@@prokraftuk I wouldn't say wittering on as your videos are interesting and informative. It's just that I can't saw in a straight line and I don't have a bandsaw which is why I'll start with a simple one. I feel a finished letter opener would sell around £15-£20. How much would you advise?
Hopefully Gyllawoodpens won't mind me saying the very first kit (4 ring type) they had was sold for £20. I'm no expert on craft fairs but I think £15-£20 is about right, it will of course depend on what it's made with and how much a buyer wants it. It does sometimes astonish me that some won't pay £20 for an unique hand crafted item that will last years but are quite happy to fork out £5 on a pork pie and £3.50 on a coffee that are gone in minutes! Hopefully things will change though as I think more people are starting to like individuality. I like your Model T ford wheelspoke pen!
@@prokraftuk glad you like my model T wheelspoke pen. It's good to have feedback from fellow turners. I'll be making them with a black kit in future as all Model T's came in black (execpt for the very early ones). I feel a black kit would be more in keeping with the model T.
These kits look great John, they have given me some great ideas for them so will be ordering some soon, keep up the great work
Great kit Jon. I may have a go at letter openers. I think I'll try the simple ones first though.
We do simple ones too, but just loved the design of this one and we like to be different! - thanks for watching & listening to me wittering on.
