As always, your illustration is beautiful! Those black swans 😍 I'm getting some Pre-Raphaelite-vibes. And those shades of lavender and lilac are gorgeous. I like what you said about perseverance, it's probably the most important thing I've learned through making art. I totally agree about composition, it's something I've been working on as well. Together with a more limited palette I find it's really improved my art. Though it takes practice. Exciting to hear that you're wanting to take your art practice professionally. Definitely relate to the "struggle" of a not fun job and trying to juggle art as well... I'll be over here cheering on you in the upcoming year 😊
Thank you so much, Josie! I definitely learned that the hard way. Composition might be one of the simpler parts of the process, but it’s still far from “easy”-you probably know what I mean. Honestly, I could complain about my job for hours, but I feel like the universe has been sending me a message lately, and I’m ready to give it a shot. I hope you find the courage to move forward with your projects too. When you think about it, there’s really nothing to lose. Sometimes, it’s just about giving yourself permission to go for it... I guess...
You had me at “I want to turn my passion into something more serious. My real job… sucks.” I felt that! And I subscribed 😊 That said, I just ordered these pencils (for coloring books) and was looking for an interesting review. I enjoyed this video, thank you!
I enjoyed the outcome and balanced review of the pencils. Self critique is soo important! Especially as we become more skilled. We begin to notice small things strangers may not notice and make adjustments with subsequent pieces. Thanks for the upload!
my job also sucks, so I understand it so much!!!. I think you did the best out of this set. I bought a set of 72 pencils some time ago and to be honest light shades have quite poor quality in Castle arts, and just in general they are not very good at layering and blending comparing to high end pencils.
@@elenan1217 Thank you! I’m not entirely mad at those pencils, but I am a bit disappointed. The idea of a muted set is great, but the quality could use some improvement. Also, the lack of information on lightfastness felt a bit suspicious. They’re fine for casual sketching, but that’s about it. I understand how they can be disappointing in a standard set of colors. In this set I could at least find some justification. For a standard set, I wouldn’t be so generous. 😅
Przepięknie xxxxx❤🎉
Ojej, dziękuję! ❤
Beautiful painting! Your kitty is so adorable😍😍😍
Thank you so much! ☺️
