Thank you so much for showing the lefthanded technique! Your video is the first I've come across that addresses this.

You're welcome. I have so many lefties coming to my classes that I taught myself to use the left handed knife and personally am surprised that others don't address it

@@KerryDayArts I'm taking ceramics classes as a lefty and have had to teach myself to reverse all instructions given as I'm usually the only lefty in the class. Same thing with calligraphy class and any other class somewhat dependent on handedness. Your video was helpful as I was avoiding the use of the knife tool 😆

Hello Kerry... thank you for posting your excellent tutorials. They are the the clearest explanations I have found, especially this one on the different tools and the cutting techniques.

Thanks for this! I have recently started linocut and I have watched a lot of TH-cam tutorials; yours is easily the clearest explanation of how to use each tool.

Thank you! I never knew what the knife tool was for, but I guess it's because I'm left handed I couldn't figure it out.

Glad you've found it useful. And yes most knifes tend to be for right handers.

Hi, glad you liked it. I'm UK based and bought them from handprinted.co.uk . I've done a little Google search and I can't seem to find them on any USA sites, but have found these which look similar, but can't guarantee they will be the same quality www.amazon.com/Yodhiharu-rank-Carving-tools-Plastic-HP-7/dp/B008PKFKIY/ref=sr_1_31?keywords=Japanese%2BCutting%2BTools%2Bfor%2BWood%2Band%2BLino%2B-%2BSet%2Bof%2B5&qid=1662030296&sr=8-31&th=1

Very helpful, thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Clear and straight forward demonstration of the techniques. I’m thinking about my son learning how to do this, along with wood carving and so this video helps a lot 🥰. Liked and subscribed x
