THIS IS THE BEST HOUR COOKING SHOW I HAD EVER WATCHED, EXPERIENCED, ENJOYED, TRAVELLED ALONG BY BOAT, AND SING-A-LONG EVER !!!!!! HUGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA !!!! XXOXOXOXOXOXXO
You gotta have heart to tackle this! (I can't watch the Titanic, I went into atrial fibrillation with a terrifying anxiety attack.) Emily is a great singer. And funny (in a blonde sort of way) I think the Titanic is memorialized because it proves a spiritual lesson that humbles man's arrogance, and where no one is exempt from death regardless of wealth. Unsinkable episode. Thanks!
I love all DPT episodes but this one had me laughing throughout. It was so enjoyable and so knowledgeable. Thanks Randy, you are the best entertainer and instructress and should have millions of followers. So glad I found you.
Just found your channel. I feel like I'm at home with my friends (our banter and sense of humour align and we basically live in our kitchens) Love all the cooking and history info. you share. Not only did I just learn some new recipes, but I know more about cooking techniques and the Titanic. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. Thank you👍😊
This episode is spectacular on so many levels. I love them all but this one has something special about it. Lol. Thank you and the crew for these gems. Every time a new episode is released I know we are all in for a treat. Well done as always.
THEE most hilarious and BEST episode of DPT ever... Laughed so much after a very long time and had to hold my hernia in, all the time !!! Very apt enactment and accessories 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
This was awesome you guys! I literally laughed the whole way thru! Even had my husband giggling! Thank you for putting together such entertaining and educational shows!
When Randy mend she had something moral to say in the last minutes of the vid, I thought she'd say that important to be full in case your boat sinks. Hilarious...Well and impecable jobb.
one of my fave videos and unforgettable! Quick notes: Gelatine is from Calves hooves ; horses' hooves are for glue AND "Moussaline" ien Francis is "muslin" ...I have a 1940's recipe for "Peach Moussaline"...it isn't always savory...
I absolutely love your channel, the food is always amazing and I think you are totally fun and entertaining. I love the shows that you have Emily on. You two are so much fun. Most entertaining cooking show ever.
Emily...you were wonderfully funnie and cute here, complimenting Randy perfectly ❤... And you know why the cocktail had big pieces of ice ? Because the iceberg was big 😂
Randy, that English mustard is the best! Here's a recipe for you (which sounds more like a dessert haha), but it is the most delicious thing ever with meats like smoked gammon, hams etc. Try it even if it sounds weard. Been a family favourite since I grew up on a farm in South Africa. we call it grandpa's mustard. It is heavenly! 1-2 tablespoons Colemans English mustard (not the weard big tablespoons in the US) 1 x can condensed milk Brown spirit vinegar (white vinegar doesn't produce the same for some reason) - Amount not known. Mix the mustard and condensed milk well, then pour in about the same amount of vinegar to condensed milk. Don't pour all the vinegar in at once, do it bit by bit, taste, pour in, taste, pour in, taste. It should not taste sweet. It should be sweet/sour equally. I promise you, it's magic! The day you make it, it might not be wonderful...so make it at least a day before. The longer the better. It will thicken by itself, and should be spreadable (that's if you haven't put too much vinegar in)
ABFABUOSLY ENJOYED THIS EPISODE....just enjoyed it sooooo much....i'm gonna make the Welsh rabbit--looks sooooo luscious...! and as others have said--you should already be having a million subscribers!!!!
ok on the Welsh Rarebit......... the lower class hungry Welsh "peasants" were forbidden from poaching rabbits on the big English landowners's estates in Wales..... so they made a joke dish, of cheese, an item they all had....OMG, Randi..... I love you...."Meghan is not a royal"......... I almost spit out my whiskey!
No Randi, you are wrong about how great crossing the Atlantic was........ The Titanic sailed in April..... in 1975, my family of six took the QEII from Southhampton to NYC in May........ it was COLD, WINDY, RAINY, and DREARY...... we were all seasick..... you literally could not go outside.... and the ship just went up and down, up and down through the angry Atlantic Ocean for 5 days......... Now, taking the same cruise we did in, say August or September..... when the Atlantic is bathwater..... would probably be amazing....... but not in April or May!!!!!!!
LOVE YOUR SHOWS, but... I'm a bit of a Titanic Nerd and have to clear this out. No, they did not have enough boats for all, usually, it is confused with the Titanic not complying with the law, the law was perfectly complied with, only that in 1912, the law that dictated how much capacity the lifeboats had to have, and it was terribly outdated, it only marked a maximum per ton (til certain tonnage), and the titanic exceeded by far the tonnage of the maximum mentioned in the law, Not only they did complied with the law, in fact, The Titanic had almost 20% more lifeboats than the law required. Until then, and to the surprise of many, except for cases in the middle of the sea, most of the drownings occurred when the lifeboats overturned, so staying on the ship was safer than them, the only problem was the water-tightness of the vessel. ... and this is when the titanic introduced great advances, double bottom, 12 watertight compartments and in the "rare" case that there were not enough, two antennas powerful enough to contact with nearby ships that could help her... in a route as dense as the North Atlantic, it was not rare to cross with several ships that made the same route. ... we all know how this went. not so many know though that a nearby ship, the California was so close some survivors assured they saw their lights on the distance, it's unknown why they never replied to the distress calls. At first, the Titanic was designed with boats for all the passengers, but many of the boats were removed because they took up space in the first class promenade, and as the ship was "unsinkable" or sinkable at a very slow pace the lifeboats were seen as a mere "bridge" between the Titanic, and the Ship that was coming to the rescue. The fire incident seems to have also had a hand in the tragedy, the temperature of the fire fueled during the day by coal caused the rivets "joining the plates of the ship's hull" to fail, and when the ship hit the iceberg instead to adapt or put up greater resistance, they jumped very easily, opening the hull like a broken seam, greatly accelerating the entry of water into the boat (and condemning to uselessness that great advance that was the 12 watertight compartments) I know I'm coming off as pedantic, but I can't help it I'm a titanic FREAK, and my friends /family can't bear any more of my corrections 😬😬😬 LOVED the rarebits, trying them tonight!!
I really really appreciate your care and knowledge! We had to rush through some things for sure and some things I just didn’t know!! - we tried our best! Thank you so much for watching and I hope you enjoy the rarebit!!!
ha, no Randy crossing the Atlantic isn't that great....... My parents booked our family of six on Cunard's QEII for a TransAtlantic cruise in 1974 (3 cabins, it must of cost a fortune!)....I was 14....siblings were 13, 12, 4........ the four-year-old had a great time at the "nursery" every day...... but us three barely-teens were bored to death........ the sea was rough and stormy in May....... the ship tossed and turned, we were often nauseous in every sense of the word......... we spent our time either in the theater watching movies (I think I watch Pappillion with Dustin Hoffmann at least three times in 5 days) or playing hilarious games of ping-pong on a ship going up and down tossing and turning. That was the sum total of the entertainment for our age group....... our cabin had little port-hole windows and we were just at the water line...... so mostly we laid on our beds and watched all the unbelievable amounts of trash washing by us hour after hour, day after day, until we got to NYC. Do not go cruising with children/teens...... they mostly will hate it! To this day, the idea of going on an ocean cruise fills me with dread!
Greatest response ever….now I shan’t go on a transatlantic cruise…sounds horrifying. I have a very dim memory of cruising on a huge ship to the Caribbean maybe …when I was super young…we all got very sick!! THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!!
@@dinnerpartytonight don't get me wrong... we do have some amazing memories of that trip.... just not the transatlantic cruise part. Late 2/74 we rode camels at the pyramids and were feted in Egypt and put up in 5-star hotels because Nixon/Sadat opened Egypt to the US and we just happened to be the first Americans to drop in.... so they thought we were somebody really important... for about 4 days.... was hysterical and fun! Greece and Germany were amazing. And of course, we had the luck to fly to Heathrow the day the IRA blew it up (we landed in Birmingham and took a bus to Heathrow, where our cruise trunks were waiting for us!) They were nice enough to take my father into the bowels of the airport to find them! It took many HOURS, with the rest of us standing/sitting around with military types with machine guns. It made a huge impression on the 4 year old!
Word! I hope you were able to see all of Wimbledon standing up for Kate and the beautiful expression of pride on her daughter Charlotte’s face! Thanks for watching!
I’m glad you said it. I wanted to say something, but I was (am) afraid I’ll get blocked: Randy is quite mean to her, and since she doesn’t let her cook much of the food, what is the actual point of her being there, other than singing??
Hi there! Emily here! Just wanted to pipe in to assure you that Randy is one of my most treasured friends on the planet, and we have a little bit of ‘schtick’ I guess you can say. Perhaps that was misunderstood this time around. Never has she ever been mean to me, in fact if someone else was, I think she’d kill them on my behalf. Working with her is nothing but joy. Thanks for supporting the show!
my friends are a lot like randy, and i'm a lot like emily in the friendship. i get it and love it. so much fun and respect and knowledge. the best friendships have this dynamic 🎉

Here’s to both of you🥂🍸🍸 This was by far THE greatest & most entertaining Dinner Party Tonight episode!💕❣️❤️
I identify with Randy as someone who isn’t *that* person, but will proceed to tell you all about it 😂 Thanks for another tragically brilliant episode!
