I havn't seen that since I saw it on tv in the 80s. Brilliantly funny after all these years. What a funny talented bloke Kenny was. Going to check out more of his programmes now. Thanks for sharing.😂👍
I used to watch "The Kenny Everett Video Show" on what would later become the Fox network in the Early 80s. Did I say "watch it"? I should have said "wouldn't miss it." I met my best friend when I mentioned dressing up as Captain Kremmen for Halloween.
And at 6:18, 18:36 Joanna Lumley who was “Aunt Emma” from “The Wolf of Wall Street”. Shows like this, Benny Bill and the Paul Hogan Show, were great “Jacking Material” for a 10 - 12 year old boy. Man, who wasn’t In love with Delvene Delaney from “The Paul Hogan Show”.
These days people drive Sherman tanks called SUVs. 6:50 - Sure, blame the dog! 11:10 - Just like Steve Irwin. 13:0 - "Atmospheric conditions" on the moon? 24:00 - She's gorgeous.
I know it's been heavily debated as to which shows were the best but, as funny as his shows were at the BBC, Kenny's shows for Thames were better. They often took more risks &, as his fans also noticed, there was no annoying audience laughter aside from the crew behind the scenes when the shows were being recorded
SWEDISH CAPTIONS? MANNEN IS FROM IRELAND . COUNTY GALWAY? ME WAS AN IMMIGRANT, LIVED IN COUNTIES CORK, DUBLIN, CLARE, VISITED GALWAY, LIMERICK. MAYBE YOUR HUSBAND... CHEERS.
He was a force of comic genius with everything to give and you got it in bucket loads He was a true creator of comedy that was to be set to A standard and true inspirator of pure raw Anarchy Good on ya Ken,, 😂❤️🙏
Ground breaking. He had his fingers on the pulse of what was contemporary. And , had it been a few years previous, the beeb wouldn't have allowed it. However, with the beginning of Thatcher 's britain, he took the opportunity and ran with it.
@@andysalter7192it only works as comedy if you understand the greater social situation in the UK at the time. And while these skits are old, done and a bit naff now, at the time it was both groundbreaking and hilarious. Edit also, a lot of up and coming comedians got their first tv appearances on the Kenny Everett Show. And he also lead a revolution in what was allowed on radio a decade before he was on TV.
he was more influential than comedy. he revolutionised local radio by recording all local slots from his home in a home studio. George Harrison and Pink Floyd thought that was a grand idea. The home studio was born, driving a trend that continues to this day - the democratisation of music.
Just imagine the physical work that went into that Bee Gees segment - sure, you could do it in 10 minutes now on a digital editing suite, but imagine what they had to do!
This was considered tasteless at the time by many. But in all the voices you can hear the world of my childhood My younger son is exactly the age I was when I watched this. A much happier lad, I think, but surrounded by a mad world..
I remember trying to sneakily watch this on the portable in the dining room while "doing my homework". :) One ear cocked for the lounge door opening so I could switch over and get back to my history essay...
kenny was absolutly one of those memorable entertainers, comics, absolute brilliant ,that the young one today wouldnt bother with ,they wouldnt understand the humour ,cause us that grew up with all the comedy and entertainers of our generation only US understand it kenny was BRILLIANT
Get yourself a Sherman tank. You know it makes sense. Thie fella was as zany as they come, and l loved him for it. The woke brigade had not yet been born the sad baskets that we have today.
@@gbhxu agreed yes , the Thames shows had a special atmosphere about them , I think Ken had more of a free hand on the creativity and madness that ensured
@btsb60 yes, Kenny moved from Thames to the BBC in 1981. There was a lot of this channel swapping with entertainers around this time. Mike Yarwood did the reverse in 1982, but the big one was in 1978 when the BBC lost Bruce Forsyth to LWT plus Morecambe & Wise to Thames. In return, the BBC poached Larry Grayson from LWT & also Little & Large from Thames
An absolutely useless fact but the silver costume worn by the saxophone player of the legendary Madness was used a year earlier in the episode Deathwatch of the equally fab sci-fi series 'Blake's 7'.
Ah, my childhood. An all in the best possible taste! What a genius he was. RIP Kenny.

Thanks for posting this. Many years I've looked for this episode. Thank you!!!!!
Wonderful. A trip down Memory Lane, and a galaxy of stars in this. Thanks for posting! ⭐👍

Definitely these sort of shows benny hill etc needs to be put back on TV again .Good old days lol
I was four years old when this was broadcast and every moment of it shaped and was memorised by me.
Willie Rushton as a guest star!
and Billy Connolly.
Thank you - the Bee Gees skit is wonderful
Kenny had that gift of being hilarious without trying.
This comedy still holds up after 40 years!
Grateful for that TV, showing these programmes again like Kenny and Benny hill.,goodies,
Yes, that's what I thought.
The comedy, yes. The orange overalls, no.
You must be joking, it’s about as funny as it was back then. Excruciating awful darling!
The best possible taste and fantastic comic genius the Kenny Everett T.V. show.
Cupid stunt how did he get away with it 😂 😂
Love Kenny Everett .
a Very funny show. British Comedy TV in the 80's was superb
I used to watch "The Kenny Everett Video Show" on what would later become the Fox network in the Early 80s. Did I say "watch it"? I should have said "wouldn't miss it." I met my best friend when I mentioned dressing up as Captain Kremmen for Halloween.
Kenny was about 30 years ahead of his time
Done in the best possible taste!
Kenny was a genius 😂 loved him 😌
Always remembered that Spider-Man desperately going to the urinals sketch.
I'd forgotten how funny he was. On of the greats RIP.
Don't know how Ken got away with the name Cupid Stunt. Apparently Mary Hinge was refused as too obvious !
Yeah right, unbelievable really.
@SynthMusicFan 501 swap the first two letters
@SynthMusicFan 501 Hairy Minge.
Apparently, Barry Cryer called Kenny a "Stupid C***" and he just changed the letter round
Debbie Linden, 12.07 was gorgeous. Dead from a heroin overdose at 36.

I'm sure he'd be chuckling at the plethora of North Atlantic crab trawler programmes we've seen in recent years.
All done in the best possible taste!
20:50 Wow, great Bee Gees sketch.
the effort behind it was immense, they were all Everett , multiple layers of a digital composition.
Is it true that I was only 6 when I saw this?
I'd have been a lot more grown up after seeing it.
All classic gags
Love it still
Kenny's impresion of David attenbourough 😂😂
Great show!

That Madness video was......well, madness.
Ulkis Blaffa, that's our Kenny.

I just never got his sense of human …I get how people liked him but to me he was very simple humour and for much younger audiences…..

The BBC gave him a secure primetime slot for years, so there presumably had to be some compromises on his part.
Zany as could be, and no woke brigade
Transported to 12 yrs old lol
The video scene is amazing.
Still a rippa 👍👍
Top Gear took it from here partly a bit. I wonder if it turd out ok... I liked it
Billy Connolly!
Shouldn't have left Thames TV
6:27 is that John Hannah?!
They accutally showed this in Sweden? Wow. Why can't I stop laughing to the mere thought of a Kenny Everret Tour of Sweden. :D
Yes it was aired here in Sweden
Åter igen, tack för kulturgärningen.
WHAT NO HOT GOSSIP.
7:44 funny to think all three of them are now dead.
Not as good as the ITV shows
the only reason he got the show ...because the BBC is full of people who were like him. Still funny though.
SWEDISH CAPTIONS? MANNEN IS FROM IRELAND . COUNTY GALWAY? ME WAS AN IMMIGRANT, LIVED IN COUNTIES CORK, DUBLIN, CLARE, VISITED GALWAY, LIMERICK. MAYBE YOUR HUSBAND... CHEERS.
Yes. It was recorded from Swedish television.
that is not a Sherman. Wolverine TD, more like.
Crawl back under your tank, Yukarin-chan
Ah, good old Maurice Cole.
All those lovely lasses and him being a turd burglar.

True legend R.I.P Kenny.
Ah how I miss him. What a talent.
Oh… Cleo Rocos! Be still my beating heart!
Love the man!
I'd imagine he would be really, really upset with world today, considering the struggle he put up with.
So, so funny.
Ååååh! Kenny! Och Cupid Stunt!

My god, he was ultra innovative and brilliant
God that cheered me up. Ta 4 upload 💓💓💓
You're welcome :)

the telephone sketch is painfully apposite in 2023
They don't make 'em like that anymore! And if they did, they'd get cancelled PDQ. Ah Kenny, you're sorely missed.

Kenny is sitting on a M10 Wolverine Tank Destroyer not a Sherman. But I'd say it would still help with your parking problems.
One of my all time favourite TV shows.
Vilken underbart urflippad show! Hade aldrig hört talas om den om det inte vore för din uppladdning. Tack!

The Thames TV shows were much better , something was lost when the series moved to the BBC.
Probably the addition of the audience. When Kenny did the shows for Thames, it was just the crew laughing

Yay, Cardiac arrest from Madness with a rare appearance from Elvis Thompson.
Madness

Wow. The phone scene. So relevant to today.
Love Madness and the way they move! Total stars!
ITV years were much funnier. Less contrived and scripted. I dont think the BBC understood the mission.
Rest in Peace Kenny ❤
Loved this show as a kid. Didn't miss an episode. I was 11, lol
OK, I'll be that guy... That wasn't a Sherman tank at 04:25, it was an M10 Wolverine Tank Destroyer 🤓
With a M10 Tank Destroyer...not a Sherman....you can park anywhere....
