Remember guys taking thr academic test if you intend to study at a undergraduate or postgraduate level in a foreign English speaking country, and also if you're studying at university in your home country and need to certificate your English level. For those who just want to work abroad or improve your career opportunities and job prospects in your own country, however, perhaps it should be more advisable to sit the General training test. Neither test is easier than the other, they just simply fulfill different needs. If you aren't going to go to university, interpreting a graphic or pie chart like wrting part 1 features is unnecessary and useless, to some.extent, since college studies (and even more so a postgraduate and masters courses and phD) demand a far more specific and advanced language, eminently focused on the studies you aspire to.
hi . i really like your videos . thanks for your best explanation but in this case i want to say that highlighting the whole text it is a little bit time consuming. would you please to suggest a better way instead of this?
Check out the official page - takeielts.britishcouncil.org/take-ielts/prepare/free-ielts-english-practice-tests/ielts-on-computer/about/highlighting-text#:~:text=How%20to%20add%20a%20highlight,and%20select%20'clear%20all'.
I have a question about the instructions of the questions. If they say for exemple. no more than 2 words. but the answer is something like {cauliflower rosettes}, it counts as 2 words or 3 words? I am getting some questions wrong because I don't know if the word I believe to be the answer would actually not be correct because of its word count. For example I just got one question wrong because I didn't know if the word {cauliflower rosettes} count as two or three words. Someone could tell me how their criterium for count as 1 word or 2 , 3 word?
That's great that you found it easy. It's an Academic IELTS test. Here are some that are more difficult: englishprotips.com/courses/ielts-practice-tests/
Yes, you can highlight sections of the test. To do this, left click and drag your cursor over the section of text or question you wish to highlight. Then, right-click, and select the 'Highlight' option.
My exam is tomorrow could someone please help me i get 8/8.5 using Cambridge books but 6.5/7 using the ielts gel link provided by the British council which score should i trust?
I have the same concern. I got the official Cambridge 16 book and did all the reading tests and got 8's in a row but then when I do the online tests, I get a 6.5. How did you do on the actual exam?
