Can I just say, I have been home sick for most of this week (nothing scary just a v stubborn cold) and your videos have been such a bright spot and have really resparked my interest in the sims
Aw yay! I was home schooled it's cool to see people talking about it. In my experience I think a home schooled Sim would have *all* the age -appropriate skill building items!! All of them!! Definitely lots of bookcases as you have, and I love the office learning space. Big kitchen is also important to learn cooking; and lots of outdoor activities to keep fit because you don't have access to school sports pitches or gyms etc. One thing I think was super important to me as a home ed kid was playing board/card games with my parents!! Ooh ooh and caring for animals - I had hamsters and gerbils, learning responsibility. Would love to see more home ed spaces - would be cool to see more like this, but maybe one with a home ed teen, or possibly iterating on it with a sim studying at uni from home!
Other thoughts (I have a lot I used to write a whole column in our village magazine about being home ed) - maybe think about why the children are home ed. Is it because they were really clever for their age, so their bedroom is full of books and projects? Did the family want to learn more actively, by traveling and visiting historic and interesting places? Did the child want to be creative more than school allowed but isn't strong at academics, and spends all their time drawing and has to be dragged into do some maths? Or were they bullied at school for some reason, that they're able to fully express at home (their gender identity, their disability, their nerdy interests)? Thoughts to lead to character! Now going to go look for a home schooling mod....
I almost cried reading the title of this video. I know it's such a small thing, but it feels so good to feel seen and to see homeschoolers represented in this *gorgeous* build. Thank you, MsGryphi! You're always so considerate, and build the most beautiful things.
I was also going to say, as a homeschool mom I love this! Someone beat me to it obviously, but the feeling still applies. We live in an apartment and do school at our dining room table most days, we've got some fun fairy lights, posters, etc. in there. But it would be so nice to have an office!
Such a cute house! As someone who was homeschooled I love it! Would definitely love to see another build for a homeschool family with lots of family objects and activities!
Wow ! love this build... it's very homely but not overcluttered ( I really dislike over cluttered homes because my PC just can't keep up 😂) that thing you did overlapping the windows, so simple yet genious !!! i never thought to do that so thanks for the inspiration.
I’m sad that stuff packs are dead (I consider them dead… replaced by kits) bc tiny living, paranormal, laundry day are some of my favorite stuff packs I use so often.
Amazing build, again! Definitely gonna put it in game across another house from you. Could you maybe build a house (maybe a duplex or something) for two young adult sisters who are different but have a close bond. In my game one of the sisters is into space and building her own rocket ship so she can hopefully visit sixam one day and the other sister really enjoys designing and fashion and is working on her social media channel. She got this from her aunt who is an amazing stylist and had a big influence on her when she grew up. Even though she likes it for now, she doesn't know if this is what she wants to do for the rest of her life. It's just an idea, you do you cause your builds are great
house looks amazing! i wish homeschool was an actual an option the sims 4 now. otherwise, the kids "responsibility" will go down so much, and the parent sims would constantly be "lecturing about responsibilities" which affects relationships... argh 😖 Sims 4 limitations!!!

As an actual homeschooling mom I love this design and need to move into this house irl.
Paranormal stuff pack is one of my favorites and I love that Doctor Ashley made the haunted house for that pack.

I love using that tile from parenthood in my kitchens and that swatch is my fave and then the yellow,,cream and gray swatch
