the reporter was constantly being snide without any attempt whatsoever of even hiding it. i honestly feel sorry for the guy. he agreed to an interview and they basically mocked him and the entire country in the documentary. very disrespectful and in generally not the way you should treat anyone, let alone the people you're interviewing.

Without the uck terrorists and after that the controll changes and backup of the US and the nato in the year 1999, you albanians wouldn't be able to form a second state, that has nothing to do with freedom because albania as a state has freedom since 1912. So youre not like kurdish people who havent a state till today...
In kosovo it has more to do with imigration from albania and the highest birthrate in whole europe and later the american imperialism (camp bondsteel) who gave its well behaved followers a few illusions of freedom but in the end its to expand the own western empire.
      Thats it.

They were not kicked out. They signed treaty with nazis and then left their people to starve and get killed. They were too weak to help their own people and did not do anithing about comunist that came after nazis. His grandfather was last true king. This "king" does not even speak Serbian. He came back only after comunist Yugoslavia fell apart (that they had nothing to do about it) to take back land, buildings and other wealth that was taken by comunists. This king is only one part of all bad things that are hapening to our poor country right now.

L3n Xp3ri4 Hey now. Just because he insulted us as a nation doesn't mean we need to get down on his level. Many people will never in their lives understand what has happened to us on kosovo, and sadly my friend, that's a fact. I had a friend who I met in Greece trough my 2nd TH-cam channel. A Greek. We met on Halkidiki, in a city caled Pefkohori. We were very excited once we met one another, and so we exchanged our numbers on Viber. One time, I was talking to him about kosovo, he said: "If a region wants to be independent, why shouldn't it be independent?" So I asked him: "Do you think kosovo is independent?" He said: "Yeah, I fully support it's independence." I was shocked, and completely outraged by hearing that. Once I told him some cases of which our little inflitraitors did to our land, he said: "Oh that's just your media spreading propaganda so that you could hate Albanians". Then I gave him a history lesson. A literal one. After that and me trying to mash the truth inside his brain (don't know did he believe me or not) he said: "Okay, I can't argue against that."
I was still shocked after that. "Greeks are our brothers, most of them would BLINDLY follow us no matter what we did, good or bad thing!" I tought...
Tried to contact the guy a few weeks ago. He doesn't respond. Too bad. We could have been great friends, and also the first friend who I met across the internet in real life

modernity caught up with the European Royals and they did not adjust well, unlike in the past where they have knights and chivalry at the end of the 16th century all they do is ballroom and when the US style no longer community and tribe based but democratic big government came they got caught with their pants down. Still if they take over government they will be more effective than those who just are after salary and are monotonous robots however despite having learned and been educated in the US and know how to run and operate government. They will never be a match for the Nazi's which will put a middle-class eventually after these nobles develop the country at a ripe enough stage.

He is, according to his formal title, the Crown Prince of Yugoslavia not Serbia. Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore but Royal (and some Masonic) ambition is obviously still there. Reversing (or downgrading) the title (to be the Crown Prince of Serbia) would require some serious reckoning.

    • @FinWizTube
      @FinWizTube 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@Classic Of course, it shouldn't be technically too hard to do, but the devil is in the details, some historical and some more actual. His father left the country (although only 18 and very inexperienced) at the time of big troubles, i.e. German invasion in 1941, so the memories of Monarchy were not really universally accepted as positive. His grandfather suspended the Constitution and imposed the dictatorship in order, he thought, to calm the hot political situation and Croatian separatist intentions. Either way, you are right, technically the monarch as a head of State shouldn't be a big problem. The current Prince is not fluent in Serbian, he is a divorcee and he married a Roman Catholic. All those things are not enormous problems as Serbs are quite liberal and tolerant (the younger population at least) but it's not quite a good fit for somebody who should represent the Serbian people (he should speak the language at least) and be aligned with the Church, and predominant Serbian religion (Christian Orthodoxy). Re the UK democracy: despite the typical British propaganda and political marketing over the centuries, I wouldn't consider the UK as a democracy. Not only because of lack of democratically elected Head of State but the sheer nature of their Parliament where the upper house (House of Lords) is hereditary, the seats can be not only inherited but purchased as well. Some would argue that House of Lords is only the influencer and that Lower House (the House of Commons) is the one that 'approves' the Law, but the influence is important nevertheless. The House of Lords is not diferent from Washington lobby machine, not quite democratic tool where anything can be done with the money.

There are other royal families in exile even without kingdoms or money, are still consider descendants. Asking if they are “pretending” is really rude.

I would personally support Semi-Constitutional monarchy in Serbia. While Serbia deserves Democracy, and Karađorđević dynasty has always fought for Constitutional rule, Serbia needs someone who can lead when Politics grind to a hault. When politicians get so divided, that they can't agree on anything. Of Course, checks and balances must exist to make sure neither side takes other down

So majority of people know that king flew to United Kingdom in 2WW, leaving the country without anyone to carry on. Serbia was alone and abandoned along with the people in , at the begining of the war 1941. That's why people dont have good oppinion about monarcs.
Other King, king Peter was exeption from this type of ruler. During 1WW he was with his people till the end so many children, women, old people leaded by their king left Serbia. Many of them lost their life. But his role of king stayed in the history as the king who was loved and respected. I dont think that this men, grown up in United Kingdom, can understand Serbia's needs, problems, criminal, hatred, disrespect. No, he s not used to this situation. He has English mentality.

A constitutional monarchy like countries such as Britain, Spain, Japan, Jordan, Lesotho and Liechtenstein, Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, Monaco and Tonga as well as the 15 realms of Elizabeth ll such as Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Jamaica, Papua New Guinea, Grenada, Belize and St Lucia are a great example of how the institution has a role. The Queen has powers that she would never use but she denies to others.
Spain restored its monarchy in 1975 with much success. The Crown expressed continuity and duty above party politics. The monarch doesn't have to worry about reelection like a President. They are there to serve the country for life.

I think there are as too many reasons on why Tito said the family as the "enemies of the state") or other reasons on why this king besides being the legitimate king of Serbia in blood too is, 1. He doesn't speak Serbian (or if likely maybe if really did, or he's just speaking English in his interview or that he really doesn't know how to) He would probably be hated by the majority of Serbs, not the minority of Serbs liking him but hating him. Knowing that the fact that Serbia has a dark history during the Yugoslav Wars and about patriotism or nationalism, couplied with the fact that there are few more people who wants to restore Yugoslavia as a republic (federal or socialist, whatever) is concerning for his reputation, also his arrival in Serbia that he was about to become popular was probably because he was just the son of King Peter II, the former king of Yugoslavia (or now Serbia) and of course something in history does make something quite popular but it doesn't mean some people would leave something important in their present (Meaning that due to some Serbs being highly patriotic, they wouldn't want a born and raised Serbian that only knows how to speak English. They would probably rather face a government that's not corrupt and democratic for Serbia's situation right now in the modern world on onto this day). Don't trust any news channel nor history channel in tv (However this doesn't reffrain you from liking watching tv) just don't watch them if you don't want to be misinformed (channels like these are just sometimes biased), I'd recommend watching history TH-cam channels instead because there is only a 50/50 chance of getting misinformed but the other 50 is not. Vice and Vox are also the ones that they can talk about these things.
Anyways moral of the story, don't trust some channels certainly, especially with a country that has a lot of conflicts and some that are one minded. Still this is an interesting topic

To note King Peter || self identified ethnically as Yugoslav (not Serb). Loyalty wise he basically voided his Serbian Heritage over a Pan South Slavic identity. So, that means that the current pretender remains short of 100% Serb.
If I'm not mistaken Yugoslavs in Serbia are actually recognised as an ethnic minority and are mostly prevalent in Vojvodina among the ethnically mixed villages there. They seem not to be present anywhere else in Serbia. They are however still very present in neighbouring Bosnia & Macedonia. Perhaps he should consider claiming his titles there.

"Serbia's monarchs were kicked out of the country during World War II but they never gave up the claim to the throne" - WRONG! They were not kicked out, they fled. Took as many gold as can be loaded into an airplane and fled during the night. And they did give up the claim - first they ordered the Royalist resistance to disband and join the Communist led one, then they agreed on a referendum that they lost. On March 2nd 1945 the king (father of this guy in the video) gave up his power and transferred it to three Royal advisers in the new government - effectively giving up his position as a head of state, an abdication. That government, together with 3 Royal advisers, voted for the transformation into a Republic and that was it.
His family has no more claim on the title or the property formerly owned by the dynasty that is actually state owned. Why does our government let him falsely represent himself, I don't know. He and his family even got a royal mansion (former royal residence) back for God knows what reason, and they never payed any utilities for the place (over a decade's worth), racking up the bill to astronomic heights that is then left for the budget to cover up (read, taxpayers now have to pay his bills).
I have actually met the guy, I was at the reception for good students a decade ago. We all got a nice leather case/bag and a book on his father, but at the same time the bag was filled with dozens of propaganda pamphlets "Serbia - a monarchy for 21st century".
    The nerve of the guy!
He does not speak our language, his kids know more about some British village than "their" own country, he lived on our backs for years (maybe he still does, I don't know anymore - we have bigger problems), his father fled the country and abandoned his people, his grandfather ruined the country before that (but not before he placed his own brother in asylum so that he could take the throne) and his grand-grand father got the crown after the previous king was killed and mutilated together with his wife and thrown out of the window - the role of Karađorđević dynasty and their supporters in that murder was never truly investigated.
We DON'T NEED or WANT him or his family. All he can be is an ordinary citizen with all the rights and obligations that come with it. And the least he and his family could do if they want to call themselves Serbs in any shape or form is to learn the language.
