Hi Ewejin, thanks for this. I got a Tune Up kit for my GCP before I received it. Brass shower plate, Precision shower screen and Silicone gasket. Once I got it I saw a video of a guy cutting three turns off the OPV spring to 9 bars. Next I bought a bottomless portafilter on Ebay from The Espresso Store. Shipped to me here in Costa Rica from Milan Italy for $45 total cost. I was happy with the machine but I was getting frustrated with tempereture surfing. I boght an Auber PID, Shades of Coffee Top Box, Flow Control and Preasure Guage. We added a second SSR for steam control. Very happy with the mods and I finally feel in control of my machine. When we tested the preasure it was almost exactly nine bars at full pump power. Cutting off three turns from the OPV spring was spot on!
I upgraded to an IMS than upgraded to a Pullman basket and that was a huge upgrade! I already have a PID with pressure gauge and dimmer mod . Next upgrade is the brass boiler when it come sout in January ! Not going to bother with Gaggiuino, I like to have some tactile control as opposed to a fully automated machine. I only do lever shots anyway so all the other shot profiles would be waste don me.
I mostly like the scales' mod! I got one recently and I'm so happy with it. I've got a grinder coming. I'm not that technical (lack-of-confidence) and I like these videos.
Yeah its too much of an effort to go through wit it, I already joined the discord and its just heaps of people freaking out because something ha snot gone right and their machine is in pieces. Also, the firmware is only compatible with the Ulka water pump, so if upi upgrade to an OLAB silent green pump , same at Lelit Mara X, you cannot do the Gaggiuino mod.
Mr. Ewejin Tee, Could you please share a video or picture of the bypassing Eco Timer mode and the wiring diagram for the Gaggia with the one already installed PID controller? Thanks in advance.
Awesome Mr. Ewejintee! Your explanation was very clear and easy to understand. Thanks for taking the time to help me. I just need to remove the power switch spring and connect it to a smart Wi-Fi switch for more convenience
@@whatruta Yah even the Discord is complicated, its just full of people crying for help. I fyo get a box tope with pressure gauge and dimmer mod than you can just do lever shots and not have to worry about Gagguino.
@@niegland Hi, I'm located in Malaysia. And I usually use fresh milk (non low fat). The local brand here is called 'Farm Fresh'. There are a couple of milk types out there and you have to choose those with fat content in order to make beautiful latte art 😋
I cannot advice further. You'll have to study the wiring inside the Machine. I think the PID works with many devices, as long as you find the right wire and temperature probe fixtures. Good luck!
Are these still having the issue with the “Boilergate” flakes ppl were complaining about 3-5 months ago after a month or 2 of owning the machine? I’m new to espresso machines and I was gonna pay when I came across those videos :(
I bought two days ago a new machine and it had just for the first two steamings some dark super small flakes coming out of the steam wand. now its cleanest water and all fine, its just washing the boiler I think. no more flakes, tasty espresso all fine.
That's the plan, but it seems a little bit too technical for me and I need a longer time to research and study it. It's on my list for the next major upgrade but currently, I don't have the time to really dive into it. I am already in the Gagguino Discord and Groups and all but it's just too much information for me right now :D

Just save your money for a better machine. This way you don't void a warranty or burn down your house. Makes no sense send $500 then another $500 for no warranty. Save your money buy one machine that has all the features that you want/need. Then you can spend your money on quality coffee.
Do not, follow what this guy is doing. When you start monkeying around with taking apart a factory assembled product, not only do you void the warranty….you will likely have immediate problems. It’s simple folks, you buy an Gaggia to enjoy the cafe’ experience, not to tear it apart 😂

I recommend switching the drip tray for a low profile one to avoid having to remove it to insert the scale. I got mine for super cheap at Amazon.

Hi. Thanks for your comment. Let me do a TH-cam Shorts. I think it's easier that way without needing to edit a whole lot of video footages :)

Yes it's the same! :)

is it normal for Gaggia to have random leakage like in your video or is it because you modded it?
I didn't have any leaking issues before modding it. It was just an upgrade to enhance the consistency in coffee making 😀

Are you an idiot?
You did not purge the steam wand and you barely had pressure to make silky milk. There is a video on how to get more pressure out of the wand.
