@@festinator88honestly they’re both about the same in my experience. If you want bravery, the Perlino Andalusian is one of the bravest in the game. @@RockworthRDR2 haha I want brave but I also want fast. I know speed doesn’t actually matter too much but at top speed you can feel the small difference and it’s pretty satisfying to me imo. Turkoman seemed best of both worlds but if it’s not great with predators.. mft might be the way to go
I like mine, size, speed, health, stamina, climbing, manouvering. I find myself dismounting for big shootouts with any horse so mounted shootout bravery isn't that important to me, but wildlife attacks are a problem with this one. Panther is the same like on the video, grizzlies too, cougars and gators not so much, but a pack of wolves is the worst. I know where all of these tend to spawn so full eagle eye and poison arrows are ready when riding through those areas. It was always between Turkoman, Missouri and that beautiful red Andalusian from Strawberry stable for me. Missouri looks and rides great though it kind of has a mind of it's own, it wanders off, I always have to run towards it no matter how much I whistle and if there's a shootout or wildlife I want to leave it never responds the way it should. Andalusian on the other hand always comes and a lot of times it gets in the line of fire which is admirable but dangerous, I had a few killed and killed a few that way. It just doesn't care about predators, a life saver and a time saver. Now, writing this, I think I like Andalusian the best.
Thanks Rockworth. This is exactly why we have stables, there's no one "best" horse in the game.... & If all horses of the same breed behave the same why do I have a swear jar?
IKR! The expensive horses suck! In both my playthroughs i used a black American standardbred and those horses are fast and tough and doesn't buck me at the first sight of danger. Yesterday I literally rode the horse over a gator that snapped at the horse, and it still didn't buck me. The mustang, Arabian, fox trotter and Turkoman all bucked no matter the threat big or small.
@@E-raticWarrior I had a fully bonded black standardbred that bahaved so well in the swamps even with gators everywhere. Had to name him "Swamp Rat", it's like he was born for the bayou.
@@themagnus2919 exactly! I tried every other horse and had to go back to the standardbred. I have to admit though the Fox Trotter is definitely faster.
I agree on the hidden bravery variable. I'm still using the Tennessee Walker we get from the Adler homestead in chapter 1. I think constant pat/brush/feeds have upped his bravery. I got thrown a few times early on, but we just took down a Lemoyne panther the other day, and Whiskey didn't buck me off once.
I recently tamed a wild bay mustang. Bravest horse I ever had in the game. Even before full bonding, he didn't fear wolves or cougars, and barely reacts to snakes (and every npc comments favorably on it when I ride past). I didn't think it was such a high quality horse, despite the low resale price. Plus I find him very nice looking with his feathers and markings, and stocky build. AND it's a combo horse: war/work, which is rare. I'm gonna hold on to him for sure (and try him against grizzlies and gators).
I love mustangs in this game, especially the Grullo dun coat I found looking for the MFT my little dude was a trooper…Balrock was his name hahah he died in the last chapter but I have saves that still contain his essence hahaha. I hated seeing him get shot in the head so I started crafting explosive rounds to make every gun fight reach a conclusion quickly!
As much as I want to love the Turkomans, in all my playthroughs, I just don't have any luck with them. For me, Dutch Warmbloods, Andalusians, Hungarian Halfbreds, Mustangs and Appaloosas all fare MUCH better in bravery when in battle and around predators.
I have wild bay mustang male i named him Ares because of bravery in combat he doesnt wanders of like the MFT and other horses, though hes not the fastest nor the best endurance and health but he always stick by my side even the enemy shooting at me hes stood there like its guarding me ❤
On my second playthrough right now and my Turkoman is a damn coward. Was trying to get the High Hat in Van Horn and when I did and got into a gunfight, he bucked me off and left me for dead. He's level 4 bonded mind you and I sold him for the Leopard Appaloossa in chapter 4 and she's far braver at level 2 bonding than my Turkoman ever did tbh.
@@RockworthRDR2 I really wish the Van Horn Stable horses became available sooner, they aren't good enough to justify a Ch.6 unlock, especially the Leopard Appaloosa, a downgrade over the Chocolate Roan Dutch Warmblood.

For predators, i use the Appaloosa fro saving Tilly. She's my go to horse when dealing with predators. Thanks for the vids. I really enjoy watchinh your style.
I used this horse through the end of the game after this mission, seemed like a perfect fit for Arthur, and mine was not skittish at all (though I think its 50/50 if they are dependable or not). Only nitpick for me is that this mission was almost at the end of Ch 3, not early!
There is no bravery Stat. Its completely random. Once i‘ve got a tanky Black arabian with no fear and a skitty Turkoman. Another playthrough it was completely different. But this horse is in my opinion one of the best looking horses in the game, so this is why I love it (online and single player). Just choose the horse you like and go for it. Only in gun fights it could be useful to have a lot of health…with a Morgan you have to walk home 😂
Nobody says bravery is a “stat” what bravery is… is a TEMPERAMENT! But yes I agree bravery can be random. For example the black Turkoman for 40 Gold I’ve owned about 6 or 7 on different accounts & restarts…. 2 of them were complete lemons 🍋 🍋 there was no fixing them. I also have had a very brave black Arabian but only once out of 5. So I think on average bravery temperament horses are usually true , but the random roll can get a lemon. Vice versa
I am only now trying out the Few Spotted Appalosa, I must say, the horse doesnt even blink to wolves, has no problems being close to gators, hasn’t bucked me once yet.
I kind of think the point of this is not that it's the best horse or horse breed. It's the fact Arthur can not buy this horse from a stable. Making this the only way to get that color as Arthur! Being they patched that Saint Denis horse spawn thing years ago!
this horse is so overrated. people always talk about how brave it is during gun fights but literally every horse with level 4 bonding is brave during gun fights. even the arabian, the most cowardly horse, doesn't buck me off during gun fights when it has level 4 bonding. it's as scared of predators as the arabian and gets agitated when you ride it at full speed. i don't really see why you would use this other than looks when a level 4 arabian has more health, more stamina, more acceleration, better handling, same bravery.

Hey man, not sure if this is the video for this though it is your video and that is why I am posting this here. Not even sure if you will see it. I came across something very interesting. I have a glitch that I really don't know how I pulled off. All I know is it might be something for you to play around with. I was doing the first mission with Hosea and in failing the mission and restarting it from checkpoint and the beginning and even abandoning it to start it by triggering it again. Not sure if a save load was used. I somehow ended up with an Ardennes that is 100% invincible. I tried to kill it to free up the stable slot and I can't kill it. I have thrown us off cliff after cliff and even gotten it run over by a train twice that was pulling in and out of Valentine and it's still alive. It is 100% invincible. I don't have a clue of how I pulled it off. Though I gave you all the possible things I did. Maybe you might have the patience to figure it out. To be a bit more specific of what I was doing I was trying to get the Dutch Warmblood as a female. To fail I was shooting the people in town and restart from the beginning mostly. One time I tried the reloading from the checkpoint to see exactly what would happen. I failed this way a good amount of times and one time failing I abandoned the mission to start it all over again by talking to Hosea. I restarted by failing another two to three times and I ended up with this Ardennes being invincible. I don't know what the exact glitch is though. The stamina, stamina core and health core will still go down on it but the health bar does not change. So I saved and loaded the save and it seems like it's a very temporary glitch though I think if it could be found out people could still have a bit of fun with it for a bit.
I used to need this horse, but now I prefer the MFT. My last B Turkoman got a bullet breakfast after throwing me off on top of a gator. I was already annoyed as he whined the whole way there. The gold Turk in the epilogue was much better in my last play through.
My turk runs over gators for breakfast and never bucks me off when ambushed by raiders and wolves alike. I’m not sure what’s wrong with yours? I don’t have an mft but from my friends experience it isn’t brave at alll
Love the look of this one and the silver but the neck swing issue with the Turks annoys me too much to enjoy it, a damn shame. Its okay plenty of other great horses on offer.
Now if only I could get the B brand off it's rear end!!!! 😂😂 Has anyone gotten the male white Arabian? I think in my next playthrough I'm getting that horse. It's the only way to get a male white Arabian in the campaign. And also Douche.... I mean Dutch has the same horse. So was wondering if anything would be said. I noticed them talking.about the MFT! Mainly Sean and Hosea but most said at least something.
@@RockworthRDR2 got him. Tks. He's more skittish than yours. Afraid of every snake. My Hungarian vocalizes and let's me know when their is a snake nearby, actually I would miss half of them without him. The one you suggested doesn't sense them as far away but bucks if they get underfoot. He is similar in that sense to my white Arabian which I dumped. The Hungarian is more like my black Arabian who is very brave. Is there a hidden variable for braveness?
Turkomans are an excellent choice for a well-rounded horse in terms of size not being too big or too small, above average speed, reasonable acceleration, 10/10 health & attractive AF. Very hearty & healthy bold breed! However I’ve owned a couple lemons 🍋 🍋 that said getting a lemon Turkoman is very rare odds in my experience. Also very rare odds is getting a brave black Arabian. I’ve owned 1 brave Arabian out of 5 attempts. So on average your breed choice will live up to its temperament. If it’s a lemon just make lemonade & try again!
It changes honestly lol. I usually rotate between like 3 horses, but as of now, I gotta go with the perlino andalusian. Players typically prefer a faster horse, but you can watch my video here: th-cam.com/video/tszkEGGte7E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rm6RUcmpn48VfGLR and change that 3 speed into a 6 speed. It has stellar health, plus its bravery is respectable.
Anyone can get a turk or a black arabian in chapter 2, in Saint Denis, not the gold turk. I discovered by mistake, but I'm sure someone made a video for that.
If you like more than 1 of them, can you take more than 1 of them ??? They realllllyyyyy need to change the Dead Eye button, I screw it up 9x out of 10 🤣🤣🤣
I did this on chapter 2. Go to Saint Denis, on the evening and a random event will spawn near center of the city, a black guy will try to rob a white couple. Doesn't matter if you stop or not the robbery, the couple will have a black arabian or a turk. Get it and be happy. 😊
I just did this yesterday but I didn’t do it in the stall I didn’t go through all this trouble lol , I waited until I got the horses over to Clive and the walked up to the Turkmen fed it bonded with it soon as level one bonded was achieved I made sure I mounted the horse so it would automatically become my temporary horse and soon as the mission was over I seen the temporary horse symbol then mounted rode it to the stable and had the stable saddle it and now ride it , you went through to much trouble to get it lol and the white Arabian I can just got to lake Isabella and get her if I want her , however I will say the Turk I got from the mission , this horse is bomb proof it’s not afraid of gators it’s not nervous in gun fights , I think I got a rare one lol
I feel absolutely so dreadful for those horses , you people live in ancient times , and hey I’m ok with the fact if you guys want to play king of the castle and act like your still in the Viking days hahah , but those horses I feel absolutely sad inside and out for those poor animals , those horses act out a lot and I’ve seen nothing but videos of these horses acting up and it’s largely due to your stupid belief systems of acting like your still in the Viking days those. Horses more then likely don’t see a pasture or get to run and just be a horse , there bored you can see it when there standing there no wonder they act up , and it’s hard on there legs to stand for long periods of time with riders , neglect doesn’t always come in a form of not feeding or abusing an animal , what there doing to those horses for hours is abuse … period, England is not that great of a country , me I can’t stand that country …… the people and the country is just fake ! And the abuse to those horses is just unbelievable , those horses need to burn off what we call heat , because they don’t get to be horses there itching to run and be a normal horse and unfortunately I think England still living in the Viking days is just ridiculous …. Those poor horses …
Treated with care and respect, horses form bonds with humans and have no issue with them at all. It’s bold enough to say that they would rather be with their human. These in game stuff has no correlation to irl.
How many times did the turkoman buck me off?
did you try to calm it at all though during these encounters? every horse will buck you off really quickly if you're not pressing the calm button

@@kevinlawin2810 I know but I never can get it during that mission. Never works for me lol
@@mdeyna7173 never was able to get the Turkoman lol my game seems to be patched lmao
@@kevinlawin2810 yes u can. Check youtube for other method. Its a random encounter.
I have already done this mission and I’d did not work for me. Is it possible do it again? I have no save file before the mission. Thank you ✌🏻
No you can't
Waiting patiently
This horse will die in chapter 6 and Arthur will pay tribute to him and not long after Arthur will die. Does it respawn for John ??
No, but you can buy the horse at blackwater in epilogue
Best looking horse as well. Do you aim up when you try hipfire headshot? Im on aim lock normal so it points to the chest after tapping R2.
Yep👍
Good to know. Thx Rockworth!
Can i get two horses this way? Turkoman and the male white arabian?
What's your thoughts on the bravest. So far for me it's the Hungarian you can steal from the Polish guy.
👉 th-cam.com/video/rbA8Ot_ebdk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=g1jJm4wqsKAff3cb
I bought it from stable and it is a brave horse 🐎
Great Job on the video well done.😂😂😂
Thank you for watching, partner.
Personal opinion....which horse is your ultimate favorite ?
It changes honestly lol. I usually rotate between like 3 horses, but as of now, I gotta go with the perlino andalusian. Players typically prefer a faster horse, but you can watch my video here: th-cam.com/video/tszkEGGte7E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rm6RUcmpn48VfGLR and change that 3 speed into a 6 speed. It has stellar health, plus its bravery is respectable.
Hey rockworth my man can you make a video about how to make the rattle snake vaquero saddle
Already ahead of you partner:

@RockworthRDR2 dang that reply was fast man keep up the amazing content
Can you please make a video on where to find the woman for the horse race? I'm in chapter 3 and I can't find her 😅

@@RockworthRDR2 Thank you very much
Anyone can get a turk or a black arabian in chapter 2, in Saint Denis, not the gold turk. I discovered by mistake, but I'm sure someone made a video for that.
I get the Black Arabian for a random couple at the night, but how do you obtain the Turkoman?
@@cerrede98 There is a spot in Saint Denis where 2 horses spawn. Search on youtube for the process. Or wait until chapter 3 and do the old way.
@@claudiusmaximus9667 they have patched the 2 random horses spawn.
If you like more than 1 of them, can you take more than 1 of them ??? They realllllyyyyy need to change the Dead Eye button, I screw it up 9x out of 10 🤣🤣🤣
I am just the collector 4 different arabian horse
What if i finished the mission?😂
theres another way to get the turkoman? im already on the chapter 4
I did this on chapter 2. Go to Saint Denis, on the evening and a random event will spawn near center of the city, a black guy will try to rob a white couple. Doesn't matter if you stop or not the robbery, the couple will have a black arabian or a turk. Get it and be happy.
😊
@@claudiusmaximus9667 thanks man. Mine was a black Arabian
Ya the Turky ain’t good for hunting.
Facts partner lol
You do know this is a game, right??
Professional yapper
Treated with care and respect, horses form bonds with humans and have no issue with them at all. It’s bold enough to say that they would rather be with their human. These in game stuff has no correlation to irl.
I got mine doing the horse wrangler method. I appreciate you sir 🫡
