    I saw someone that turned a drift car with a gyro into a dirt Oval car, and it looked amazing, it took the corners exactly like a real modified dirt track car, I hope this catches on an they start racing cars like this! It would be so cool to watch 20 of them going around a track!

    Going fast is all based on set up and tuning which is why tuning is so important. It doesn’t matter if you have a strong motor if you can’t make the car handle in the jumps or corners

    That was fun Ryan! I hope I can find more like this.
    I'm a lot like the Guy who asked the last question....
    I've been Racing RC since 1986! I abandoned the whole thing in 2002, because it got too hyper competitive. DON'T get me wrong, please! I Live for Competition!!! 👍👍😊 But, especially in the 90's, it actually seemed like if I bought something on Friday - it would be OBSOLETE by the Sunday A-Main!! 😱😠😥
    I also Raced 1:1 Cars Semi-Pro. I expected hot Competition there. RC is my Hobby! What I do for fun and Friendship. By the end of my run, the fun was all but Gone....
    Crawlers and Scalers dragged me back into the Hobby, about 2 years ago!! Maybe it's just because I'm Old (54!!), I found that helpfulness and Comraderie in slow 1/10 Scale Trucks.
    I STILL go to my local Track.... Part of me wants to get back in, in a smaller way.
    BUT, Holy $&@#% the Cars are EXPENSIVE these days!!! 😱 I THOUGHT that $350 was a lot for a Scaler Truck......
    That would BARELY get a semi-competitive Buggy *Chassis,* WITHOUT Wheels, Tires or Electronics!!!! Now, I know that ANY Hobby Grade Kit doesn't come with Electronics. But Wheels and Tires?
    I guess I'm suffering from sticker shock. Back in the Day (really far back!!), I never really saw the money flying out. Now, as a Disabled Veteran, I bring in SO little, that maybe Racing won't be in my future. Still fun to watch though.
    Your Channel is VERY helpful BTW!! You're helping out a lot of Guys and Gals - with information that, back in the 80's and 90's would have been harder to drag out of someone, than a CIA Secret!!!

    I'm not into RC racing at the moment, but I'd love it if you could do a tutorial on steering setups, specifically for more angle (yes, for drifting...). You're very thorough with your videos when it comes to explaining stuff in a way that everyone understands. I'm sure anybody in the RC community will benefit and thank you for it.

      Drifting is full on different steering setups than racing… ackerman and whatnot is thrown out the door when your counter steering all the time..

    • @RyanHarrisRC
      @RyanHarrisRC  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @charlesbruner71 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      right on! Yeah I always get the jai alai when I'm in or around Tampa.. we don't have cigar city beer up here in S Georgia 😒. But yeah I'll drink about any beer as long as it's cold, lol. Cigar of choice now is the AJ Fernandez 'Enclave'. I also like one called a brick house. Unfortunately few people up here smoke cigars and almost all my buddy's turn down my offers, glad to see you enjoying them down there in St Pete!

    Love the channel Ryan! I was wondering if u could do a video on radio set up. Or point me the right direction. For example! Throttle speed, exp, th Accel. I run Futaba if u need to know. Thanks so much. PS. I feel fast! Well I am fast. But the reason I ask is I run with Lutz and bornhorst at are local track and it just seems they are way smoother in and out of corners. With a lot let wheel spin! Bit when I mess with that stuff on radio I feel I'm going backwards! Thanks again!

      Robert Tannenbaum I'm a fan of clay/ dirt tracks. I'd rather have dirt and mud on my vehicle than fake grass getting in my bearings.

    • @robbieracer3294
      @robbieracer3294 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      One of our track went astro in april, it's fun as hell. It's pretty challenging finding a setup and getting dialed in for a whole different type of surface. If you like dialing in your cars, turf will teach you a lot. And it adds a lot of precision to your driving. The surface doesn't really change so it's all driver input that either puts you in a good qualifier or bad. And we don't get anything in our bearings like carpet can sometimes do lol. But yea, it is true, kits are definitely going more towards high bite stuff these days. It's also cheaper to run a carpet/turf track so that's why a lot of tracks/shops are doing it. But..if it means closing down or going to carpet or turf, i'll support the shop or track so they can remain open. We had some dirt tracks close because they couldn't afford to stay open. The one that went to turf, he was going to close down for good, but decided to try one more time with astro and business has been great. He cut his cost down by not needing a bobcat, shovels, watering system etc and he's saving quite a bit. I use to race on a full loose, sandy track...I don't miss buying new bearings every two weeks at all lol
