I started to try the 5:30am morning routine in May this year. Among many reasons to get up early, what attracts me most is the couple hours of uninterrupted alone time.
In the mornings when I do get up early, I manage to do some exercise, take enough time to do my skincare routine, finish knitting projects while having coffee, and have breakfasts with multiple dishes cooked by myself, all before 9-10am. To be able to finish my own business before the world gets busy is a pretty good form of self-care.
However, after a while of trying to maintain the 5:30am routine, I still could not give up my night time that I also enjoy very much. But I guess, the advantage of aiming for a 5:30am schedule for me this time is that it makes it no longer difficult for me to get up early at a more reasonable time.
My morning routine now starts at 7:30am with no burden.
