  • Saturday pushloading action at Brownsville, August 12, 2017.
    Part 1 of 4.
Pull Cat is a 2U, I believe the push Cat is a 14A, the direct drive version of the torque converter 15A.
The beautifully restored LeTourneau Super C is being pushloaded by a Tournadozer. Wish I had more video of them working together.
Noisy green thing is a Euclid TC-12.
I don't know the model number on the WABCO, but it's near the low end of a range that included some of the largest scrapers ever made.
    #624

I still recall when those cats and cat cans were production equipment.
\ working in a dealer and in the dirt.
I knew a guy who used his DW21 mounted a laser to do finishing work to a pad. 1980 something in SD. CA.

I really love that green dozer with the two Detroit diesels in it. I hope I can find one when I am able to afford one to restore. I would really love to find a big ole Euclid. One of the smaller ones that are still huuuuge..lol

    • @SteamCrane
      @SteamCrane  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes. It has steering brakes instead of Cat style steering rams on the gooseneck. The originals could have the tractor turn around under the gooseneck and squash the driver. Note that this one has a short length of very heavy chain on the steering post to prevent the tractor from turning too far.

I must say that I like old machines as I would guess you do. I am so impressed at what you were putting on film.
All the stuff that I would want to see and I must say thanks because you did a great job.
I am a old timer never run these type of machines but would have been in my glory to do so.
I worked on big machines like this but on the railway here in Ontario Canada and I loved what I did with what we
had back then. Thanks again for the great video.

Not if you do this for a living. These are very cool restored machines but do not compare to new efficient quiet machines. I'm close to retirement and my hearing is about gone. No one really cared about noise back then.

That was probably a 555 or 903 Cummins. Has to be BIG for a 3208 like a Triple 6 double barrel pan on the tractror part or a 988.
