Gwen has the most inventive/unusual song choices in my opinion. She's not a great vocalist but she is a very creative woman who is truly musical. Of all the judges who have ever been on The Voice - Gwen put in the most years working with a band and really living the life. She was no overnight success.
I'm so glad Gwen went with Jason. After his audition I discovered more of him on his channel and he's a gift. This was a great battle, favourite one now, beautiful duet so smooth I could listen to it on repeat over a drive. I hope Eli gets his break too.
I gotta say this about Gwen - she really stepped up and opened up ONCE Blake left !!! She was the most boring Coach ever then this year, she's one of if not my favorite ! She all of a sudden is deep, thoughtful, analytical and funny !!! In fact her analysis seems always better than the other 3 who seem to say the same ol thing over n over again. Way to Go Gwen !!!!
Being from Hawai'i, this was my favorite song choice for both men, awesome, but yes Jason you is da Kanaka of choice. My only advice would be, enjoy the ride, and keep on singing , i know you can hit them high notes, go for it braddah man. E'O KANAKA, team Gwen 🤙🤙🤙
This definitely look like a duet than a battle....kudos to both of them....love their voices although I'm leaning towards Jason...love his voice with that serene velvety quality.... Im touched when Gwen said that it differs from acrobatic voices...it only shows that she got high regard to all singers...I'm waiting for a day that those singers with kind of voice will win the voice...
Totally agree their both beautiful voices. But Jason warmth in the texture of his voice really made me feel the story of that song, he is definitely a story teller . I believe what he was singing and it was like I said the texture so smooth.
Gwen made the right choice on this one I must say and she threw a good logic about readiness. Jason simply stood out sounding and looking more confident and and using pro vocal techniques.

It was much more like a duet than a battle to me. Loved hearing the smooth tones of Bread from these guys. I thought they both sounded silky smooth and very groovy!
Now I know why the other judges were saying they’d pick Eli , cause they wanted to steal jason. I was like am I listening to the same thing as them? Jason was by far better! Then I saw that none of them saved Eli. I was like yup that was them being strategic lol
Jason wasn’t “far better”. John even commented that Eli sounded more confident in his delivery. Jason’s heady mix shined whereas Eli’s chest voice and belts were his highlights. It was a fairly even battle I believe.
Wow! These guys made the song come alive. They can do a remake. My older sister used to listen to this as a teenager, I was in grade school. Now I’m almost 60, it still sounds good.
I actually was shock when Gwen said that Jason was the winner, I really liked Jason but after hearing the other coaches judgment, I thought he wouldn't make it, so I'm so glad. Jason was really consistent throughout the battle. Eli did not either, the best of luck to him.
It’s a strategy for the other judges to praise or choose the other guy hoping the actual judge would pick him as well, so at the end, the other judges would have a chance to steal the one they actually liked more. 🤔🤔🤔

I was particularly very surprised with John Legend's choice since he himself is a soulful singer. One would expect he would choose Jason who is a much soulful singer compared to Eli. But I guess he was just trying to trick Gwen so he could steal Jason. Gwen was actually quite surprised with John Legend's pick. Pretty sure she saw right through him.

I expected Eli to go through, but glad that Jason got the slot for the Knockouts because he's in his own lane. while Eli kinda sound like a couple of other contestants this season. Jason can be compared to Caleb of Team Legend, just stable, humble, and gentle performances
