This song came out yesterday and took me about two and a half hours to learn. It's incredibly fast with many different parts, but I really enjoyed making this one and the challenge! Happy to hear more material from Pierce The Veil and I'm excited for the upcoming album! I hope you all enjoy! - เพลง

Pretty impressive pick attack. You're way of holding the pick is intriguing.
i like the way you attack the strings with your pick. you can hear the tonality difference. does it create a problem when playing live having your hand slightly curled?
Thank you! That means a lot to hear, I appreciate it. If I haven't played live/standing up for a while, it does take a second to adjust. Unless its very fast palm muted triplets or something like that, it doesn't take too long :)

For this video I recorded direct using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface, into Logic Pro X, and used Amplitube 3 for my guitar tone :)
I've never really been a big fan of this band... Like at all lol, but this song changes my opinion of them, I'll have to check out this new work, I actually thought it was really good! I'm not a guitarist but I play a stringed instrument and I can tell your technique is very good. Your fingers don't lift far from the fingerboard and your playing is very clean. Were you taught by a professional ?

London, do you have any tips on string crossing while alternate picking while palm muting the root note? I always have trouble with this
This is something that was really tough for me too. With your right hand, focus on only palm muting the lowest strings. Don't overthink and try to palm mute all six. Try playing with all downpicks, it might help the palm mute aspect. As far as the alternate picking aspect, start very slow, and make sure you are switching with each picking motion. Hope that helps and keep me posted!

ChrisTheGamer perfect! Exactly how this is supposed to work. Now that you’ve got the Palm muting part down, you can focus your energy onto the alternate picking part. Start slow, and you will 100% get it down over some time!

The song is in drop C#, so it's not terribly downtuned. One of the things I do when the tuning is lower is add a bit more treble or presence in my guitar tone :)
