    I have listened to other reaction TH-cam channels and nothing compares to Polo. He’s authentic, open-minded, soulful, humble, and just adorable. He talks just enough but not too much. There is something reassuring about getting older and seeing a young man being moved by the music that inspired us as kids back in the 70s. Thank you, Polo!

    Fun times at their concerts. I was 15 yrs old when I saw them. Of course, I had all the albums. Then again in New Orleans in1995. Can't get enough of LZ. There is a concert with Robert and Jimmy in 95 Rio dejenero. It's really an awesome concert. Watch it til the end.

    The Rain Song is one of the greatest songs ever written. In my opinion.
    It's amazing that Robert and Jimmy did this live so many years later in their careers. Roberts voice obviously can't hit the notes he once was able to do but still sounds great with a little compensating and Jimmy sounds as good as he ever has. Having the orchestra behind them really makes this a fantastic video.

    I'm still partial to the old MSG version from Song Remains the Same. I consider this song Jimmy's masterpiece. Although they cut him out here, John Paul's orchestral arrangements create beautiful passages that evoke complex emotions appropriate for the mystical lyrics. Some of the chord changes have an almost magical ability to really hit you right in the heart when you listen just right. Even the tuning Page plays it in is out of this world.

      Well said

    • @Blue-qr7qe
      @Blue-qr7qe 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I had wondered whether they went outside of the core group to get the orchestral arrangement. So often, a "rock" band will want strings in a song, or horns, or woodwinds and not have the musical capability to write all the parts.
      Arrangement is art.
      And I should have known. Thank you, John Paul Jones.

    On drinking, as with anything in life, it is always wise to check yourself to watch for negatives, and simply not let it control your actions or subvert your will. Use it as a treat, as an ease, even as a crutch, but never as an answer, and you'll be fine. The simple answer is always: Know thyself. Much love, brother.

    If you get a chance, watch the Rain Song version from the Song Remains the Song concert video from the '73 MSG Shows. There's an accompanying video that's transcendent. JPJ was the accompanying orchestra when LZ played.

    While this is a great variation of the song with the orchestra , go watch the version from their movie "The Song Remains The Same". All of that orchestration is done by one person, the magnificent John Paul Jones. You also get the best drummer in rock history, the mighty John Bonham.

    One of my favorite Zeppelin tunes. This live version gave me such good vibes. "Over the hills and far away" is another one of my favorites. Peace and Love
