This song/set of lyrics compared to "Through Inferno" feels like it should not be related but of course it is, since it is part of the new album. There are many things that bring up questions of the story behind this album. And this is why I love your guys' content. Gonna ramble on about stuff I noticed in this song/video, so just as a warning for anyone in the comments section that does not care about this stuff. It sounds like the final moments of an airplane pilot, out of context, like a pilot from WWII. I suppose with the first single of someone jumping through a wormhole and seeing time laying itself out, it would not be hard to assume this is looking at a brief moment in time, past, present or future. What caught my attention is the "fall in lines among the ranks of Horus". The Egyptian God of the Sun - also often seen as a representation of the sky - son of Osiris and Isis, seeking vengeance for the death of his father due to Set, the desert, storm, and chaos god. I am curious if Deities will continue to be a motif going on here, with elder gods being referred to in the first song, and, well, this. Also. I can not imagine that this wasn't intentional, but the references to a mouth in this video is curious. "Steel Teeth gnashing the sky", "The path through the maw was the only escape" and then the ending of the video looking like a set of razor sharp teeth closing. On the idea of entities that far surpass humanity, is this from a scene of battling something, not a war between two mortal civilizations, but perhaps a war between humanity and a creature? Steel teeth, of course, most likely referring to a plane's propellers, but... could it also be talking about some sort of creature's teeth, if so, what is this creature? I do not know why, but I just get reminded of Lavos from Chrono Trigger, unrelated to literally anything that is going on in the song or otherwise. Also, what on earth is going on in the background during the breakdown, that chanting, I wanna call it? I know it is gonna relate to something, but I do not know what. That's all i got.
