Missed you last week Heather The Winter Spirits The Bakers Daughter and Sir Gwain sound good. I only read Christmas books in December. Today I'm starting my first poetry collection and the next book in my current contemporary romance series.
Happy December! My plan for December is just to finish my current reads. I'm half way through Little Dorrit and a few chapters into La Dame de Monsoreau by Alexandre Dumas, the second instalsment in his Valois series.
Enjoy Little Dorrit! It's one of my favorites. The adaptation would be great to stream over the holidays, too. I haven't heard of La Dame de Monsoreau, but I'll look into it, as I've enjoyed Dumas' and his son's work.
Swallows and Amazons sounds so good! I listened to a Mallory Towers radio drama growing up and loved it. I hope you enjoy Swallows and Amazons just as much!
That sounds cute! If you're interested, I'm watching Mallory Towers on BYU TV's website, which I'm assuming could be available outside of the US, too (and it's free).
Happy December reading! I'm not really drawn to Christmas books at this time of the year, I prefer to read mysteries. I currently have The Red House Mystery by A.A Milne and Clouds of Witness by Dorothy L. Sayers on my TBR, and am hoping to get to them before the end of the month (and year!).
I have to get to Dorothy Sayers in the new year. I have a book of Lord Peter short stories, but everyone says I should start with the full novels first, and so I never get around to them.
Loved the "Swallows and Amazons" books. Have fun!

Lovely! I almost never have specifically Christmas books to hand, but I'll take any suggestions.
