“The direct material cost of each component is $270. This price is part of a fixed price contract with the material suppliers and the contract does not expire for another Year”
This statement alone I thought would mean $270 is not relevant… being its commitment fixed cost for 2years or so..

Fixed price contract does not make it a committed cost.Fixed price contract is a contract in which the contractor agrees to a fixed contract price or a fixed rate per unit of output.

sir, i believe that the P1 should be 1400 and Q1 to be 7000 and P2 to be 1300 while Q2 is 900
