So in our reference table:

How did you came up with the division numbers 48,12,6 and main more
Thnx for your concern:48, 24, 16,12, 8, 6, 4 and 2 are standard units for body calculations in pattern making. Eg: Hip÷4, thigh÷2 etc. Just memorise them where applicable u will be good to go. Regards 🇺🇬

Kate mushi thnx for contacting TOPTS TAILORING STUDIO. Yes you can apply this formula to kids or teens on a reducing scale i.e loose allowances should be slightly reduced eg. In this video I used 3inches for loose allowance which is too much for 1-14 year child. However keeping other factors constant you should know that kids grow day and night so adjustable areas should also be considered if you want that child to use the blazer for quite some time.
