    I knew it was user error 😂 i was using way too much and then not working fast enough in small sections... just put it on how you demonstrated it, and it's amazing! My best friend and I affectionately refer to you as our home girl 😂 your anti aging advice hasn't steered us wrong. She just signed up for the agency, and I have most of your skin care routine down. Thank you for everything, home girl! ❤

    It took me a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but this truly is a case of less is more. A tiny amount goes a long way and, applied correctly, it is absolutely amazing on my horrendous pores. I was leery about using my full skin care regimen, so this video was much appreciated. It's good to know that I don't have to give up any of my favorite products in order to get great results.

    Thank you so very much! I have been wanting to try this but I wasn’t willing to give up my skincare either and I haven’t seen anyone actually demonstrate using the skincare before applying. I always trust your opinion, I use many of the products and devices you have recommended and have been very happy. I’m 55, I’m post menopause then had a radical hysterectomy and something else I can’t remember the name of. I started seeing a major change in my skin. I have just started in the past year to really get into skincare and especially sunscreen. I have learned a lot from you and a couple others. Thank you for sharing your knowledge from your experience.

    I think I might return mine. I don’t have time to wait for all that drying and therefore likely either won’t use it or will and it won’t look good. It does look spectacular on you! I’ve been loving my Huda Beauty jam primer so much and it doesn’t need to dry down.

    It's a miracle primer. Like you, I apply my skincare first and then I mix Dr. Green's and Paula's Choice sunscreen and then the miracle primer to cheeks, nose and chin. I use the Chanel One foundation and my daughter asked me what I was doing different because my skin looked so smooth. Always a feel good moment with that type of compliment. Thanks Angie for finding this wonderful primer.

    I bought the primer and the Tarte powder foundation after watching your video. I have been using your exact a.m. regimen for over a year but found this primer was still too drying for me. I went back to using my Ilia tinted skin serum, which is very shiny looking and I had been using a blurring powder over. I like the Tarte blurring powder foundation you recommended much better. I now use the primer just on my nose, so it won't be wasted nor did I need to return it to Sephora.

    Love this product!After using PTR FirmX under my eyes for the past three years, this is such an improvement! Far less room for error. I let my moisturizer soak in under my eyes and then apply. Once it flattens the puffiness and mattifies- I don’t need a concealer 😊

    • @michellekelly2937
      @michellekelly2937 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you saying you prefer the PTR FirmX "primer" better than the Instant FirmX "Eye" (in the black tube) to use under the eyes? My husband has pretty severe bags and puffiness under his eyes, and I've been thinking about getting him this product to try. He's been asking me about it!! Would you suggest I buy the "primer" product instead instead of the one for the eyes? Is there any fragrance? Thanks so much! : )

    I just bought it and nice to see a video giving a fair and honest review with techniques. What I’m gathering is that it’s a great product if used properly and used on special occasions when you have extra time to get ready. It seems like it’s not for daily use due to the time it takes to apply /dry

    I use it primarily for my under eyes. I don't have much discoloration, but hereditary deeper crevices that always cast shadows. I have tried so many concealers and haven't gotten any to look much better than none at all - plus sometimes the build up makes the area look worse. This primer is nothing short of amazing. It does have a learning curve, but at 63 I didn't think anything could ever work as well as this does for me. I apply all of my sunscreen and then makeup avoiding the under eye. I put contacts in (I can see better to apply makeup without them) and then the last step is putting this primer on so I don't pull on that area inserting contacts. Thank you for introducing it to me!

    Thank you for doing this. Really appreciate it. I was one of those that wrote to you and told you that when I did it straight on my skin, it really dried out my skin and tore it up. But now I’ve been using my serums and my sunscreen, my moisturizer, and I’m having better results. I do not like the tart Foundation. I’m using liquid foundation. I find that a little bit drying for my skin. I was actually spreading more product further all over my face completely like moisturizer. Not using a lot. It never caked up on me. Your face looks immaculate! You are my idol.

I can’t find any foundation that matches me and yes I tried the Sephora test & it didn’t match outside the store, I tried the vein test and impossible. I can’t tell if they’re blue, green, purple…and neither can my 20-year-old daughter. I gave up on finding foundation, bought this & was about to return because it started flaking on the bottom but I was applying it like moisturizer 🤦🏻‍♀️. Tried it again and now I got it. I've had this primer for a few weeks now; used it a couple of times but after I watched your video, I went upstairs with a renewed fervor to make it work - and it DID.
    After I put my makeup on I went to talk to my husband for a bit . . . He pays VERY LITTLE TO NO attention to whatever makeup I'm using (he says I always look the same: "GREAT!" - what a guy! ... no help w/objective feedback). We're aged 60's and 70's, I'm the younger one. Anyway, I'm sitting there & we're talking & he suddenly says - "Wow - you look younger all the time! Your skin looks great!" And I replied "Well, it's the good skin care. products - - - so you agree the cost is worth it ??? (referencing a recent Vintner's Daughter purchase). So mission accomplished. The primer really works if my husband noticed my skin looking good and he also agrees that we need to spend money on skin care. And - BY THE WAY - - I've got him exfoliating and moisturizing his dry skin; he would get really flaky on his forehead and it's all fixed now with some Paula's Choice products... even have him using Timeless Vit C serum.

    I..may.. give this a try. But I did try the smaller tube from PTR for the eyes and that was a hot mess. At 61 I don't have much creasing around the eyes but I did try a little there. I primarily bought it for my nasolabial. I can see if you don't wear makeup but when I have no makeup days I just use Colorscience sunscreen, eye pencil and lipstick. I used very little, so no pilling but the effect didn't last long enough to spend $50. To all those that it works for, good for you! 👏🏼

    Hi everyone, I used mine this Saturday for the 1st time, just on the most wrinkly areas of my face. Applied it mid morning. 10:30 Saturday night I began itching & seeing small bumps appearing on my forehead. It then started on the other side of my forehead and soon on my cheeks and around my marionette lines. It also then started itching on my hand I had tested it out on. Took antihistimine & got through til Sunday A.M. then hubs went to Walgreens & a pharmacist picked out a Cetaphil generic cleanser & some anti itch lotion. Cold compresses all the suggested methods did not work. Was able to sleep overnight but now I got up with the itching again. Feels like it may be spreading ,or my mind is playing tricks on me; It drives a girl nuts!!! Today will go to the walk-in. My point is that now that this happened I saw many many complaints online just like mine. So this product should be tested on yourself before using it as it's intended. Hoping this helps someone else

    WOW, SO SO WORTH THE TIME IT NEEDS. I am 70 a retired Esthetician and my skin ( our age group) NEEDS & DESERVES A CALM TIME CONSUMING skincare/ Makeup up SESH !! Seriously I beyond and without a doubt truly believe the whole One & Done is for either 4 the younger skin or even well maintained semi texture and line free more mature skin.
    Products simply work better when they are absorbed into the skin, layer by layer A
    Mature skin woman at her Vanity table should think of this TIME as meditative, fun, relaxing, a form of expressive art
    Ladies 2 much time u say? U don't have time ? Please reconsider TIME & PREP ARE THE REAL MAGIC OF TRANSFORMATION !! with kids grown and out the door just you and hubbies or honey you deserve the time

    Too bad most of us don’t have 45 min to do all this waiting while things set and what not. I bought this duo, used twice, it pilled up on me and I waited the time said. This was a no for me, and at $84 for both, they went back quick! Usually Angie’s recommendation is spot on for me, but not this time. I’ve used makeup enuf to know that a 3rd time using this would not get better. Also this Tarte Foundation oxidized darker on me and looked awful. Hi 👋🏼
    I think you have to consider different skin types, the kind of weather where you live, etc.
    It worked for me, I kind of do same protocol as you, on my 7 min wait I laid down so my face is for sure not moving. Lol
    How ever, today here in Houston was extremely humid (and is not summer yet 😩) and I felt my skin was sticky I touched my chin and I felt like a think layer on my skin, then I remembered I had the primer.
    My skin type is oily and I use the Australian Gold spf.
    Again works perfect when is not hot and humid outside. For me.
    Thanks for the demo!💜

    Just got this the other day from Ulta’s 21 days of beauty sale and tried it a few times over and under different foundations and sunscreens. This was a major fail and is on its way to be returned. Despite how sparingly I applied and no matter how lightly I patted or rubbed, it pilled like crazy. For me, good old Mally Beauty Poreless Face Defender does a fantastic job erasing pores, can go over anything without pilling, and gently controls oil. Mally is a product that only requires a few pats with its sponge, is not sensitive to application method, and costs less. Both the Mally and PTR are silicone, but Mally is drier and doesn’t require a tutorial.

    I have all the same exact products you do and just tried this. It did OK right by my nose, and stayed smooth, but over towards my cheek, and under my chin it did turn into a crusty mess. I think one trick is you have to be super fast and put it on super thin and do not try to fix it or add anything to it. I will try this application again next time and see if it helps.

    It is a winner for me. I love it so much! I just wear it like a normal primer, over my skin care. I even like it under my eyes. I am 54 for reference. (I use it under my Makeup Forever HD liquid foundation)

    This video is so timely! The first time I used the combo I was amazed and *astonished* by the results! The second time I veered into hot mess territory, so I’ve been meaning to go back and rewatch the original video. Just goes to show that how you use the product makes a huge difference. Btw, any insight as to when your brushes may be back in stock? Thanks!

    Thanks for the demo on this product Angie. I allowed all my skin care to dry down for an hour before I applied this product. I just don't think this product works well with the sunscreen. I'm using the Elta MD UV Physical and the product pilled instantly on applying the primer. I will have to try with the sunscreen you were using.

    • @AngieHotandFlashy
      @AngieHotandFlashy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      UV Physical contains a lot of silicones that mainly sit on top of the skin, so I'm not surprised it didn't play well with the primer.

    LOVE it. I've been using it a couple weeks now after Angie tried it with the PUR 4 in 1 powder. I've been getting SO many compliments! I also use a little on my neck which is a game changer if you have some sagging there.

    I bought this the minute you had your recommendation on it. I’ve used it but it has been hit or miss. I follow your am skin care routine but I think I wasn’t waiting long enough between skin care and application of the primer… Ready to try it again. Thank you Angie!

    I bought it after you recommended it and I LOVE it!! It definitely takes some practice - but it's awesome once you figure it out. I actually apply my sunscreen AND all of my makeup besides powder and THEN I apply a sheer coat of the PTR primer and it mattifies and tightens my skin. You are so helpful. Thank you!
