      There is a method to the madness in my approach.
      I did the range dps and DWT dps, and stealth dps first.
      Healers are next, then tanks. Then I will go back to the other classes. Sentinel/Marauder will be last on the list. Nothing wrong with them, just trying to get the key roles done first.
      Sadly, this game favors the range dps the most. DWT are important in some fights. And stealth classes just make doing things solo so much easier.

    Love this guide and so many details finally explained! Just wondering though, where did you get those healing training dummies plz?

      They come with the Alderaan Noble Estate stronghold. You have to unlock the back section, which does cost a few million credits to do so.
      It is a massive Stronghold too.

    Great guide. What is that stat meter you're using and how do i get it?

      It was one I wrote myself. I am currently working on an updated version. It uses the combat logs, just like Star Parse but has the time breakouts.
      I have since found that the 30 seconds and 60 seconds, plus the full per second is all you need. The 16 seconds, etc is not always worth much.
      Once I feel happy with the status of the new tool, I will make a video about it.

    what program are you using on the combat dummies that is showing your healing skills on it?

      So I developed that tool myself. But there is one available that has burst information as well.
      It is called ORBS. You can download it from the microsoft store or from this site:
      orbs-stats.com/
      I am not involved in the development of ORBS, but it is a great place to starts.

    why not use resergeance on dark heal. It is 60% more crit chance, which means if you have at least 40% stat crit rating it is guaranteed to crit if not supercrit.

    • @pug0222

      It is an interesting point. And yes there is a good argument to be made to consider this. Just keep in mind that Rally is a bigger heal since it is two heals, with it's second heal being 8 m away. And it is considered to be a "Smart" heal, in that it will heal the next lowest target within 8 meters. This often out performs Dark Heal, even with a crit, because you can get that Heal off faster. Now if you are healing a single target at range, then yes you might be better off making the switch.
      Just consider how this would change any sequence of your abilities around. As mentioned at the start of the video, there really isn't a true fixed rotation in healing. Instead there are weighted choices to be made. But some of those choices have consequences that might only appear about a minute later in the fight.
      This video was an attempt to avoid some of those pitfalls and to boil the decisions down to simple changeups in the "rotation". Switching from one sequence to the next to change what style of healing you are doing.
      If you are starting out then don't concern yourself with the possible resurgence buff on dark heal. But the more comfortable you get with this class, my recommendation would be to throw the "rotations" out the window.
      The only warning I would give, is always consider your task load. There are tricky fights, in this game, where you have to do a lot more than just healing. And having a good style to fall back on without having to think about every little nuance is very valuable when you start to learn these more complex fights. Good Luck and find what works for you!

    Question: In Solo content/heroics, do you have tank or DPS companion?
    I tried Sorc healer from lvl 1 to like 40ish then switched to Madness to get thru solo content quicker. This was all before 7.0 and loadouts

    • @pug0222
      @pug0222  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The easiest and fastest way to get through solo content is for you to be a dps and your companion to be a Healer.
      You can do almost triple the dps of most companions. And you only need about 10K HPS at most. You can do double that as a Healer. As a lower level, this can be fun. But it can becomes boring at higher levels.
      As a level 80 Madness with full gear you can get up to 5-9k HPS. If you want a challenge, try Madness with a dps companion. Use your Rocket Boots to reset your companion between fights.
      But most importantly do what you enjoy doing!

      @@pug0222 Thank you for the quick reply. Your guides are amazing. So meticulous in explaining how abilities and passives work together. The DPS thing is why I switched to Madness. Mobs went down a lot faster. Now to save up tech frags to get the correct Tactical and implants...I switch between companion tank and dps depending if heroics or not

    where's the most important number? your GCD

    • @pug0222
      @pug0222  ปีที่แล้ว

      Tricky question, because you can go into a lot of details on this.
      The GCD time is basically that white screen that goes over all your abilities. It jumps in 0.1 seconds intervals. The default being 1.5s. To get to 1.4s you need a set amount of alacrity. But alacrity also affects your timing of your DoTs so trying just to get enough alacrity to get to 1.4s is a mistake. There are some bugs where you sometimes will get 1.5s on some abilities and 1.4s on the rest. The number that works for most classes is about 2200 at this point in the game.
      You can determine the GCD you have by taking your combat logs and uploading it to parsely.io. On that website you can analyze your logs and see what the gap is between your abilities.
      I am working on a tool that can do this in realtime but I am not done with this yet.
      I hope this information is helpful!
