watching this reminded me just how impactful ultimate was for me. I got ultimate 1 month after it released for my birthday from my big sister (who sadly passed months later) i was so excited cause i also finally got a switch at the same time from my parents, I only owned a wii at the time so i never got to experience smash 4 so getting ultimate the entirety of smash 4 roster was also all new to me. Ultimate not only got me through all the world problems but also just alot of personal problems at home, I was living with my grandparents so after my birthday finished up me and my cousin set up the switch and prepared to play smash ultimate for the first time after playing brawl for so many years. I remember looking up the fastest method of unlocking characters so we could get our mains snake and luigi and remember spending almost an hour closing out the game, reopening it, sding in a match, and getting the next unlock instantly since u could do that prepatch to unlock everyone. I dont know when but at some point i fell out of smash bros only coming back to play a few games with new dlc characters as of rn i have a total of 2000 hours alot of those hours come from 2019 and halfway through 2020. Although not my favorite game of all time Ultimate has a very special place in my heart, It was givin to me by someone close to my heart, it brought me and my family closer together, it calmed me down when stressed or depressed, and it in general gave me a permanent hype factor thinking of characters i want in the game and creating my own move lists. If you've read this far, Thank you. It's like saying Smash 64 and Melee aren't crossovers because they're all Nintendo IP's. Having them exist in the same universe doesn't make it any less of a cross over.

Link and Mario have never interacted in any setting in any of their games. You're basically saying that I thought that a crossover like Predator being in Mortal Kombat wasn't a crossover because they're owned by the same company. Oh and by the way, Endgame was ass. Introducing time travel into an already complex plot is the easiest way to ruin it. If Endgame was the end of the MCU then I'd be alright with it because it did feel pretty good as a conclusion, but the fact that they're continuing the MCU with the OG 4 Avengers being unrecognizable leaves a bad taste in my mouth and just feels like a cash grab to me. I can't see any way that they can make Marvel movies as interesting as Infinity War or Endgame which means that it can only go down from here
it's not dying yet, but the next game will be 1 of 2 things: 1: a smash game nowhere near as impactful as this and maybe with (more than) a few cut characters 2: a port of ultimate with little to no additions apart from maybe 1 extra character. if we're really lucky (and i mean this is a 0.01% chance), 2 i want to say this wont be the case, but sakurai is a passionate man who had a great vision, whoever the next director is most likely won't be as passionate for this series as this man was

It's honestly very depressing that Ultimate's Lifelight has finally gone out. Like remember when it was first announced and you get really excited and you wanted it badly? I remember that experience. I remember being so hyped by gameplay of World of Light being shown off and all the little things that you seen, but you had to wait to play. Gosh, then I remember waiting outside for the midnight release that Gamestop was doing, the first one I went to, it was really cold, but gosh, it was so worth it. Honestly, I still can't believe it's been 2 years since this game was released and it's something you wished would last forever. But Sakurai needs a vacation and I really hope he gets a long one!
Haha idk bout all that but I remember seeing the switch ads for the first time. My mom was yelling me to come see she was excited. I remember thinking I'm never getting ahold of one. Fast foward a few years ish not sure the span I got one and smash. Though I did not get to see smash anouncments and all that before release. And I got to see some of the dlc anouncments still witch was so cool!
I'll never forget when Ultimate came out. I remember some of my friends told me that Banjo was coming to the game, and I thought it was real, but he didn't, but when he did, I actually cried. I grew up with both Smash and Banjo, so that was a dream come true. This series will go on to be the biggest video game crossover ever, and Sora, just, I don't even know much I was crying about that one. This series, is just, beautiful. I will never forget what Masahiro Sakurai and HAL. Laboratory have done. While this series is over, it will never be forgotten. Thank you Sakurai, for everything you have done, what you have graced America, Japan, Europe, and many other countries. We will never forget the impact you had, all those reveals, all the hype, all the fun, everything, you and your series will never be forgotten. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. If Nintendo never approved some random fighting game with their mascots, this would never have happend, and while Nintendo may not be the best company, it's nice to know that they approved what would become this. I still remember that night. I got it that night and made the decision I wasn't going to bed until I beat WoL. I got to the world of dark, my mom had already left for work and the sun had long since risen when I tapped out. I think I had end of semester tests and projects due the next week, but that's what I pulled an all nighter for. This series has so many good memories. I remember playing the heck out of the demo on my 3DS until I could beat the level 9 CPU. I remember sitting there spamming what I'm pretty sure was pit's side special back in brawl because none of us knew what we were doing and a reflector with a hit box was broken. I remember countless days when I would call my brother and we'd sit there for literal hours just playing online with each other. I remember spending pretty much every day in college sitting around a TV someone would bring in just playing smash. This series got me into several other games that have become favorites. This series fueled my creativity as a kid, walking around with my buddy imagining us in smash long before miis were a thing. This series made use of several 3DS warrantees and has some of my favorite memories from growing up. Thank you again Sakurai. For creating a masterpiece.
I cannot believe how well the beginning works. "I'm a shooting star" Star glint as Fox flies in "Passing by like Lady (idk lol)" literally Isabelle just passing by. "There's no stopping me" as Pit presses on pass Ridley at high speeds "200 Degrees" as Charizard flies by "Traveling at the speed of light" As Captain Falcon careens towards the blast zone "Super sonic man out of you" Sonic is literally right there. It's like it was planned.

I remember that muted trailer that everyone synced to this. I remember seeing Jokers reveal. I will remember Sora bringing one last bit of light to smash. This is definitely the peak of the Smash series, and I'm glad it turned out this way.
That was SOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! I mean OMG...I almost cried my heart out, because I know that this is the end of my all-time favorite childhood game: Super Smash Bros. I remember when I was younger, like ten or nine, I played the crap out of Super Smash Bros. 64, which was my first N64 game and I didn't even touch my other N64 games {Diddy Kong Racing, Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64 and Yoshi's Story} because I was so fascinated by the colors, stages and characters that Smash Bros. had. I've seen each and every commercial and I remember all of them by heart. Growing up with this legendary series, from beginning to end, was a VERY WILD and LOOOOOONG rollercoaster ride for me. I've met all kinds of fascinating, wonderful and colorful characters and it's all thanks to Sakurai and his team at Nintendo for making that happen. Smash Bros. has taught me a lot about myself that I didn't even know about and I'm happy it did. Plus thanks to Sakurai and Nintendo, they introduced me to legendary villain, Sephiroth and the FF series back in December 2020 and now I'm a huge fan of the franchise as well as the one-winged fallen angel. It was thanks to them that I finally found my true forever main in Sephiroth, ditching Persona 5's Joker, Dark Pit, Falco and Blue Yoshi for good. And the coolest part is that Sora was revealed on October 5th right after my birthday on October 4th, so I get two presents in one: Sephiroth in December 2020 as a Christmas present and now Sora from KH in October 2021 as a birthday present. When I discovered that Sakurai picked October 5th for Sora's reveal, I swear I was in shock and hyperventilating, because October 5th was right after October 4th.
Seeing Snake, the very first 3rd party character, and Sora (for all intents and purposes the very last one) at the same time while seeing “Everyone Is Here”… Dude, that got me…
It's hit me hard too snake was like a dream to me when he was announced and Sora being the final character was Soo perfect. Couldn't have done much better imo anyway.

@@ElFreakinCid I was specifically talking about the "More Fighters" version of the trailer and not the first reveal trailer we got of Smash. The "More Fighters" version went viral due to not having any music so people would add their own tracks and Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" fit ever so perfectly with the visuals. That's what I was referring to.
3:24 - I don't even play Dragon Quest, but dang this was my favorite part. PERFECTLY timed it and you picked you best scene for it. Seriously though, Super smash bros Ultimate updates may be over, but it sure was dand good while it lasted. There’s no way you can top this unless you bring everyone back in a port AND THEN add a few extra fighters and bonus content. But that’s not likely to happen and it was already so hard for Sakurai and the devs to bring everyone back. This is the biggest Smash game and I doubt they’ll make another one.

Wow. Well done man. Smash Ultimate has made lots of memories with me and the boys. We actually got up at 6am and took a train to the Smash Bros reveal at Nintendo NY. Right as we got to the door (First 3 people was my friend, me, and my other friend) person told us nobody else can come in or else the fire marshal would shut em down or something. We were very bummed but we stuck around and watched the steam on our phones. Not even kidding, the vibe that was there, a whole bunch of people who couldn't get in were having our own little smash ultimate party outside the building. Hearing the OMG YES SNAKE!!!! EVERYONE'S HERE!!!! was so unmatched. Anybody in the vicinity of the mob was automatically hyped. When it came out, we all hung out in my boy's garage so we can get hyped without waking up other people in the house. We had a pellet stove in there because it was freezing but we didn't care. So many memories. This video was really well done. You deserve all these likes and more. Sending good vibes brother.

Y'know, I think Smash is the greatest game in all history, not in figthing series, but games in general, think about, it's a game where you can play as Minecraft Steve, Kirby or Sonic, on an Animal Crossing Village or Pokemon Stadium, while Megalovania is on the background, like, wow, Sakurai has done so much for us, like, he brought us a GODDAMN Disney character, this is just magical. I mean I get your point and if you meant the greatest achieving game in history then that’s my bad but if you truly said it’s the “greatest game in history” then I unfortunately have to heavily disagree with you for two reasons 1 this game has accomplished a lot yes but a game lacks more than just amazing crossovers and cool features great games usually have an amazing story and insane detail, smash is a very fun party game but besides some cool side games and online it’s not one that should be compared to the type of games I previously mentioned. And secondly nothing can really ever be the greatest game in history the same thing applies with sports you can’t say “baseball is the greatest sport ever created” you can only have your preference and opinion. This video truly makes me thankful for Sakuri and the entirety of the smash community. This is more than a franchise to me, more than a fighting game. It's a celebration of gaming in general. Smash bros has been a constant in my life for the past 6 years (yes it isn't alot but my first console I owned was the Wii U). Ever since that Christmas, I've been a non-stop smash bros fan. One of my favourite memories was with my mate, we were late for the bus from school but we were still watching the reveal trailer, and seeing Steve just made my entire week. Another memory is me and my sister, sitting on the sofa, watching E3 2019 and anxiously awaiting the Smash reveal at the end. When it was Banjo, I screamed of joy and she did too (even if she didn't know who he was. I think she wanted to share the excitement with me). All I can say is, thankyou Sakuri, for giving us one of the greatest games in history.

If you told me back in 2017 when the switch came out that every character from every game would return, Steve, Sepiroth and literally Sora would *all* feature in the same smash game, I would’ve laughed so hard Smash ultimate is such an amazing game, and the fact that it happened is one of, if not the greatest showcase of collaboration in the whole of gaming. I remember playing the Original N64 game, how much fun I had playing it, Fighting Master hand for the first time. It was special. And look how far we've Come? So Many wonderful fighters that were demanded for YEARS finally got there time to shine, and characters that were removed over the years were brought back. From Sonic and Snake being added in Brawl, to Ridley up to Sora in ultimate. It's been quite a ride!
I finally managed to get a Switch and my hands on Smash around a week before Sora was added. Thanks to all the guides and tips I looked up for playing the game, this popped up in my recommended right away, and it looked interesting. I added it to my Watch Later, and nearly every day I'd scrool past it and think "It's about time I got 'round to that." I finally watched it. I was honestly expecting a song parody, but this is even better!
The very first trailer for Ultimate dropped while I was in 8th grade. The final direct went live at the beginning of my senior year of high school. Now I’m graduating next month. Nintendo has been a huge part of my life, and Smash bros is no exception. Ultimate alone helped me get into other video games that I now hold dear to my heart. Although I’ve never been interested in Kingdom Hearts, I couldn’t help but cheer and squeal out loud during the direct because I was so happy for all of the KH fans. I remember my Dad got me and my siblings this game on Christmas Eve 2018, and my brother and I spent winter break getting all of the characters. I spent summer 2019 playing the heck out of Ultimate while watching analysis vids, skits, meme compilations and comic dubs of it. I’ll never forget when I beat World of Light three days after my quarantine started in March 2020. To think that I spent my entire high school career following this game’s journey blows my mind. Playing Smash Ultimate and being in the fandom is definitely a highlight of the past four years for me. You’re done Sakurai. This game went out with a bang bigger then the one when the earth was created. Thank you for giving us what’s probably my favorite Nintendo game of all time.
I love this game. Love that Sora is coming to Smash. Love seeing the amazing amount of work that Sakurai and his team have put into this game. Ok just amazing that's it just amazing the audio syncing is SO GOOD like Kirby's feet hitting the ground at the time the hold note ends is such good detail and in general all of the scenes that are related to the song and synced with it I love music especially when paired with video (I'm pretty sure almost everyone does) and seeing this much attention to detail is just so nice I love this and even tho I left the smash community like a year ago I saw my brother watching this and this still gives me feels amazing work With feels I mean like I'm happy about like how far smash has come and all the hype announcements and over what now? 80 characters
I grew up around the time when people were making AMVs of Brawl and the subspace emissary. Watching this gave me so much nostalgia and reminded me just how much smash really meant to me and how much of my childhood it compiled. Thank you
This video made me cry real tears. I used to play Smash 4 with my friends all the time. The 6 of us formed a group when we were 13/14 and we stuck together through the last 2.5 years of high school. I was in the middle of sixth form when Ultimate came out and we were all so excited, I vividly remember opening my copy of ultimate and my switch on Christmas day that year and losing my actual shit like a 12 year old (I was 17). Me and that same friend group would still meet up frequently and play smash together every, single, time. It was our thing, it had been since the smash 4 days. Since the release of the game, so much has happened. I've grown so much as a person, I've been in an impossibly dark place, I met somebody incredibly special, good people have passed away. Due to personal reasons I had to cut most of that friend group off and I still dream of them sometimes. Watching this video reminded me of the incredible journey that Ultimate was, and just how far I've come since it's release. Thank you Sakurai for everything you gave us
From reveal to release to all DLC characters announced and released this game has been a wild ride. I remember watching everything about the game and having ‘life light’ stuck in my head for months. The day I came home from school and got the game is something I remember fondly and the game didn’t disappoint. Man during the direct Sakurai said that you can go from middle to high school in that time and I did. It was announced when I was in 8th grade and now I’m a senior. Well done, Miss. Seemingly invincible cuts and edits through all those match cuts and zoom ins. Also I really like what you did with the sound. Having some of the soundeffects still hearable creates an interesting immersion and the effects you put on the music itself were really cool (most notably at the beginning). On top of that it's cool how all the actions explodes when the song does also. And 01:50 really made me laugh :D

Thank you so much for sharing this - I am so glad my video could even just remind people of their experience with the game and everything surrounding it. Smash as a series has also affected me extremely, ever since I was a little girl. And so many others, as well. Infinity War was never a crossover because all of the characters in it canonically exist in the same universe. I always found it mildly annoying whenever someone would call it a crossover when it's really just a merging of many different plots.

It's a crossover by definition, and while yes Smash Ultimate has done something unprecedented in gaming history, don't devalue that Marvel studios did something unprecedented for cinema. It's like saying Smash 64 and Melee aren't crossovers because they're all Nintendo IP's. Having them exist in the same universe doesn't make it any less of a cross over.

Oh and by the way, Endgame was ass. Introducing time travel into an already complex plot is the easiest way to ruin it. If Endgame was the end of the MCU then I'd be alright with it because it did feel pretty good as a conclusion, but the fact that they're continuing the MCU with the OG 4 Avengers being unrecognizable leaves a bad taste in my mouth and just feels like a cash grab to me. I can't see any way that they can make Marvel movies as interesting as Infinity War or Endgame which means that it can only go down from here

It's honestly very depressing that Ultimate's Lifelight has finally gone out. Like remember when it was first announced and you get really excited and you wanted it badly? I remember that experience.
I remember being so hyped by gameplay of World of Light being shown off and all the little things that you seen, but you had to wait to play.
Gosh, then I remember waiting outside for the midnight release that Gamestop was doing, the first one I went to, it was really cold, but gosh, it was so worth it.
Honestly, I still can't believe it's been 2 years since this game was released and it's something you wished would last forever. But Sakurai needs a vacation and I really hope he gets a long one!

I'll never forget when Ultimate came out. I remember some of my friends told me that Banjo was coming to the game, and I thought it was real, but he didn't, but when he did, I actually cried. I grew up with both Smash and Banjo, so that was a dream come true. This series will go on to be the biggest video game crossover ever, and Sora, just, I don't even know much I was crying about that one. This series, is just, beautiful. I will never forget what Masahiro Sakurai and HAL. Laboratory have done. While this series is over, it will never be forgotten. Thank you Sakurai, for everything you have done, what you have graced America, Japan, Europe, and many other countries. We will never forget the impact you had, all those reveals, all the hype, all the fun, everything, you and your series will never be forgotten. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. If Nintendo never approved some random fighting game with their mascots, this would never have happend, and while Nintendo may not be the best company, it's nice to know that they approved what would become this. Just, thank you. This has been a wonderful series, spanning over 2 decades, this has been amazing. We will never forget you. Thank you.
I still remember that night. I got it that night and made the decision I wasn't going to bed until I beat WoL. I got to the world of dark, my mom had already left for work and the sun had long since risen when I tapped out. I think I had end of semester tests and projects due the next week, but that's what I pulled an all nighter for.
This series has so many good memories. I remember playing the heck out of the demo on my 3DS until I could beat the level 9 CPU. I remember sitting there spamming what I'm pretty sure was pit's side special back in brawl because none of us knew what we were doing and a reflector with a hit box was broken. I remember countless days when I would call my brother and we'd sit there for literal hours just playing online with each other. I remember spending pretty much every day in college sitting around a TV someone would bring in just playing smash.
This series got me into several other games that have become favorites. This series fueled my creativity as a kid, walking around with my buddy imagining us in smash long before miis were a thing. This series made use of several 3DS warrantees and has some of my favorite memories from growing up.
Thank you again Sakurai. For creating a masterpiece.

You just kinda had to be there.
That was SOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! I mean OMG...I almost cried my heart out, because I know that this is the end of my all-time favorite childhood game: Super Smash Bros. I remember when I was younger, like ten or nine, I played the crap out of Super Smash Bros. 64, which was my first N64 game and I didn't even touch my other N64 games {Diddy Kong Racing, Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64 and Yoshi's Story} because I was so fascinated by the colors, stages and characters that Smash Bros. had. I've seen each and every commercial and I remember all of them by heart. Growing up with this legendary series, from beginning to end, was a VERY WILD and LOOOOOONG rollercoaster ride for me. I've met all kinds of fascinating, wonderful and colorful characters and it's all thanks to Sakurai and his team at Nintendo for making that happen. Smash Bros. has taught me a lot about myself that I didn't even know about and I'm happy it did. Plus thanks to Sakurai and Nintendo, they introduced me to legendary villain, Sephiroth and the FF series back in December 2020 and now I'm a huge fan of the franchise as well as the one-winged fallen angel. It was thanks to them that I finally found my true forever main in Sephiroth, ditching Persona 5's Joker, Dark Pit, Falco and Blue Yoshi for good. And the coolest part is that Sora was revealed on October 5th right after my birthday on October 4th, so I get two presents in one: Sephiroth in December 2020 as a Christmas present and now Sora from KH in October 2021 as a birthday present. When I discovered that Sakurai picked October 5th for Sora's reveal, I swear I was in shock and hyperventilating, because October 5th was right after October 4th.

The "More Fighters" version went viral due to not having any music so people would add their own tracks and Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" fit ever so perfectly with the visuals.

There’s no way you can top this unless you bring everyone back in a port AND THEN add a few extra fighters and bonus content. But that’s not likely to happen and it was already so hard for Sakurai and the devs to bring everyone back. This is the biggest Smash game and I doubt they’ll make another one.

Wow. Well done man. Smash Ultimate has made lots of memories with me and the boys. We actually got up at 6am and took a train to the Smash Bros reveal at Nintendo NY. Right as we got to the door (First 3 people was my friend, me, and my other friend) person told us nobody else can come in or else the fire marshal would shut em down or something. We were very bummed but we stuck around and watched the steam on our phones. Not even kidding, the vibe that was there, a whole bunch of people who couldn't get in were having our own little smash ultimate party outside the building. Hearing the OMG YES SNAKE!!!! EVERYONE'S HERE!!!! was so unmatched. Anybody in the vicinity of the mob was automatically hyped. When it came out, we all hung out in my boy's garage so we can get hyped without waking up other people in the house. We had a pellet stove in there because it was freezing but we didn't care. So many memories. This video was really well done. You deserve all these likes and more. Sending good vibes brother.
2021 is the best year we'll probably get out of this, it was a great year, i hope we end it off even better than the start, this world has changed possibly a lot, and our things, our blessings, make us who we are...indeed

Y'know, I think Smash is the greatest game in all history, not in figthing series, but games in general, think about, it's a game where you can play as Minecraft Steve, Kirby or Sonic, on an Animal Crossing Village or Pokemon Stadium, while Megalovania is on the background, like, wow, Sakurai has done so much for us, like, he brought us a GODDAMN Disney character, this is just magical.

This video truly makes me thankful for Sakuri and the entirety of the smash community. This is more than a franchise to me, more than a fighting game. It's a celebration of gaming in general. Smash bros has been a constant in my life for the past 6 years (yes it isn't alot but my first console I owned was the Wii U). Ever since that Christmas, I've been a non-stop smash bros fan.
One of my favourite memories was with my mate, we were late for the bus from school but we were still watching the reveal trailer, and seeing Steve just made my entire week. Another memory is me and my sister, sitting on the sofa, watching E3 2019 and anxiously awaiting the Smash reveal at the end. When it was Banjo, I screamed of joy and she did too (even if she didn't know who he was. I think she wanted to share the excitement with me).
All I can say is, thankyou Sakuri, for giving us one of the greatest games in history.

I remember playing the Original N64 game, how much fun I had playing it, Fighting Master hand for the first time. It was special. And look how far we've Come? So Many wonderful fighters that were demanded for YEARS finally got there time to shine, and characters that were removed over the years were brought back. From Sonic and Snake being added in Brawl, to Ridley up to Sora in ultimate. It's been quite a ride!

I finally managed to get a Switch and my hands on Smash around a week before Sora was added. Thanks to all the guides and tips I looked up for playing the game, this popped up in my recommended right away, and it looked interesting. I added it to my Watch Later, and nearly every day I'd scrool past it and think "It's about time I got 'round to that."
I finally watched it. I was honestly expecting a song parody, but this is even better!
The very first trailer for Ultimate dropped while I was in 8th grade. The final direct went live at the beginning of my senior year of high school. Now I’m graduating next month. Nintendo has been a huge part of my life, and Smash bros is no exception. Ultimate alone helped me get into other video games that I now hold dear to my heart. Although I’ve never been interested in Kingdom Hearts, I couldn’t help but cheer and squeal out loud during the direct because I was so happy for all of the KH fans. I remember my Dad got me and my siblings this game on Christmas Eve 2018, and my brother and I spent winter break getting all of the characters. I spent summer 2019 playing the heck out of Ultimate while watching analysis vids, skits, meme compilations and comic dubs of it. I’ll never forget when I beat World of Light three days after my quarantine started in March 2020. To think that I spent my entire high school career following this game’s journey blows my mind. Playing Smash Ultimate and being in the fandom is definitely a highlight of the past four years for me. You’re done Sakurai. This game went out with a bang bigger then the one when the earth was created. Thank you for giving us what’s probably my favorite Nintendo game of all time.

Looking back and realizing just how big of a roster this game has is mind-blowing, never mind all the other features they put into the game. This tribute is amazing and I absolutely love it. Ok just amazing that's it just amazing the audio syncing is SO GOOD like Kirby's feet hitting the ground at the time the hold note ends is such good detail and in general all of the scenes that are related to the song and synced with it I love music especially when paired with video (I'm pretty sure almost everyone does) and seeing this much attention to detail is just so nice I love this and even tho I left the smash community like a year ago I saw my brother watching this and this still gives me feels amazing work

I grew up around the time when people were making AMVs of Brawl and the subspace emissary. Watching this gave me so much nostalgia and reminded me just how much smash really meant to me and how much of my childhood it compiled. Thank you

This video made me cry real tears. I used to play Smash 4 with my friends all the time. The 6 of us formed a group when we were 13/14 and we stuck together through the last 2.5 years of high school. I was in the middle of sixth form when Ultimate came out and we were all so excited, I vividly remember opening my copy of ultimate and my switch on Christmas day that year and losing my actual shit like a 12 year old (I was 17). Me and that same friend group would still meet up frequently and play smash together every, single, time. It was our thing, it had been since the smash 4 days.
Since the release of the game, so much has happened. I've grown so much as a person, I've been in an impossibly dark place, I met somebody incredibly special, good people have passed away. Due to personal reasons I had to cut most of that friend group off and I still dream of them sometimes. Watching this video reminded me of the incredible journey that Ultimate was, and just how far I've come since it's release. Thank you Sakurai for everything you gave us

The day I came home from school and got the game is something I remember fondly and the game didn’t disappoint. I love this game and like to remember all my online, single player, and in person multiplayer (mostly before or during school). Thank you Sakurai

This game has been such a big part of my childhood. It's what kept me going from seventh grade all the way through my sophomore year. Every day I woke up asking myself if today was gonna be the day the next fighter was revealed.

It's so beautiful. I've hade alot of fun being hype over smash ultimate with everyone. It's rare for a game to continue on giving the hype for 2 years. It feels like it was just yesterday when I first saw the first trailer for ultimate.

I honestly hope that they just continuously port this game instead of creating a new one, because I don't think it can really get much better than this. Ultimate truly deserves the title "Ultimate", and it is everything I have ever wanted a Smash game to be. Thank you for everything you have done for us, Sakurai!

Man during the direct Sakurai said that you can go from middle to high school in that time and I did. It was announced when I was in 8th grade and now I’m a senior. I remember freshmen year I was counting down the days to everyone, I even had some kind of timer saved on my school Chromebook. It was the reason why I got a switch which introduced me to some of my favorite games of all time. I went through high school with this game and now it’ll probably be time for college.

Bro it’s so funny because at 3:13 you can see a little bit of the smash brawl intro and it just brings a tear to my heart how long this franchise has lived, in all the ups and downs.
Man I get choked up every time I watch this. I don't even know why. This is so well put together. Ultimate is really special to me because of when I played it in my life. It's been a very formative few years. I've really come into my own, and ultimate was there the whole time. Whenever I get home and I'm stressed, I start playing. It's a second home. Thank you to BusyNest for making this, thank you to Sakurai, and thank you to ultimate for helping me get through tough shit.

I really love that you chose this song to be the farewell tribute, it brought back memories of getting excited for other games like PVZ GW2. I got to the point of crying while singing the song, looking at this fantastic game, knowing what it has given my life, and remembering all the memories it has given me. This game has given me so many more franchises to explore. I love this game and the community that came with. All of the tributes are a treat to watch and almost always cry to so thank you so much for taking the time to make this. And of course... Thank You SAKURAI!!!

Also I really like what you did with the sound. Having some of the soundeffects still hearable creates an interesting immersion and the effects you put on the music itself were really cool (most notably at the beginning).
On top of that it's cool how all the actions explodes when the song does also.
And 01:50 really made me laugh :D
You know, especially with how heavily the final trailer played off the announcement one, I can’t think of a better sendoff than a tribute to the Don’t Stop Smashing trailer edit. Such a love letter to a game that’s been very much a labor of love itself. And awesome transitions!
