I needed an energetic track to open a prog rock/prog metal/experimental music album, so I composed this piece. Buckle up! 😉
The harmonic and melodic structure is based on the G# bebop half-diminished scale. There are lots of time signature changes. Turn on the subtitles (CC) for more composition notes.
I took inspiration from images of Jupiter and its moons from the Juno, and Cassini spacecraft primarily. I included images from other missions and spacecraft related to Jupiter and its moons.

That got me fired-up! The odd time signatures switching off with 4/4 gets attention and drives it hard. The diminished 5th intervals give it a dark and sinister vibe, and the spacey toned melodies fit the space theme. I'm trying to decide if I like the intro or the ending better - so rocking! 🤘
