As a person with Autism (Asperger's Syndrome, specificaly) this quest brought back memories. As a kid, I was put through occupational therapy where I was taught how to recognize other people's facial emotions through flash cards, just like Rell. Having that be a major part of the storyline resonated with me on a deep level. Bravo DE!
(Edit: This is a complement. Chains of Harrow is my favorite quest in the game, and this comments is supposed to explain why. I didn't think I would have to explain this, but some people thought I was complaining about it. I reworded my first and last sentences to clarify.)

The Game Changer I sounded a bit too harsh, my bad. What I meant is that DE cant do quest while carrying about every single individual, because then we wouldnt get any quests. No matter the sickness, it is your job to expect and prepare for uncomfortable moments in life or gaming.

There is something odd about "the man in the wall", as we all know his favourite set of words is "hey kiddo" which is something we here twice before, with one of the times being at the end of the War Within quest as well as during the War Within quest when your tenno remembers their father saying to them "don't worry kiddo"

I think he says Kiddo specifically because our dad called us that, to mess with us and remind us of our dad (who we probably had to kill)

I don't think Tenno die unless its through aging. seeing how when we died we go into a pocket dimension and spat back out. Even Teshin eludes we cant die (anything that isnt old age).
Personally I'd imagine the weird floating in the void thing is more likely just for gameplay purposes, but who knows but Steve :P

Possibly. The Orokin seem to have had so many different forms of tech that we don't know about (meatwalls) so it's anyone's guess for now.

Really from the sound of it I don't think Wally is necessarily hostile (Edit: alright poor choice of phrase, he's obviously antagonistic and willing to attack us when he can), he really seems like he's just going to be the sort of really powerful entity that'll be lurking in the background for the most part, like how a lot of the more supernatural entities work in the DC/Marvel universes. He'll likely factor into the focus system and any additional expansions to the operators. As for Hunhow I think he's just biding his time and trying to collect more sentient remnants and build up his forces, but I do appreciate the fact that he showed up to try and subvert the Cephalons.
I mean... he did throw fireballs at us. I suppose that could be taken as mischeivous :P
Here's the thing though I feel like Wally was actively amping up Rell's negative emotions, I mean we did abandon him to basically die in the ashes of a fallen galactic empire we burned down around him, frankly I'd be more surprised if he didn't try and kill us. Beyond that it seems like Wally actively needs us to really do anything in normal space. Really he seems more like the sort of malevolent force waiting in the fringes that will happily take advantage of us when he can but for the most part is just content to lurk and taunt us from a position of safety. It's a bit convenient that Wally just starts to fuck with Rell right after we finally emerge from the dream and he makes contact with us isn’t it?
You may be right and I imagine we'll probably get a whiff of the next cinematic quest at tennocon which will probably allay any of my fears. As usual though we'll have to wait and see. DE does like to tease these things out don't they XD
on a semi-related note I do like how this quest did kinda reinforce why the New Loka dislike the Steel Meridian even more (They're basically squatting on Earth) and does a LOT to explain why the Red Veil hate the Arbiters of Hexis so much (Rell has passed down his grudge).
Nice catch with the Arbiters v Veil thing, I hadn't thought of that. I really do hope the next syndicate related quest is Arbiters based. I've always been most interested in them and what the incredibly vague description given actually means. Could be a really nice way to further discover the limits of Tenno power.

and that's my explanation to why the Man in the wall had never visited me ever since I did Harrow's quest... not like he's scared of me, riiight? lol
Really would like to know how Rell got a warframe if Margoulis cast him out, why we aren't allowed to react in quest to the idea past-us-we-can't-remember were apparently dicks, why Rell had transferrence energy, and how the hell Lotus is so calm when Palladino just casually outed the fact she's a sentient and she isn't margoulis.
Also red veil taking in the outcast and turning them into an army playing up the supernatural edgelord thing. Use fear to make up for their lack of numbers.

well rell was still part of the orokin empire, they wanted to weaponize them, so they probably gave him a frame thats made for killing or something like that
Andrew Singleton but, we already knew she was a sentient (hunhow’s daughter) because of Natah and that she wasn’t margulis thanks to how lotus talked about margulis in the third person throughout the story
Margulis herself didnt assign the children their frames, transference energy came from the void, not Margulis/Orokin,

This quest genuinely made me feel like Rell was family, we both suffered on the Ten Zero, but he suffered worse and we have to help shoulder that burden and give him peace

I still think the Tenno are Eternal, its that those without sufficient void control that it the void can eat away at them and eventually kill them without proper control.
And in every video you show us your excal prime... something us mere mortals will never get our hands on...
my theorie is that wally is the manifestation of all of the hatred, fear and strong emotions the tenno and their parents faced during the incident. that explains why he would know what the operators father always called them and stuff.

I think the introduction of The Man in the Wall was more so they can still have a villain after The New War
It actually doesn't necessarily confirm Ten o will age and die, it o ly confirms that they _think_ they will. Rell's voice was still that if a child and we've never actually seen a Tenno age, only people around them and themselves making the _assumption_ that they will given an absence of evidence either way.
I'm getting some hardcore Outsider vibes. Thats a good thing. I hope Wally playes a similar role to him in this game, that honestly would be pretty awesome.

I think that the guy who constantly calls you 'kiddo' like some creepy guy who just got out of a van with 'free candy' written on the side could possibly be your father, as I think it was referenced during the war within that he used to call you this. Certainly would be interesting!

As someone who has ptsd and night terrors with undiagnosed adhd on a daily basis. This quest proceeded to unsuppress alot of my childhood memories which I was very afraid of. Something I had always kept locked up. Let say I did enjoy the quest and I could relate alot to it. So for me this quest was both amazing and bad. Currently trying to process my old info.
Orokin: We have Imortalizing space drugs and interdimensional travel but we can't cure autism.
If it's this far in the future, why is autism a thing? And if it's socially ok to have autism this far in the future, why is Rell buillied??
Mega Guy43 Rell mentions this in the quest, during one of the card segments he says something along the lines of "why can't they fix me momma?" To which Lee responds "Becuase you aren't broken, you're just different". Autism is a very complicated disorder, every case is so wildly different that it's concidered a spectrum.

There is no reason for anyone to have any physical or mental disorders, the orokin are simply too advanced for that, unless as stated above a crazy rabid parent. It just doesn't work.

I won’t lie right from the first message this quest had me unnerved, DE did a great job on it, horror is not something I think of when I think warframe (lets just not think about what the invested actually are or the events of the rest of the main story quest) I helped that I was playing solo and on Ivara so I was moving quite slow.

Ok, so I originally thought that you had been using Excalibur Umbra throughout these videos, but upon second thought that wouldn't be possible considering the release of the videos. I just realized that you have been using Excalibur Prime this entire time. Just an observation from one of many players who will never be able to use the warframe. Still, I love your videos my guy.

So, Rell's death may not disprove the Operator's supposed immortality. It could be that the constant strain of "swallowing the poison stars" wore out his physical form. I mean, if we ARE immortal at all, it's due to the Void. The Man in the Wall basically IS the Void. It's possible that in a way, the Second Dream would have also made it harder for "Wally" to influence the Tenno. Just a theory, tho.
So I'm allied with the meridian and veil so like this quest lines up with my character
I wonder if this Man in the Walls will start making decisions based on our decisions of light and dark. I hope our decisions will start making an impact in the story, and if we lean toward the dark side, well, he may take advantage of us like he did with Rell, playing with our negative emotions. It certainly doesn't help our operator to remain optimistic after the ending of the Sacrifice quest. Maybe our operators' innocence or optimism is slowly being sacrificed? Or the operator will slowly start to lose his/her identity like Rell?
Okay, so I actually never thought about this till now, with your having mentioned the Kuva possibly being the "poison stars", Kuva is related to Immortality, as that's how the Orokin preform their body switching, like with the worm-queens, so if Rell drank the Kuva, I'm thinking maybe that's how he attached himself permanently to the warframe, sacrificing transference for immortality to protect, but with age came loss of sanity, as the man in the wall wore on him greatly, and now we're left to deal with what remains
I tend to keep a bit of RP in mind when going through the story for Warframe... and even I said that it was dumb for a bunch of kids with weird void powers to exclude one of the bunch.

There is something funny that happens if you take Umbra along during that final battle. He comes along to help you, which does make the fight a slight bit easier... Had to try it once when I saw it happen on TH-cam. Any ideas about why that could've been, Xayl?

After I finish that quest and decided to check some nightwaves quest, after that someone said “hey kiddo” i look around from the right and nowhere to be found, when I decided to go to foundry, i was jumpscared, operator is at the corner (left side of radio console). It scared the sh*t out of me and wondering how did she end up there.
Its a vision of your character, possessed by the man in the wall, perhaps using a vision of your operator to communicate with you

Hey, did 'ya know? You can use Phantoms in the final fight of the Quest. My best friend (Asperger Autist) and I were like:"Really!? -.-*" 'cause my friend did the Quest way before me and he didn't know you could STILL use phantoms in that GOSH DARN FIGHT! I remembered my phantoms pretty late and thought, maybe, just MAYBE, I can still use them because I was kind of tired of dying at that point. Yes, I'm kind of bad at fighting with ranged weapons and YES, I can be pretty slow to notice/remember things.
When I first heard about the Quest, I was like:"Wait. . . . Wow! That's actually an really original idea AND it's about somebody who has autism! Hopefully some certain people will respect people with autism now. Even, if it's only a little.", my friend really liked the Quest itself, too ^w^

I'd love a mission where like... someone is actually afraid of the Tenno? I mean, we're functionally immortal assasins that fly through space. Like, the Tenno killed off the Orokin, but it seems everyone we meet has no qualms fighting against us
Or some town that sprung up from orokin remnants that saw what we did. Even if they were just descendants they’d have been told stories of the collapse and would find us terrifying. We rock up to save the day and they’re all running screaming
@@xayl I mean like... imagine a faction invading from outside the origin system - they take down a huge chunk of Grineer or Corpus soldiers, and as they corner a high ranking General or something, the General laughs, telling them of the Tenno. The invading forces brush it off as a simple tale to try and spare the General, but some do research, and learn of the Orokin Massacre. Soon, patrols and scouts go missing, found days later, frozen solid, covered in electrical burns, crushed under immense forces, or cut down, shot and decapitated. The Tenno become a legend amongst this invading force, keeping them looking over their shoulder every waking second. So basically like... a reverse spy mission, where you have to hunt down a small group of enemies through a map, with no markers, just the occasional sound or marking on the wall to guide you to your prey.

He was never actually buildable. He was a reward for going in on the founders program shortly after the beta and afaik he’s not coming back.
I think,Rell doesn't caged himself 'cause he aged, but to contain Walle within him and his harrow.
