I try to catch every Asterism clip that comes out, as I love this band. This video has the best sound of any live Asterism performance I've seen. The clarity of the drums, in particular, and separation of the instruments are outstanding. As others have commented, big praise and thanks to AaronRokz (or whoever captured this) for posting it. Asterism, please come back to New York!
There are a lot of fantastic Japanese female guitarists. But Haruka not only is as good or better than any of them technically but she has such a fantastic personality and stage presence.
It's so gratifying when artists like ASTERISM, that we come to admire from afar, turn out to be even better - musically and personally - than we even imagined!
love her! but to be fair she is a featured player and a few other guitarists I love have to play roles ..TOMO-ZO, "sun-go" and SAKI(now free of band confines but only a few months)--all guitarists Hal-ca looks up to I believe...not that I don't think she may surpass them in time..its possible, she is that great. Li-sa-X is all amazing just different!
Thanks for this. I swore I’d go anywhere to see them when they came back to the U.S., but couldn’t do it. One of my absolute favorite bands these last couple of years.
I've said it before but it bears repeating. God Bless Babymetal for turning my eye towards the music scene in Japan allowing me to discover greatness. Because that is what we are seeing here. Greatness. Anyone who sees it must recognize it. It's undeniable.
I don't think Babymetal deserves the credit for that, a lot of people were fans of Japanese music and rock before and after that, it may have helped especially for the new wave of female rock bands but it was bound to happen either way
BABYMETAL did not start out as a sales contract with a Western record company, but was distributed worldwide via TH-cam. It was not Amuse's intention to expand into the world at first, but it was an accident that their funny existence became known to the world through the Internet. In this sense, It is true that BABYMETAL was his first introduction to the existence of Japanese rock music. In any case, there are many hidden talents and bands in Japan that have been buried in every genre and era of music. Western audiences did not know that Japanese music existed until the advent of the Internet. The reason is that the Western music industry and record labels have ignored them as a source of supply, not signing formal sales contracts with them for almost 100% of the Western market. This has forced many musicians, even those with rare talent,(ex Tatsuro Yamashita,Masayoshi Takanaka etc) to work only in the Japanese domestic market, without even the opportunity to sell their music in the global market. Personal distribution on the Internet, such as TH-cam, easily overcame the hard barriers of the music industry, and since the millennium, many people around the world have become aware of the existence of Japan's musical past. The history of rock, popular music, jazz, and fusion in Japan has followed the same course as that of Western music history under Western influence since around the time of the Beatles' appearance. The reality is that each of these eras has produced an astonishing number of talented bands, musicians, composers, songwriters, and singers over the past 60 years. In fact, it is not strange that this happened only in Japan, and many people know that the Japanese musical instrument and music equipment manufacturing industry such as YAMAHA, KORG, ROLAND, SONY, DENON, etc. have grown as international companies in the world since the 1950's. It was only natural that they would focus their efforts on cultivating and educating musicians in order to increase demand for their instruments in Japan, their home country.
@@aaronrokz Amuse is an entertainment agency, not a record company. Moreover, it is a Japanese company. They need a contract with a Western record company in order to release CDs and DVDs in Europe, the U.S. and the world.
I have watched this a stupid amount of times. 'Pristine' is the perfect way to describe it. Thank you for recording this. Rapidly becoming my favorite channel on YT. You should go and record the Asterism tour in Japan LOL!

Me too and I kick myself for not boarding a plane to see them in the USA in 23.
This is too badass. I LOVE THIS BAND!!!
Amazing performance, but also great shooting/sound! Thanks for capturing and sharing this!

She’s hands down the most impressive guitarist from Japan, female or otherwise.

Yes Hal Ca is really so amazing. Love her style

@@gao1258 Aikra Takasaki from Loudness is her true guitar hero from what she said during their appearance at last month's Crash Crisis festival

The audio & video quality of your vods is leaps and bounds better than the usual Asterism fan-cam uploads. ナイス👍

Yep, Babymetal was my introduction to the insanely fantastic world of Japanese musical culture, and I do thank them for it.

They are now signed by Amuse Inc. same as Babymetal.

一体感がすごすぎるぞ
単なるテクニカル・メタルかと思って敬遠してたけど、そうではないんだね。
60年代や70年代の匂いがして、ジミ・ヘンドリックス的なヴァイブさえある。
I also discounted Asterism for too long for exactly the same misconception. But their songwriting and emotion is deep as well as technical.
this really shows how good mio is on drums..
He is a beast on drums, period! Feeling it live is incredible!
