@@The_Isle_Enthusiast recovery gets increased a bit .When you fight a frog with a normal sword you would need like 3 seconds to lock in on another frog but with upgraded sword when you attack a frog spawn you stay like 1 second (idk i didn t test) then you can lock on another frog.Idk if its true but in my experience the upgraded sword recovers fast.
@@Mugreed not really, i prefer doing dome, docks, shield, then whatever else is needed for a hanger run but for this to work you need someone to power docks
@@Mugreed um, I always go behind the boat is search for a strange rock, then i check under the boat, and if i get one then im pretty much safe from danger, but i prefer getting the shield pack and upgrading it in lair for any kind of run, even public

A upgraded steel sword would really help because it does more dmg(prob) and has a faster recovery rate and more range
it only increases damage and gives a slight afterburn I believe, but not increased recovery or range sadly

Have you tried to do hanger with only alien guns, would be interesting to see that done with a grub gun and maggot missile
i did it with true champion (and lost several times) I should try with hanger
