I relate to DG so much. I was pickpocketed in Barcelona and the emotions you feel when you realize are horrible. You start to think that it's your fault, that you should have reacted differently, behaved differently... but yeah, it's never your fault. This is an assault and the only culprit is the pickpocket ! (Sadly it took me some time to accept that)
Happy that you guys didn't lose anything else! And it's really cute to see how you guys are here for each other and know how to support the other in crisis like those.
Big up to that lady controller and to that guy that helped you find a way !

I would be upset too if I was DG. He had all the materials from school on the ipad. But Dia is right, at least the passports, wallets etc weren't stolen. Dia is so patient and really helped DG when he was so upset. I was so relieved for both of you when you arrived at the hotel.
My feelings went up and down like a rollercoaster 📈📉📈 I can't imagine if I was in this situation. Dia is so patient, he also led and handled the atmosphere really well. Luckily, you both didn't fight and have each other to get through it all 💕

저도 유럽 갔을때 파리에서 런던까지 기차시간이 없어서 버스타고 가는데 국경 넘을 때 여권 검사 중에 나만 내리라고해서 혼자였음ㅜㅜ 불법체류자인지 엄청 확인 또 확인 저때문에 버스 연착ㅜㅜ 저 하나 때문에 버스 출발 못해서ㅜㅜ 엄청 난처했던 기억이 ㅜㅜ우여곡절 끝에 친구가 런던에서 공부 중이다 나도 학생이고 거기 머물 것이다 라고 해서 겨우 버스 탑승하고 런던 도착 했던 기억나네요 벌써 13년전이지만 유럽은 아직도 무서운 곳이네요ㅜㅜ
Here in the US, theft is so common that stores use tons of cameras and private security guards to catch people when they steal. Also, it is standard to hide everything in your car trunk so that people can't see in the window, otherwise people will break the window and steal it. I have many friends from Asia and when they come here I have to constantly remind them to be careful because they often do careless things and are not used to being around so much crime. It's very unfortunate.

You were both very lucky you still had passports and credit cards etc I hopethe ipad was locked with password I don't how I would have coped being pickpocket and train accident whereas you had to find your own way to Frankfurt I'm so glad I didn't leave Frankfurt airport the 2times I've been there even the airport is crazy no one tells you you need to bus or train between the 2 airports I hope you had travel insurance so you can possibly claim the ipad

So sorry you had this bad experience but don’t let it stop you from going to Germany again. I use to get so upset when things like this happen on trips. Now I just see it as a great story to tell people about. If everything had gone perfect this would have been just another day in a trip. Now you have an adventure to tell people and you met nice people who helped you. You figured out the transportation in another country and language worked. We had this same train issue in Germany and was shocked to find the train system is not reliable. Our trip took all day because of train issues and we had to deal with finding busses and finally just hired a driver. You are also lucky it was just the iPad and not your passport and wallets. That would have made a nightmare of things. We keep photo copy of our id and credit card in separate areas just in case someone takes our passport and credit cards. It’s so upsetting because the thieves usually get very little for what they take. I rather just hand them the cash and not have the nightmare of replacing everything. Every country has thieves and I am sure tourist have been robbed in Korea. We are going to Korea and Japan for the first time in sept and are excited but also very nervous not speaking the languages. We also are not sure where to stay in either place and how long we should. We have booked sept 13 till 26 to split between the two countries. Any help would be very kind.
Korea and Japan is quite safe and kind countries to travel. I hope you have good experience in both countries:)
