the new Google Nest Pro is pretty stable. I've had it for more than a week now. all wifi speeds double, youtube videos play instantly without delay, and the mesh is strong even my neighbor 3 houses down see the signal. 😙
Interesting. I have been waiting for this to replace my Wifi5 NEST setup. However, I have yet to read anything close to a glowing review of this anywhere. Just wanted to comment on your very last point (Wifi7 is coming). That's true now and has always been true of just about any IT gear. There's ALWAYS something "better" coming!
I've upgraded to this and seems ok so far. Wouldn't be a high end gaming router killer and definitely need more than one point if you live in anything larger than a unit. The previous nest wifi I had was plaqued with reliability problems and my ISP had to stop selling them for the same reason.
I need some quick advice. I’m not a tech expert on this all that much but I got the nest wifi from sams club with one router and two satellites. It’s working fine but I can’t help but wonder about the nest pro??? My previous router was a netgear tri band router. I have the old google wifi routers google fiber gave me for free. They work fine. I actually have those hooked up with a cable. I heard these new pro models don’t work with the google wifi models. So does that mean the google wifi models won’t appear on the home app anymore after I would install the nest pro models? The google wifi models won’t be able to work at all even when hardwired with Ethernet cables? I have them outside in the backyard. I needed wifi for all my ring cameras I have. I have like 15 ring cameras another security camera setup. We use streaming devices in every room from roku. We pretty much use wifi all day and night. No gaming though. We are just three people. Would I need the nest pro models? Or the nest models i got at sams club would do fine? I still wanted to use the google wifi routers and that’s why I decided on the nest wifi instead of the pros. But now I’m thinking maybe get the newer versions instead. Anyone have any thoughts? I also like how slim the new models are. I have all my routers on the windows. They barely fit on the window edges. I put them on the window so they can get as much signal to my ring cameras in my front yard. My google fiber is gig upload and download
Us Brits speaker proper, what like I does 😁 I’m in the market for a new mesh system. I currently have a NetGear Orbi RBR50 and one satellite connected to a Virgin Media Hub 5 (1 GB download speed) but I am constantly having to reboot the Orbi as it looses speed - down to only 40/50mbs 😭😭😭 What mesh system would you recommend? I’ve seen the Asus ZenWifi AX but that only comes with 1 satellite, upgrade to the Orbi Wifi 6 (RBK753) with 2 satellites? Or is there something else you would recommend? Thanks in advance.
One thing you didn't comment on is range. How does this compare to the previous gen wifi 5 router and other 6E routers in terms of range. I am invested in the Google eco system and have a 4 nodes and 1 access point mesh nest wifi 5 system connected via wired backhaul. I so wanted to upgrade but google didn't give me a reason to. You should do a video which does a head-to-head comparison between Nest Wifi 6E and Next Wifi 5.
There’s no difference. It remains 2200 Sq feet per router. The points in the google nest wifi 5 have a lesser range. Your system connected via backaul is excellent
The mesh is very buggy early release. The internet drops about a few times a day and the router would need to be restarted. It seems like it’s a known bug after speaking with 6 different google tech supports. Wouldn’t recommend it till it’s fixed. Should’ve kept my old google wifi it performed better cause of current software issues.
where did you find the 100 devices per device, I could not find that information from support. I'm really on edge about setting up this mesh network because last time I tried orbi it drained my thermostat batteries because the thermostats were bouncing between points. So I'm not sure for price pointing here to buy 1 set it up and figure out or just keep my router that is working fine and still AX (WIFI6) and just wait to update to WIFI7 standards since everything is working fine?
My use case would be upgrading from using my ISP's native router/modem combo only. I have it on the third floor of my house and I need better speeds two floors down. I am not a power user. Would this be a good product for someone like me? Thanks.
"We gave you your language" "We gave you your freedom" (all lies that there was defeat) "We gave you a proper English breakfast" "We gave you magic wands"
If you are talking to US viewer, don't you think you should say router instead of rooter? I am just saying that because you mentioned cost in dollars $199
When adding in a new band the common sense argument would be is there is a significant improvement in hardware specs ? Or are we still going to have a bottleneck system.
Was generally wanting to watch the video until the guy started talking about how the UK gave us so much while in the United States. Generally don't care, haven't since we had the revolution

That opening joke made me laugh out loud. Thanks for that. 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the review! America greatly appreciates your generosity 😂😂
Where is the link for the software review? Didn't find it

He did briefly at 4:18 stating that the 3 pack would give you 6,600 square feet of coverage.

The old ones do this, and there wasn't a fix for years/ever
I am preferring the look of the Synology. Will watch their seminar on zoom this thursday with interest.
The Synology WAPs are Wifi 6 and not 6E meaning they don't use/have access to the 6 Ghz band from my understanding.

Thanks. Good review. I'll wait for Wifi 7 and keep my original google mesh.

Anything else would be better than ISP native gears, go for it!
What router should I buy if i am console Xbox gamer and also play on Steam Deck. Between Asus ax86u vs Nest Wifi Pro 6E?
Great review, thank you!
the best sniffer unit you can buy..
"We gave you your language"
"We gave you your freedom" (all lies that there was defeat)
"We gave you a proper English breakfast"
"We gave you magic wands"

Hello. What 8TB hard drive would you recommend for a home server? I want it to be as quiet as possible.
When adding in a new band the common sense argument would be is there is a significant improvement in hardware specs ? Or are we still going to have a bottleneck system.
You should take two points off for Piers Morgan.
4 pack is USD 450 at Costco

That joke had no business being that funny 😂😂😂

100% Yes! - It's a ROOTER !!!! Fed up with TOMAYTO and all those other mispronounced words (and misspellings!) It is the ENGLISH language.
LOL, you can say "rooter" all day long if you'll take back Prince Harry!
I'm afraid he's yours now. Please water him and keep him in sunlight
Potato, potato...I guess that didn't come out very well, did it.
whats wrong with you?
didnt you see the consequences?or you apreciate this?
you know what they do.
English should stand for English ! Some time people does make me crazy when they say IKEA, shouldn’t they know it’s call IKEA, not IKEA!
Rob, why don't you just create a new word. Rooo-ow-ter
or Row-ooo-ter. Your choice
Lol, Ramsay and Prince Harry are fine. The others make me want to boil!
