Dave brought out the best in Flea and Chad. Those two are always great, but One Hot Minute most definitely has Flea and Chad's best performances. Listen to Flea's bass on Aeroplane and Stretch and Chad's drumming on Warped and Let's Make Evil, pretty amazing stuff. It's too bad that things didn't work out with Navarro because OHM is my favorite album and the years with Dave was when they were at their best musically in my opinion.

The band felt that while Dave deserved to be part of the hall of fame, he deserved to be there as a part of Jane's Addiction. Personally I think he should be inducted for both.
completely agree... I said this in another RHCP video. I'm not hating on Josh or anything, but as dysfunctional the relationship with Navarro was, he played guitar on One Hot Minute way better than Josh did on I'm With You.

One Red Hot Moment has to be one of the most misunderstood and under appreciated albums. Navarro pushed Flea and Smith into new territory.

Imo, its one of the most under rated rock album. It sounds so complete. I believe RHCP got Dave at his peak.

Valar Morghulis josh has a much more subtle style on the getaway I think he improved a lot
John is also not Dave...there's a reason Jane's Addiction is one of John's biggest influences

I agree. The egineering/sound production was the best in my opinion too. OHM had rich solid sound.
