I'm traveling tomorrow morning to my grandfather's funeral. He was Catholic. I was raised so, but have discovered and decided to convert to Orthodoxy. I was supposed to go to my first orthodox service on Epiphany but instead I must go to the funeral, which will be that same day. When I emailed the Presvytera at my local parish to tell her I would not be able to make it until the Sunday liturgy when I return, her words to me were "may his memory be eternal" and it was the most comorted I had felt since his passing. Here again, watching this video with my morning coffee I can rejoice in prayer for his eternal soul. Also, we were told that we could put a small token in his casket with him if we wished. I could not think of what to bring. Watching one of your videos on the saints I saw a prayer you described as written on the walls of the catacombs: "May you live with the saints in Heaven. In God. In Christ. In the Holy Spirit. Forever." I will put this prayer along with "Christ is Risen. Memory Eternal." in his casket. Thank you for your ministry.
The easiest way for me to know what “remember” really means is that it is the opposite of dismember - to pull apart. To re-member is to bring back together in my heart/mind

My priest's father passed away last week and we held his remeberance service last Sunday so on point timing
