- We spend 2 weeks in quarantine with no shore leave at anchor in Grenada on our Tartan 37 sailboat due to Coronavirus. We finally get cleared into the country in the end and then explore Morne Rouge beach, Secret Harbour marina, and then finally arrive to Woburn Bay where we will spend quite some time anchoring during hurricane season.
It’s nice to see and hear Lindy more in the great videos that you all create.
Thank you! I agree!
Makes me happy. Y'all keep it up
Thank you! Will do!
Thanks for the vid guys. Quarantine no fun; boring😭
You are welcome!
Wow, very cool. Zach, would you recommend Grenada as a launching off point for Caribbean cruising? Was looking at sint Marten, but now Grenada. Still extreme COVID restrictions though, which is not ideal.
Definitely Grenada would be a great starting point. Lots of boats. All down wind sailing. Economical country with above average boat services. Yes, at the moment there is a serious Covid outbreak. We're also watching for it to get better before returning in January (we're currently visiting family in the US).
Congratulations you're negative. You go through customs, but does your boat and everything on it?
Thank you! We have to pay for what is called a "cruising permit" to temporarily allow our boat and it's contents into the country. The cost of this is dependent on the size of the boat. For every month we stay in Grenada, we have to renew the permit and pay again. I'm sure if you move to Grenada permanently, you have to pay full customs duty. This is the same for most countries we travel to by boat.
LOL - who down voted this?
Always a pleasure. Starting to feel like the old days!

Lol. Just about every video get a thumbs down or 2. Who knows?! :) Thanks for watching!
I wonder why you are not expected to quarantine in the official Grenadian Quarantine area like the majority of folk who arrive on the island. You guys have it pretty cushy there on boat huh? Antigua is pronounced AN-TEE-GAH not An-ti-goo-ah.
We feel very fortunate on our boat and are humbled to be allowed in the great country of Grenada. The official quarantine anchorage for boats was set up by the Grenadian government and a Grenadian organization called Grenada Lima. We researched the rules they laid out and followed them. Hoping to be able to go to Antigua this year! We missed it due to the lockdowns and have never been. :)
