Weighted perks are in no way fixed. They still exist on exotic class items. But, becuase they added the new feature where you can guarantee one perk they can say its fixed. We have all felt that perk weighting was going on for years. What's worse is to have the community manager DMG tell us were all crazy and we dont know how games work. Only a week later to come out with "we've identified a problem...." They refuse to budge on Onslaught "shiny" drop rates. They took away crafting and gave us a broken "tonic" system? They just want you in game, grinding constantly. Period.
This part right here, "they just want you in game, grinding constantly", they dont actually care if you're having fun or feeling rewarded with what you're doing in game, they just want you putting hours upon hours into the game, point blank period.

Maybe I'm confusing replayability with grinding, but it feels like that's all Bungie focused on, grinding. New exotic weapon mission? Play it normal, play it legendary, do that again for 4 more weeks to get all the traits. New season, have to grind a new artifact every 3 months. New season, new focus super and abilities and having to level up weapons in the fault i haven't used in 6 months and rebuild my loadouts to be relevant for 3 months. I stopped playing for about 3 months when I moved and the grind is the only thing keeping me from wanting to play again. Bought a new TV, upgraded to a new xbox and have only played D2 for about an hour. It looks nicer on the new xbox, but if I'm grinding I'd rather spend my time in Black Ops 6 to unlocked camos than replay the same old content in D2. Heck, I've spent more time in GTA 5 than D2 because its fun and not a slog.
I loved Pantheon but I do think it's better as a limited time mode. They should bring it back every year for moments of triumph with different encounters and new changes.
Idek if I’d want it yearly. Maybe every other and on the off years do a dungeon version? Who knows. Just figured it makes more sense to not rock it yearly, especially when there’s only one raid a year
I traded trials carries for getting a dude a time lost fatebringer way back. Its absolutely something you can do its just that most people dont have a clan my size as a resource.
Is making pve players play pvp healthy for the game or does it just gradually grow resentment resulting in people leaving eventually and never coming back.
They just need to make/release an update that affects a ton of the systems game wide at one time to see some real change, but ngl as of recent it feels like creators or just milking this for money. Like there are a lot of problems the game has yes, but just honestly move on from it or just try to not say too much. Like we need to get new players in the game and get returning players back playing but when videos like this are just milked for the sake of views then no one really wants to play the game let alone try it out.
There are many reasons as to why I dont play anymore. Trying to get this across without it sounding weird but the relationship I had with the game wasn't healthy. Whenever I was on I only did 2 raids Vow and RoN. I know every raid in the game but I don't care to do them. Same goes for pretty much all the content in the game. Pve outside of the 2 raids I named before, PvP, seasonal content even power grind. I used to do everything the game had to offer but at some point I started caring less and less. When I noticed I was playing a game with so much to do but I don't feel like doing 99% of it I realised I just shouldn't interact with the game at all. Because thats not playing a game, thats just wasting time. I'm sure alot of people can relate to this, when you boot up the game and only get to the character select screen before you already feel like you dont wanna play, that is a sign. Go do something else with your life. Whether it be playing a different game that you actually enjoy or something else entirely. You'll be so much happier. I've been playing since the D1 beta, I started playing on and off after shadowkeep and I stopped playing all together after 2024 FOTL. These feelings on the game had been boiling up inside me for years but now I can finally put them into words. I wont be tied down by time and cost sunk fallacy, especially when It doesn't even feel like the game or the company respects the time and energy you put into it. And seeing what has been happening to the game since I've stopped playing I feel like this was the best course of action for me. Srry for the essay but I hope this comment can be helpful for the people who feel the same way I did when I still played and they can find their way to be free of that game. And to the people who still genuinely enjoy playing it, all the power to you.
D2 will not be replayable. The way the game is structured, the loot is next to pointless. What are you using the new shotgun on? Or choir of one? Boring ass content that gets old extremely fast because Bungie thinks the player enjoys playing the same activity 50 times without issue. Part of D2 problems is streamers. They hype up subpar content for... content. This new shotgun is chappy 2.0. this new shotty gives you wallhacks. Smh. Take someone like clyde even, is he showing new ways to play strand warlock or void Titan? No. It's prismatic Titan over and over and over again. Boring. They encourage boring. Streamers like him will look for busted weapons then complain that the game is stale later on. Smh. Bungie has developed a game where they think repetition is a quality mechanic that improves retention, it doesn't. They talk of pantheon and into the light. Those things popped off because we were waiting for final shape. But how quickly did onslaught lose it's luster? Take this shotty quest, they actually made it to where you need to go in like 5 times to get all you need. Why? You mean to tell me that there wasn't any play tester complaining about that? There's nothing in d2 that we do that we don't get tried of quickly. Streamers like Clyde complained about crafting driving players away from activities after they get their borders. But wouldn't those same players do the same after they got their god rolls anyways? So you'd rather us languish in a shit activity for what? Appearances? We only got craftables for seasonal and raid weapons. That leaves Gambit, crucible, vanguard/gms, world drops, and dungeons that are ALL rng. But they think crafting was a problem? So no, d2 will not be repayable until whatever this version of the game is, is razed to the ground.
I'd argue when the newest expansion first dropped back in the spring, the matchmaking felt like call of duty. I got terrible teammates and went up against elite teams I didn't even get to play the first trials, as I punched a hole in the wall after too much BS and just quit then and there. 😅 I should mention i spent over 200$ on the expansions to play with my clan. Only to quit again in 3 months.
I feel like I have the most off opinion but here it is. The grind hurts the game specifically for me and crafting helps. Grinding for the 5/5 and not getting it after hundreds upon hundreds of drops hurts and discourages me from playing. And since your in the ever lasting grind of grinding for the 5/5 you eventually stop and dont play other games and then you loose interest all together.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but GOD DAMN do i hate this new fireteam finder they incorporated straight into the game. I miss the old system on the companion app and the sheer simplicity of it and how you could type specifically whatever you wanted in the title. It was working so perfectly and whatever works doesn't need to be fixed or replaced.
It's an overall good quality of life change, in a game where I feel that game chat is still seriously buggy, if not broken. I've constantly gone into game chat fireteams where one or two people can't communicate with each other for some weird reason. Whilst back in the xbox lfg days, it was never an issue. I think that fireteam finder is great for smaller activities, be it strikes, nightfalls, exotic missions or dungeons. Where you don't have to do much communicating and you're just hopping in and out of the activity. I think that a big issue is that between the low player base and whatever is left, splitting their attention through all the various lfg services, what we're left with is basically a very low player count on said lfgs. Nowadays it's near impossible to find a salvation's edge post on xbox, and whatever posts you find were posted 15-60 minutes ago. I still remember how easy it was to find and run RON last year. It was even one of the raid seals I was able to get the fastest. It's been almost 7 months since final shape came out and apparently I've only ran SE 3 times... Which sucks because I think it's a fun raid, the mechanics aren't complicated, they're just very hard to explain, and because most lfgs you find are either new raiders or try hards; you never actually get a fair shake at trying out some of the other party roles...
Replayability defo has to be part of the cocktail, but right now there is no fun in D2. New raids and new dungeons are really just boring AF. You get 1 mechanic with variants of the same thing in every encounter, the harder encounters are just so mechanic heavy that no one wants to do them. Long gone are the days of KF, LW and the like, where every encounter was different. Another thing missing in D2 is the hype over a loot drop, weather its a legendary from an endgame activity or an exotic. There have been waaaaay too many loot handouts in destiny over the past few years, above everything else exotics dropping in every activity has just taken the magic out of getting the drop in the first place. Sadly all we are left with in 2025 is grind grind grind, then shard shard shard.
Womp Womp. Game still feels fresh to me. The D2 community is all over the place when it comes to how the game should be handled. Thats probably why Bungie doesnt listen to the community very often. Just look at weapon crafting, tons of people hate it. Tons of people also like it, myself included. People comain about mechanics in the raids and dungeons being the same every encounter, others complain that raid encounters are to difficult, others complain that raid encounters arent unique. People complain about having to farm weapon rolls, people complain that they cant farm weapon rolls. People complain about pvp being dead, but nobody plays pvp for fun. Its their fault. Cheaters in every PVP game, but for some reason its the D2 community that refuses to push through it. The community doesnt know what it wants, from D3 to Destiny 1 classic, to Destiny Mobile, to Destiny 2.5. They just know they want something and so they say Destiny replayability is the issue. They say player numbers are the issue, they say cheaters are the issue, they say meaningful content is the issue. Whatever that means. The issue is that some of ylu just need to chill out and stop looking at D2 through muddied lenses and just have fun with the game. Let bungie cook, focus on reporting cheaters, focus on reporting bugs, but just have fun and let them cook. Dont bounce back in forth every week in social media to complain and hear others complaints about what is and isnt the issue. Thats not healthy because negativity only invites more negativity and that never leads to an evolving community. Just a hate mob. If your not having fun, when the game is clearly fun for others then that is on you, not the game. Find something else or get over yourself.
I stepped away from destiny 2, found a girlfriend, refound my love for hiking, skateboarding and much more. being addicted to D2, i do not regret but bro, 6000 hours in a game, has the perfect amount of replayability. most of us have simply overplayed and outgrown the game. simple as that. ITS OKAY TO MOVE ON
Bungie dropped the ball when it was already on the fucking floor this season with massive amounts of controversy, terrible loot and ways to obtain it, terrible systems, and awful story telling. Tonic and weight gate was what killed player motivation for me and probably many others to keep playing. Knowing that our time spent grinding for hours and not getting the desired perks we wanted was for nothing just destroyed any motivation like Tai Lung being disappointed after seeing the Dragon Scroll. The shitty implementation of tonics and loot grinding for the season ruined satisfaction with seasonal content. Loot for this season was mid and dungeon loot was great to see but you couldn't obtain the best rolls until after weight gate. Dawning event was awful because of how little changes there were on top of it being the same shit grind and you couldn't even earn essence from seasonal activities. This season has been the lowest D2 has ever been with player counts reaching 4 digits and player sentiment through the dirt.
man gaming communities over use the statement that a game is dying. this game is so far away from dying its weird to even think it is dying. pvp is a blast so is pve. been playing since d1 still loving it no complaints other than i wish i could replay red war just bc.
yep making the game super casual and no better/different reward for endgame content is killing the game , the exotic mission is the perfect example on how the game should work, the base gun is for the pepega mode, the best version of the gun ( even if the catalyst are trash i know) are for the harest version, thank god bungie is going ( if they don't get scared) on that direction with tiers
Bungie lacking a meaningful core vision is what killed the game and you can't spur on a company of people who always treated the game more disposable for the sake of shareholders, it's why the game is accessible but has so little to truly get invested over. Destiny was always going to have limitations yes, but the lack of any meaningful goals to truly innovate things and keep that momentum was going to doom things for the long haul. The fact D1 shipped with no comms and we didn't get ingame LFG until late 2023 is pathetic. Armor 3.0 should've been in the game years ago as well, the stat splits being determined by 2 stat buckets based on the physical order of the stats was always one of the dumbest mechanics and I'm not shocked when Weightgate got found out and other meddling exists. Rewards system in this game is also complete garbage and has no consistency. Frontiers will probably be a mess when they ship out even less content and act as basic overdue fixes are some big impactful updates worth of an expansion. This is the same company that created Guardian Ranks as a way to improve new player onboarding and framed it as some sort of mentor system.
Yeah with season of the wish I was playing GMs all day long everybody was they were good they were tough we were all enjoying the solar buffs but GMs now feel underwhelming and a few feel overtuned
It’s not dead. They have their ace in the hole which is frontiers. Lots of big changes coming which will help but honestly we need a fresh start with destiny 3. That’s the only thing that will save the franchise imo.
IB is in a bit ( just a bit) of a better state than Trials. In IB there is at least a reason to go play it. Trying to get that 120 HC or the Side arm, of the Void pulse, etc. Trials what do you go in for? If u don’t have a good decent team you will be making it easy for the Sweats and not to mentioned the cheaters! Right now Trials sweats do not like the state of Trials not really because of the cheaters but it’s mostly because the population is sooo low that the only thing that sweats find are more sweats and that it’s not enjoyable to them. Sweats like to go agains average and below average PvP players so things are easier and it’s an Ego booster for them.
Complaining about replayability in Destiny 2 but then running around in circles or standing behind walls for hours in The First Descendant - the game that doesn't even have content not to mention replayability! 😂
Have ti disagree there's plenty of replayability in d2, it's just we're all. In the mindset of if I don't need anythin front it what's the point of doing it
Exactly IB just prove that Bungie still shitting on you with that perk width, what a cheap way to keep player count in game !, but guess what we’ll gonna give you that middle figure and go play PoE2 Warfare marvel rivals, whatever !
It's the streamers who are the problem crying at everything. Make it difficult etc etc. RB aren't the problem the problem is giving all weapons enhanced perks .should be for adepts n trials weapons only .so players chase the weapons
This game actually died years ago, taking a quick look through your thumbnails it clearly shows when you started to diverge from Destiny. You still making dough from this game so no hate there, but the games been over for quite sometime now...
Crafting did more harm than good. It spoiled everyone including casuals but killed the end game grind for the no lifers. Why farm nightfalls for a mid fusion rifle when i can craft a better one? Why grind trials when its filled with cheaters and I can craft a near copy of every weapon? Crafting has a place in the game. Add old weapons to it like this season for example; the splicer gear should be craftable while the new seasonal stuff shouldn't be. Same with raids. New raid gear should not be craftable but when it gets revamped like garden did recently then make them craftable. Also i dont think we should be able to craft enhanced perks on stuff but if its an RNG drop then we should be able to upgrade it to enhanced. But bungie doesn't have the staff left to make these changes so we're just stuck. The game at its core is an incredible game. But its old and the CEO was/is killing thr company for a golden parachute from sony. Normally I am optimistic about the future of bungie but this time im not.
No, the grind to max level , then 3 months later…. Grind again to max level…..then grind again to max level. Constantly having to do rubbish content AGAIN just for the pinacles. It gets boring real fast. I stepped away for a few years as done pretty much everything. Jumped back on again and got Max level, hooray. 2 months later grind back up again. Dungeon keys locked behind a paywall. Sad truth D2 is an old game. Random rolls on raid weapons have stopped me even bothering. I get better rolls just doing vanguard Ops and more engrams for the time allocation. D2 is done. I quit it yet again. Bungie, enough of the power up every quarter. It’s old, it’s boring and it’s damn lazy content. #micdrop
You cant have your cake and eat it too. Gear the game towards new/casual players you alienate the hardcore/consistent players. The reverse is also true. Ideally those new players turn consistent.
Love the game! Wishlist: Anti champion mods being on certain weapons, would be great if the anti-champion was a mod slot I would use so much more of my vaults weapons. Running dungeons feels like a waste getting sub 65 rolls and Bungie complains people don't wear the armour for raids or dungeons... wonder why give me incentive to play the game give me loot... for a looter shooter the loot is pretty crappy!
They had years to grow D2, instead they just made disposable content that was put in the game only to be removed a few months later.
Another big problem you did not address especially for trials is not having unique weapon designs and only getting 2 reskins per season
Real, seeing the same guns i been seeing for years being pushed as "new" every season just bc they slaped a piece of rusted metal on the barrel is not exciting me at all

I had to reset a bunch in ib to get a tina w/ chill clip . Not to mention the cost of glimmer in ib is fkin ridiculous
Raids are getting too mechanic heavy. They need a better balance. Especially if they expect me to grind them.
Honestly why kings fall is still the pinnacle of raids to me. Mechanics aren’t difficult to teach and plenty of boss encounters to keep you engaged.

Wow, what ship and shader is that? 👀
It's on its Deathbead. Been playing since Day 1. Its Jover for Destiny 2.
Its absolutely something you can do its just that most people dont have a clan my size as a resource.
using the same guns and maps since 2014... that ruined Destiny
Is making pve players play pvp healthy for the game or does it just gradually grow resentment resulting in people leaving eventually and never coming back.
Exactly
They just need to make/release an update that affects a ton of the systems game wide at one time to see some real change, but ngl as of recent it feels like creators or just milking this for money. Like there are a lot of problems the game has yes, but just honestly move on from it or just try to not say too much. Like we need to get new players in the game and get returning players back playing but when videos like this are just milked for the sake of views then no one really wants to play the game let alone try it out.
Destiny is full of shit
I got terrible teammates and went up against elite teams
I didn't even get to play the first trials, as I punched a hole in the wall after too much BS and just quit then and there. 😅
I should mention i spent over 200$ on the expansions to play with my clan.
Bro you took the words out of my mouth…
Vault space / maxed is a joke, 200 strange coin max is a joke. Cheaters are a joke. This game has become a...
Double rep double rewards should be the standard. Bungie can’t not be stingy.
ITS OKAY TO MOVE ON
Well I finally got burnt out a month ago I don't really see a point in continuing to play something that's not gonna get better or excite me
Bungie dropped the ball when it was already on the fucking floor this season with massive amounts of controversy, terrible loot and ways to obtain it, terrible systems, and awful story telling.
I got air trigger/chill clip first hour of IB and dipped. Its just RNG my guy.
yep making the game super casual and no better/different reward for endgame content is killing the game , the exotic mission is the perfect example on how the game should work, the base gun is for the pepega mode, the best version of the gun ( even if the catalyst are trash i know) are for the harest version, thank god bungie is going ( if they don't get scared) on that direction with tiers
I want more prismatic aspects, btw yeah game is for real dead, I find no one for raiding and if I find some ppl they are toxic as hell
They should bring in every activity who evere we payed then we can plqy what we want
Umm at the point where replayabilty is not the problem the hit peak kool with prismatic nd its gonna take something really big to bring me back
O have more than 8000 hours. And stoped in october. Game is full of bugs, boring mission, always the same, gay narrative and supports ukraine. Is sad.
my favorite raid is still the last wish
Yo Jerry! Clyde says hi
What's a friend?
Couldn’t agree more, GM weapons are 💩.
You’re so right bro. Fa’real.
You’re one of the better TH-camrs others are sell outs.
The game dead face the truth
It's the streamers who are the problem crying at everything. Make it difficult etc etc.
RB aren't the problem the problem is giving all weapons enhanced perks .should be for adepts n trials weapons only .so players chase the weapons
Bungie! (don't worried I will not talk negative about destiny 2)
I wish you ... luck!
play again: new dlc or its news! take care :D
I still enjoy playing it. I wish the Crucible got its new maps it was promised
Hey they said "crucible strike team" multiple times that should be enough
@ you’re right. I should know better
This game actually died years ago, taking a quick look through your thumbnails it clearly shows when you started to diverge from Destiny. You still making dough from this game so no hate there, but the games been over for quite sometime now...
Bungie made there bed
Who else here still wants all the original expansions to return ?
"Literally would've brought bungie back to life"
Probably the dumbest opinion on crafting in the game. Gonna have to go ahead and ask TH-cam to no longer recommend this nonsense on my feed. 👋
#micdrop
Can content creators STOP being so MORBID !!!! The game will get BETTER stop hating
Other than trials/PvP, everything else in the 😢game is good. IB is still better than trials tho.
Also, you guys have the luxury to call in the “Big Dogs” as you so put it. Others do not. They genuinely need help or need to get better at it.
You cant have your cake and eat it too. Gear the game towards new/casual players you alienate the hardcore/consistent players. The reverse is also true. Ideally those new players turn consistent.
the game is boring man i stopped 1 year ago
Destiny 2 is dead my man it's a pathetic exotic mission dude please let it die already
And Trials engrams are bugged and are not dropping. So I'm not touching trials until that's fixed.
Destiny players farm weapons Bungie farms time and money. Time to peace out.
weighted perks are definitely NOT fixed. wouldn't be the first time that "fixes" don't go through
Its simple game is dead evreything is too old and flashed out making game too bland
U literally play tfd. A cheap Warframe clone 😂
