Gee wiz, super cool but who can pay that? Wishing you all the success in the world but would be stoked if you found some sortve way to source the parts so that it may be affordable for buskers!

I haven’t bought one yet. Only just discovered you on a JJ Grey video and don’t have the funding for that at this time. I. Also an engineer with a high appreciation for good design and quality componentry, and that’s what I see here. Nice work.
Question, can a 6 or a 9 pedal be upgraded? How far out is a build, or do you have stock?

I appreciate that alot of design and thought has gone into these kits. But it seems to me that the sort of soloist who would need it would probably not have 3 plus grand to drop on one.

Really looking forward to getting one Pete. I’ve tried to make sense of the snare drag and these videos further confuse me with demonstrations. When you show it here it releases and hits singularly. Other videos it has a “bounce.” I would “love” to be able to have it do a singular hit so I can have it release and hit the snare after I’ve hit with the primary snare pedal. Is it adjustable to get more bounce or something?
This will be huge for my performances can’t wait man.

    • @footdrums

Yes, the bounce in controlled by sliding it forward or back in the stick grip(s). It shifts the weight and momentum after effect sound form staccato single hit ("bury the beater") than balanced weight with dribble bounces. It also really depends on how your foot interacts with the pedal as in touch and speed.... We will make a more in-depth video and link it in the Description above.

Hey Big L! Sorry for not seeing your comment sooner. The FootDrum (6 or 9 Pedal) can be upgraded after the fact. Folks often get the 6-Pedal to start and then upgrade later. Our waiting list tends to be 1-3 months (it ebbs and flows), but we always try to meet deadlines when possible (birthdays, gigs/tours, holidays, etc). Give us a shout if we can answer any other questions. www.footdrums.com/

@@footdrums cool! I’m sitting behind a 18” gretsch kick, and some 15” zildjian new beat hi hats, with a mic and a guitar, and the rest of the kit is in my way, and not accessible if I’m playing guitar.
I don’t know that I would need more than a 6 pedal, I’ve got a lot going on with my guitar, but I do tend to disappear down rabbit holes with some adhd hyper focus. Nice to know it’s got room to grow if it’s a working media for me

@@bigl6322 Whoa! Yeah, the FootDrum will definitely take up less space than that big bass drum!
