I have the same card but without the backplate, looks neater with the backplate though but surprisingly this card doesn't have any VRAM thermal pads
Should have thermal pad covering all the MOS. Suggest you buy some and put it on STRONGLY
Just now found this video this will help alot because I'm painting mine
Thanks for this tutorial. I thought i'll never find a tutorial for my card :)
Thanks I just snapped one fan blade when I put my finger on it when running by accident 😭it runs very loud so turnt fan down to 50 percent and ordered a replacement untill it arrives I've had them off the oc looks so simple
Playing 7 Days to Die 1.0 and my Powercolor RX 580 8GB is revving its fans at full blast constantly. I will try this and hopefully see if thermal paste is the root cause.
hi bang, any idea how to find the replacement fan ? the stock is kind loud af, like a jet plane, its great fan but the noise is dang loud maybe u know the replacement part number for the fan
Hello! Could you please tell me the thickness of the thermal pads for this video card?
Much appreciated.
Hey, what is the stuff in the "eye droplet" you cleaned the die with after whiping it with IPA?
Nice Video - Thanks for showing the diassably part.
Some cleaning solution I got together for cleaning thermal paste. Can use alcohol it work the same.
alfred bro pls help how many percent alcohol are you using to wipe the pcb board????? i wipe mine with alcohol and my gpu is not turning on
Rubbing alcohol probably around 70-80% only. Make sure you install back all connection tight. So far I have done few no issues
Him suggesting 70-80% max is flat out bad advice. Firat of all, thwy only make it as low as 70, and the lower alcohol %, the more water it contains. Its still such a small amount that it ahouldnt damage anything as long as you let it dry, but any application where alcohol is used for cleaning, you want the highest alcohol % possible. You specifically want 93% isopropyl.
Is this the same setup with rx570 powercolor reddragon?
Probably not same because different model. But to dismantle is roughly the same idea, fan shroud, fan, heatsink, PCB, backplate, these are the component need to be take apart.
Thank you Bro
Which kind of screwdriver i need to remove backplate of my gpu? I have 570 red dragon, and it looks like i need special screwdriver to remove backplate?
Usually is a Philip (+) screw driver. Unless is special then need to identify it, snap a pic and search by image on Google or use Google lens directly. I am not sure of 570 hvnt seen one before.
do you know the thermal pad thickness of the vrm? maybe 2mm or 2.5mm or something else?
thanks bro...
how thick is the thermal pad here?
I didn't replace the thermal pad. It look quite thick so to be safe try use 1.5mm or 2mm thickness.
@@allensevilla6170 hhave you tried to replace/put a thermal pad? Is it 2? Or 1.5 ? Planing to change mine too
useless unless you need a brand new looking card to sell . . .
thank you very much dude, my gpu just dropped from 50° to 39° idle and 90° to 75-76° full load.
Good to know. You are welcome
Dang, ive had my powercolor rx 580 since release, never replaced the paste, and it runs 37-39 idle and 65-70 at the absolute max under load. Ive been considering re pasting cause i felt like i could get it cooler, but now i wonder.
