- This port was unexpected. Yoshidude4 sneakly ported this course from MK7 and made it lowpoly (with my help).
Look at these trains, wow!
Also, the music is IN-GAME! Yeah, we ported the track and instruments from MK64!
PS: Haruhi has a new model but something else also changed for her...

Ermelber I will use Super Mario Kart’s instruments for SNES Rainbow Road for my upcoming LND Kart DS hack.
Swear when the full hack gets released I will do a speedrun or TAS of this.

Is there any way you could mod tricking into this game? It's my only gripe with MKDS as a base.
worldsboss It would be too hard sadly
MKDS simply doesn't have tricking, but starting a drift as you go off a ramp does make you go farther.

Are you gonna use the ASM hack?
EKDS already uses multiple ASM hacks. ASM Hack doesn't mean "Add cups and tracks to MKDS". And no, it doesn't have that specific ASM Hack.

That track was scrapped. You can see it in the game files of Beta 1.

Ah yes, this takes me back to when a friend of mine brought over his N64 for us and we got to play MK64...those were some pretty good times. Remember heading through the train tunnels, anyone? Or exploring Peach's Castle?(We didn't have SM64 sadly.)
I guess i'm not too surprised you managed to port 64 SFX as they don't really seem to be that much better than what the DS can put out anyways.
And on the subject of retro tracks, do you ever plan on replacing Vanilla Lake with something else? I really don't like that track very much as it's all ice which makes it hard to control your kart and it also has several rather nasty obstacle placements. IMO not a very good track.
Michael Pitts We don't plan to replace Vanilla Lake but we can improve the ice of course. I find it too slippery as well xD Also I'm glad I reevoked your N64 childhood(?). Too bad I still didn't exist at that time lol

Hey Ermelber, will the placeholder track (the construction-based one) ever be an actual track in the game? Because I really like it!

Cool! Oh, also, I can't seem to finish the Flower Cup. Whenever I beat it, instead of the award race where you see the top 3, I just get a black screen. Nothing else. And the Flower Cup doesn't even load if I use some characters, like Fox. Any way to fix this? I'm using DeSmuME, if that helps.
Which version are you using, b1-s or r? By the way, the Award ceremony should always crash when you choose an altskin
b1-r, and i'm not using any altskins. I tried doing it with Lanky, Bowser...
It must be a glitch I might have fixed already
