Protactic bags..you can add a 'Karrimor - Large / Zipped - Utility Pouch' to the molle..in front. You could add x2 pouches on this big bag.

it's an amazing bag, the Molle system with the straps is brilliant, it can be difficult to find big and lightweight pouches, if you are on the lookout then do check savotta's 6L and 12L pouches, i got one of their "vertical pouches", they are super versatile and flattens completely out when it's empty :).

Imo they still haven't managed to solve the problem of a photographer who wants to partition the bag and carry other none photography gear for the day or documents to a shoot. Three versions and I've heard so many reviewers complain about it but Lowepro probably thinks it's 15 years ago and they are still the only game in town. Meanwhile competitors and other DTC brands have made leaps and bounds in usability by listening to customer feedback. I was excited when I heard this was coming since I thought.. OK surely they'll make a meaningful update, but alas I went with a Tenba 24L Axis since I can easily carry a spare notebook, light jacket, and snacks in the outer pocket.

I tried the II, the top part was so tough to open and close I had to return it

Mines is fine. Perhaps zip was catching on something or a dab of Vaseline along zip might have helped.

I have the 350 and 450AW II and I'm sad to say the 450AW III looks like a step backwards - Too square for one, missing the MOLLE attachments on the side for drink bottles is another miss.
I do like the revised top opening though, that looks like a good improvement.
It's worth noting that the 450 is IATA carry on approved, minus the waist strap.
