I think Boeing will never build 2 decks Aircraft or any aircraft that is larger than current 747-8 because airlines now avoid to operate big planes due to changing business model from Hub and Spoke to point to point flights.
@@carlosandleon then why don't airlines buy B777x? airports need special terminals to board double deckers that's why A380 cannot fly to many destinations.
Also if they really need something with high capacity wouldn’t they rather have a longer widebody, aka the 777X, than a double decker (even if its also twin engine) due to a slimmer frontal cross section? I.e length > girth in terms of air resistance.
A double decker bus in the mid body segment is the Goldilocks zone as these are where you have the high density routes. I’ve read that airlines are looking for a wide body aircraft tailored for this, but the only viable options are narrow bodies or a substitute of an A330 or B787-8

That said, it _might_ be doable with some truly monster engines with fans large enough to require a high wing. I think that it will be 787X, 797 as the 737max replacement and new airbus narrow body competitior, another narrow body to complement the 797, probably an a220 competitor.
Whatever it is, the A380 has shown that it needs to be designed such that it can easily be converted to cargo. That was one of the genius aspects of the 747, the flight deck is above the main fuselage, leaving the main fuselage completely empty for freight service. I wonder about a wide body plane big enough for two decks with a circular cross section, like the 777 but even bigger. Like maybe 15 wide seating. Or even better, Airbus' flying wing concept.
Boeing could have design an aircraft with all composite larger fuselage, but using as many 737 components as possible and common flight deck with 737. This allows 737 owners to slowly transition to the new model. Remember so many airlines had invested on 737-NG and 737-MAX, so a new model needs to be timed properly. I personally would like to see planes with more 2-seat seating options where my wife and I can sit alone. A 12hr flight sitting next to a burping snoring slob isn’t fun. Our last flight on an Airbus A380 had this seating but it cost a lot of extra money.
Aisle and window seats are far better than middle seats for most passengers. A wider-body jet with 2-3-2 or 2-4-2 seating is going to offer better passenger comfort and faster boarding than the classic 3-3 seating on the 737.
@@PaulSchaffert I agree, but it seems difficult to find airlines with 2-3-3 seating for long haul. Most seating was 3-4-3 or 3-5-3 on flights from LAX to Europe. Short haul flights seem to offer 2-3-2.
My last longhaul flight was on the top-deck of an A380 and we were 2-seats wide in economy, it was very nice. The only issue I had was that a couple of passengers decided that the extra legroom I'd paid for was an ideal spot to do their exercises. Hardly a fault of Airbus but it was annoying getting woken up by some old lady doing lunges and knocking into my feet. 😂
The 797 should be a 737 successor, yes, but I think it should be a small wide-body. With isles of 2-3-2 for Main Cabin, and the standard 2-2 Business/First and/or 1-1 First Class, it’s smaller fuselage length compared to number of seats available would make it stand out against the crowd of A-320s and 737’s. One immediate benefit of making this massive aircraft is that Boeing can raise the landing gear pretty high on it, allowing for the plane to feature engines with larger bypass ratios without having to make wacky design changes, *737 MAXES!*
I already got an idea of an A340X and A380 BELUGA! Now how about Boeing? A 797 and Double 787? Its mine and your ideas. Airbus-my idea. Boeing-their idea.
The Ecoliner would be great for the Asian market since it’s usually high capacity and mid range, if Boeing made the Ecoliner it could be a huge success, but even if they started today I’m sure the aircraft wouldn’t go into commercial service until 2035-2040
@@lanny4 A supersonic plane will never be as fuel efficient as a properly designed subsonic plane of the same era. The question is whether or not people are willing to pay more for the couple of hours on the ground, and I think the Concorde proved that. Especially considering the maintenance costs.
Need to solve the sonic boom issue before this can be looked at. Private jets flying the Pacific or Atlantic maybe. Not a versatile route structure though
I wonder what will happen with naming after 797 and they want a new plane which isn't an upgrade of the last. For airbus it's pretty straight forward ,probably A200 or something
A200 is already the A220 family, so they can't do that. Airbus will have to go A400. The A300 was named after how many passengers it could carry, although the final design only carried 250, so it should have been the A250. Oh what a mess
A single deck, longer and wider planes with only two powerful (economical-environment friendly engines) are the future for the "jumbo" option. They required no new (double deck) facilities from the airports, their very long wing, BUT folding (like 777), would cheeply let them cope. That way, the company won't need to expensively design a whole new plane or burden the airports, and move on. A wider, longer 777 would do the trick nicely
I think Boeing believes in point-to-point market. Airbus believed in the hub-and-spoke market which they tried with the 380. It didn’t work out, and the 380s are already being retired.
I get the impression that boeing really missed the boat by not really pushing the 797, they are getting trounced by the 321 xlr. The fact of the matter is airbus has a ton of orders for it meaning that the middle market plane needs to be exploited.
Personally i would love Boeing to buy out the Boom Overture, Rebrand it as the 2717 as start using it for business oriented spoke to spoke journeys like Washington to London City, Atlanta to Dubai and Los Angeles to Shenzhen. Then use the technology and experience to build the 2727 as a proper Supersonic airliner. I want me and my future kids to go from Baltimore to Orlando in half an hour.

this is Boeing so very important for future best time more technologies grand capasity we knows everyone has to see and perfect right in this world
The 797 should be a 737 successor, yes, but I think it should be a small wide-body.
Nice
I already got an idea of an A340X and A380 BELUGA! Now how about Boeing? A 797 and Double 787? Its mine and your ideas. Airbus-my idea. Boeing-their idea.
I still would like to see Boeing do its own SST type aircraft, possibly a Boeing/Airbus collaboration
...and, for even more efficiency we now have the giganormous megafan single engine version.
In the middle and people sit in the wings?
The Ecoliner would be great for the Asian market since it’s usually high capacity and mid range, if Boeing made the Ecoliner it could be a huge success, but even if they started today I’m sure the aircraft wouldn’t go into commercial service until 2035-2040
Anyone else thinks Boeing or airbus will just buy shares out of some supersonic firm so they don't have to develop a supersonic plane themselves?
As soon as one gets built and its proven to work, the flood gates will open
its still gonna cost a lot in fuel tho and airlines dont like high fuel costs
@@matthijshoogeland7893 depends, as we dont trully know yet if the new breed of supersonic planes will be fuel efficent enough or not.
If only your channel can be truly fair in evaluating Boeing aircrafts, especially both 787 & 737 aircrafts and not be too optimistic.
I wonder what will happen with naming after 797 and they want a new plane which isn't an upgrade of the last. For airbus it's pretty straight forward ,probably A200 or something
I think they will go with 808
A200 is already the A220 family, so they can't do that. Airbus will have to go A400. The A300 was named after how many passengers it could carry, although the final design only carried 250, so it should have been the A250. Oh what a mess
7107
@@FoundAndExplained The A400 already exists, it's a military cargo plane
@@FoundAndExplained They could always go a310,11 etc and do that for all their aircraft of the fut
Boeing should concentrate and get their current aircraft models to fly safely rather than competing with the superior Airbus.
If the price of oil remains high and pandemics increase then all bets are off on how the airline industry will cope.
it would be awesome to see a 7107 one day
Pourquoi ne parlez vous pas des Boeing 707 et 727 ?
just saw the thumbnail of a triple decker a380 and knew instantly it was stupid, but the thumbnail there acually looks belivable
@Found And Explained what is that song at the very beginning of the video? I hear it in a lot of clogs.
Epidemic sound - forward future I believe
I’ll get the proper name when I’m at my desk
@@FoundAndExplained Do you know the actual track?
I think Boeing believes in point-to-point market. Airbus believed in the hub-and-spoke market which they tried with the 380. It didn’t work out, and the 380s are already being retired.
I get the impression that boeing really missed the boat by not really pushing the 797, they are getting trounced by the 321 xlr. The fact of the matter is airbus has a ton of orders for it meaning that the middle market plane needs to be exploited.
thumbnail is an Airbus A380 but the nose is the Boeing 787 Dreamliner
Personally i would love Boeing to buy out the Boom Overture, Rebrand it as the 2717 as start using it for business oriented spoke to spoke journeys like Washington to London City, Atlanta to Dubai and Los Angeles to Shenzhen. Then use the technology and experience to build the 2727 as a proper Supersonic airliner.
I want me and my future kids to go from Baltimore to Orlando in half an hour.
Next future air plane Boeing 👍👍👍
I love the jet. It's an outstanding show on Boeing 797 and D.D. 787 plus Mega 777x-10!
Hey can u explain the boeing2707 the Boeing supersonic competitor for the Concord but it was never built
After the amount of accidents Boeing has had lately. I will NEVER get on one of their aircraft again
Bruh moment
good luck going anywhere then lol
This generation has nothing to talk about except jet liner concepts
Nobody actually builds anything worth turning your head at, Boeing just keeps elongating the 777 and airbus makes the ugly ass a350
