    To you people criticizing Alanis for walking all over the stage, she's always done that, check her early videos. Also, about her "weight gain"? She's had children plus as you gracefully age as she has done ( not that Alanis is super old) there's going to be added pounds. I personally think she looks great compared to her earlier years! If I get back lash from this...so be it, this is MY opinion

    • @Simplenotion
      @Simplenotion ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@HysteriaVideos yeah NO. That is not the reason why you do that. That is called microphone technique. It evens out the loudness - the higher and beltier the notes are the farther away the mic has to be. It depends a little bit on what kind of mic you're using but usually you really have to do it. Otherwise the sound engineer would have to adjust the levels all the time. I'm a prof singer and vocal coach.

    • @Simplenotion
      @Simplenotion ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johngilbanni5891 well I slightly have to disagree on "the gift". It is a question of technique AND intention. Very good singers can adjust their volume according to what they want to convey (which she sure can). So singing quieter doesn't necessarily mean that a person can't belt. Also it can all be learned. By everyone that is anatomically able.

Theres so much attitude dripping off of that it isnt funny! Thatcwas the first time I heard her and the drummer then, who was Taylor Hawkins. That may have been the first single from that album, but I think thats my fav from her. She was knitty and gritty and real and honest as with all her songs and that was just something very much needed in that landscape then. Much love and respect to Alanis and long live Taylor.
