Alfie Boy 18 not really.. there are 2 types, with 3 or 4 cylinder banks. Those two, though, are absolutely not two v engines side by side.. unless you count the 4 bank version, which is essentially two vr engines slapped onto one crankshaft... because a vr engine is a v engine but with a small angle.
Yes Randy, that Buick would be good for you to and from the new house (YOUR HOUSE). Those things get an easy 27 MPG on the open road consistently and the trunk is about the size of the bed in the truck. GO FOR IT and thanks for yet another one! Sonny (CT)
@@mihneacireasa4613 Reliability no but running costs are high thankfully they're in the phaeton and touareg as well so some parts are cheaper and they fit on Audi/Bently
I have a VW Phaeton w12. From my experience the engine is reliable. The tranny fluid levels have to be watched. The only flaws are VW's hoses that will eventually break. It's happens on cars throughout the VAG line up.
Came up on a 99 lumina ltz with 85k og miles for $200 in january no bullshit. still going 95k i love it.... until i found a 99 bonneville with 120k for $500 in decent shape. i love these 3.8s
@@deadrabbit5566 Anybody that buys a Camero with a v6 deserves to have it blow up..... That's like taking a shower with your rain suit on lol... Seriously though those engines are great unless you run the ever living hell out of them...like most camero owners do. I bought a Centry that had 90k on it for my mom and it was still running strong when she sold it at 170k....You just can't run the hell out of them...It's not a LS!!!!
Dude I love that you love that Buick as much as I do! Those generation GM "executive" model vehicles are just plain great, stylish, comfortable and reliable rides on the cheap
Buy the park ave. The 3.8 supercharged engine is one of the best gm engines ever made. I own a 05 grand prix gtp supercharged myself. It's a very fun car and I'd love to see you do something with one of those engines on this channel
You should get the Ultra, those 3800 V6's are quite bullet proof, my 97 Lesabre has it and it's been pretty good to me. Not perfect, but fairly reliable. Although the previous generation Park Ave was built better, as Hoovie said: "It's less plasticky and the material quality is overall better."
You have to get the Ultra! Have had several gtp's and the ultra is one I still have on my list to own. In my area atleast people still want a premium for them, so there might even be some money in it
I hope he gets it, too. Back in the mid 90's, I was a delivery driver for a mechanical contractor and the president of the company owned a white Park Avenue Ultra. Occasionally, I would take it to gas up or have maintenance done and I always loved driving it. It was incredibly quick for the time and rode like it was on a cloud. I have to say, I kind-of disagree with Randy that this one wouldn't be a good flip. I'm sure it'll go pretty cheap and therefore he or Weird Beard will be able to sell it cheap and I doubt you'd be able to find a nicer car for the price from the buyer's prospective. It really is a shame that someone stripped all of the badging and porthole trim off of it but other than that, the thing looked great for the year and mileage.
That Park Avenue is really nice. It's got a lot of miles, but those l67 supercharged 3.8 engines can be Bulletproof. I would say take a chance on it, you took a chance on the Caprice.......
That Bentley conti GT is gold to have started up and ran, it’s an amazing car but a bit complex, not the worst in the world but if the electronics check out it would be worth it!👍 I have the competitor to that car witch is a Mercedes CL class w216:)...
@AutoAutionRebuilds I wish I had access to the buick, I'd love to have it due to my son fixing to start driving and will be driving my current vehicle now
Please get that Park Avenue, Randy. That car is way too nice to pass up. That would make a heck of a nice car for someone without a lot of money buying on the cheap. I had a chance to drive one when they were new back in the 90s and I have to say, the Park Ave Ultra has to be one of the best riding cars I have ever driven. It's literally like riding on a cloud. I actually think that the design has aged really well, too and I bet that one will polish up like new.
Randy, buy the Buick! Great car. Do some minimal maintenance, fluff & buff, and flip her. Will be a great first car for a kid, or a family car for someone who has limited funds. Buy it!
Sam, the Bently has been vandalized, I had a car stolen and the kids had hidden knives in the air filter. You never know what they have done to a car... All the best, Edgar
There’s a couple cars and trucks that I get that you were showing what is that Bentley for sure go to are the Dodge ram pick ups and that BMW Great contact brotha!!
I'd jump on that park avenue; at least in my area, they sell pretty quickly & bring decent money (especially the supercharged version). If you could get that anywhere near a grand you really couldn't lose on it.
The one thing about American cars is they can't design a decent car anymore, when American cars of the past where superb designs, Mustangs Cobras Corvettes , and Dodge chargers, even some old Lincolns had a certain style, American engineers and car buffs do some amazing stuff, you have a brilliant network of excellent car guys, im jealous in the UK, i love your guys passion for the auto, they really know how to bling a car and save some old classics, keep it up guys
I always loved the Buick Park Avenue Ultra but couldn't afford one when I was younger. And now since I live in the Midwest, it's hard to find one without the bottom of the doors rusted.
Get the Subaru and the Buick for quick flips . The Bentley is going to be an electronic nightmare so that's not a good find but still cool to see . Great Job Randy you've been putting in a lot of time and energy and getting so sun at the property as well 😁
Ooh, nice BMW! That would be awesome content someday- the real pain with fixing German cars is always the re-programming of fancy electronics like that pedestrian detection system. That Bentley is absolutely gorgeous, if you ever get to drive one, do it!
Back in the day when Ultras were new, I really wanted one. Test drove a bunch of used ones. I was told the superchargers were vulnerable to bearing failure at 100k, but cheap to replace. My personal biggest disappointment was the leather. Higher mileage cars showed poor wear. I bought a Cadillac Concours instead. Loved every day I had it. Wish I had another one as nice!
The BMW 650 has electric steering (variable using the comfort/sport/sport+ button on console) and XDrive (all wheel drive). Perhaps that's also got an issue with the steering rack and/or drivetrain. Enjoying watching all your videos from Ontario, Canada.
That front end damage on the Bentley I bet was from the yard forktruck. Weird Beard had the same thing. And if those long forks have been lifting a 2 1/2 Te car you can bet there is damage underneath and probably why the air suspension is not working. Treated with the respect it deserves the Bentley is worth every penny. Sadly I have seen one or two salvage buyers on YT think a Bentley is like a Toyota and totally fail to understand what these cars are all about.
My parents had a park ave ultra - Thank goodness we had lifetime warranty on the alternator. I installed 5 of them over the life of that car - also crank sensor - also the air ride system is hard to maintain. Air ride will try to level car even with no key parked in drive way. If there is a leak in the system the air ride system will kill the battery quick. you have to pull the fuse but then you have a low rider all the time - pain in the neck.
You gotta get that park avenue I want one so bad. We just had our second daughter and can't afford a car payment any longer so im wanting something decent outright for cash. Can you watch it for me and let me know?
