1. Trunks being *traumatized* by 18 being so chill was hillarious 2. Zamasu being able to keep up with Goku in SSJ2 makes Shin even *more pathetic* lol
Fun fact: Zamasu's voice actor, James Marsters, previously played King Piccolo in the live-action movie Dragon Ball: Evolution. Despite how poorly that movie was received, he was a big fan of the series and pushed for Piccolo to look as faithful as possible (he was apparently going to be changed to look like a more human pretty boy)
@@Tantalus010nah James Marsters should be mentioned. He’s a true fan. So since he’s a union actor, FUNimation can’t pay him to play Zamasu…so James Marsters is like ok the I’ll do it for free. He’s Zamasu. for. FREE. Dude loves Dragon Ball that much.
Goku was actually SS2 when he sparred with Zamasu, you could tell by the slightly more spiked hair, fewer bangs hanging down, and the little zappy-zaps.
To be fair, unless you're specifically Cell Saga Gohan it's near impossible to tell 2 and 1 apart, especially when the little zappy zaps aren't going off.
Zamasu's english voice actor really just does such an incredible job. Personally really enjoy Zamasu as a villain because of the mystery that is being set up and the time we get to spend with him and Gowasu to get to know who he is and why he does what he does. (Though obviously it's still Dragonball so it's not the most relateable or deep motivation)
I don't mind the Mai bit, she has the memories of an adult, but the mind of 6 year old (or however old they're supposed to be). ...and she's totally disinterested in kid Trunks, who has a massive crush on her, so she's not really doing anything wrong, beyond existing, lol. Realistically, the bulk of her memory should be impacted by just being an infant again (there's an argument she shouldn't even remember who she was tbh since she was turned into a baby, but its a cartoon, lol).
Goku fought Zamasu in Super Saiyan 2, note the lightning and fewer bangs. Whis calls it Super Saiyan as a general term, referring to the whole line of transformations.
When I first saw Goku Black, I assumed he was some kind of fusion of future Goku, and some evil being that ends up taking over his will. My assumption would've required some greater threat appeared, which forced Goku and the evil being to work together, eventually resulting in their only option being fusion. And once that threat was defeated, somehow they stayed fused.
Just want to point out goku was in super saiyan 2 not the first form. You can tell when electricity starts zapping all around him and his hair is spikier.
Even tho mai and the other little guys have their memories of being over 40 they still have the brains and chemistry of a child. Hence the bandaid plan
@@LAA_197 Also Toriyama said ss2 and 3 are more like levels to the super saiyan transformation, so technically its all the same transformation ''super saiyan''.

I really hate how annoying and immature Super Goku is. At least before he was a bit more respectful (yeah not by much but still noticeable) towards the Kais. It doesn't matter that he's been around them for years, he should still show some restraint and stop begging people to fight him like a child.
By the fact you are now getting the full picture of it.. Zamasu is hated by many of the older fans of the show.. not by me..cause if you get to know the 10. Universe.. he is not wrong with his way of thinking, but Goku always proofed that mortals are worthy to be protect and guided. Zamasu's ideals are true. But misguided.

I've always never liked the Trunks and Mai stuff. The future Mai stuff is fine, since they are of age, even if technically Mai would be around like 70-ish years old in a 30 year old woman's body, still fine. With kid Trunks and Mai and Future Trunks, it's so yucky cause she's a literal child. And I don't personally justify the reason of she's a 30 year old in that child body, if she looks like a toddler, that should be a no-go zone. Plus, if they wanted levity in a serious story, just have Trunks reconnect with everyone in small bits. I just really wish they had some foresight into the Pilaf Gang. They are not funny and honestly just a relic of older stories.
It’s not like Future Trunks has a crush on present Mai, it’s Mai (who’s in her 40’s btw) has a crush on him. Kids have a crush on an older person isn’t weird, it’s only the reverse that is. And that’s not the case here. But again, this is a woman in her 40’s crushing on a man in his 20’s. It’s weird but not Chris Hansen weird.
