- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new around the house style video / get it all done style of video! What do we call them these days?! Let's just hang out together while I get some stuff done around the house and it may inspire you to get some stuff done around your house too and if not then we just got to hang out for a little bit like good 'ol friends do! I started out by throwing some dinner in the crock pot and then I headed to do a ton of laundry! I got so much laundry done thankfully! I even moped today! yes with a real mop and the mop water is truly disgusting, it's fine. whatever. the bissel water always looks like that too! hah! we live here! in our squalor. judge me. Your lime tree will thrive in a large pot! Get a nice big one that it can grow into. Put it on a roller base so you can move it around your patio easier.

We’re going on a cruise because that’s what we look forward to all year! You just show up and relax. Meals are cooked, cabins are cleaned. It’s the only way I’ve ever found for parents to actually have some semblance of a vacation. Now that our kids are older (13&18), cruises are even better!

Hi Kimberly, I use to live in Florida and the first thing that Floridan's said to my mom and I is to stay out of the damn lakes! Don't swim in the lakes because alligators are in all of the lakes in Florida. So please don't let your children swim or play in that lake! Plus, your chickens is going to be a natural draw for the alligators to come over to your yard.

Back in my day, LOL, my parents did not entertain us all summer. We rode bikes, played badminton, Barbies, records, Vacation Bible School one week at Church. We entertained ourselves. My dad still went to work every day and my mother let us play all day. I think the good old days were much better. I enjoy no plans, no pressure, no clock watching, no schedule. I think you all put too much pressure on making every day of summer vacation as busy as s school year. You should relax and slow down!
My parents did the same thing, told us to leave the house and not to come home until dark. I don't have a good relationship with either of them. lol If my kids are biking, one of us parents are with them, if they're playing soccer outside, we're playing right along side them. That's just what we like to do - be involved. Doesn't mean we're fully entertaining them, but living life along side them to make memories with them :)

When you cleaned your pantry, I think I saw your salt and pepper container. As you walk in the door, take a look to the right on the herb shelf area! So weird I remember this! 😂
It might have been! But I used it after that. I brought it outside which I never do!! I think it may have got thrown away.

I don't know if this would work for you, but when I empty the dryer, I fold it into a laundry basket. Then I can put it away when I can, but it's contained, and nothing gets wrinkled and there's no mountain. Less overwhelming, to be sure.

I don’t think we have a big problem with wrinkles, but I do have the older kids put their stuff away, I’m not doing that. Lol I sort they come and claim their baskets.
I always struggle with the wasted time of this lol! I’ve always been told to fold each item as I take it out of the dryer…but that it 10-15 minutes that my dryer isn’t running with the next load. Lol! I do this with my final load (my towel load) I fold each one and put it on the washer and then carry them all to the towel closet. Bane of my existence though, is when I drop a wash cloth between the washer and dryer 🤢 I feel this irrational want to re-wash it!
Seriously how many times a day do they change clothes. And do they ever use a towel more than once? I also think she's washing clothes over again because the kids don't put them away out of the basket and with things all over the floor, they don't know what is clean and what is dirty, so they get washed again.

When it comes to the lime tree, should either plant it in a spot facing east or west (like on either the eastside of the house or the westside of it) so it gets sun for only the morning or afternoon, not in a spot with full sun. ☀️⛅

I know it's another huge expense, but maybe you should think about installing a washer/dryer in the extension ..... the kids can take care of their stuff, releaving you a bit. Just a thought!! ❤😊
Yes!!!!!! And a mini kitchenette, maybe not a table, but an are to microwave and have a little freezer and fridge for snacks. I think it will really help the extra cleanup too

We are actually in Venice, Italy with our family. I’m doing laundry at the AirB&B. We are spending one week in Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice) and one week in Munich, Germany. We love to travel in the summers with our kids ages 16 and 13.

This Summer, I'm sending my son to a camp in Oxford university in England (I live in France) and I'm terrified already but he's 10 and Tall... it's time 😩 But... I think, next year when he has more English, it will be time to send him to Avalina's camp 😅 I can't believe I don't remember the name already! America is too far for him to go over there alone with nearly no English... But in a year or two... or three! He'll be there!
So far this summer we have gone to the park, splash pad and went to yard sales in our town. Church camp starts next week!

If you think about it, 4 x children in classes of 30 plus others they mingle with. A hubby with friends to mingle with, Wolfgang mingling with others and you in an out of the stores. It's a lot of traffic that sore throats can pass through. Before I went on a cruise I didn't go out of the house for 2 weeks and didn't see any family. Get on the ship and within 5 days I had the unmentionable disease?!?! Oh and expensive holiday insurance is not worth getting. I didn't get a single penny. No I'm not bitter😤😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Sooooooo.....just a quick question: since you guys live in Florida, are there not gators in the lake? I've been to Florida and there were literally gators floating in the ditches that run beside the roads...it was so weird! I live in Texas and we have gators as well but not like living in the ditches and such. Just curious not trying to freak you out or anything...
Typically in Florida it’s safe to assume every body of water has gators in it. This is a pretty active lake which the gators don’t like, they also typically don’t like people either (unless they’re being fed by then so don’t feed gators people), and they tend to hide out during the day so typically we stay away dawn and dusk. Also during mating season which is coming up. We just take caution but people on our lake have been swimming in it etc their whole lives

Sleepaway camp was my favorite thing as a kid! My sisters and I went to an all-girls summer camp (think original "Parent Trap") and LOVED it! I was a camper for six summers and a counselor for three.

Did you get your sore throat after Chuck E Cheese? My kids always got sick after chuck E cheese birthday parties they went to..mprobably because of the dreaded ball pit ugh LOL. Although, my grandkids still get sick from Chuck E Cheese probably due to game handles and surfaces...everything just seems so sticky 😂😫

We did laundry every day. We have 7 grown children. But, like you said, one load doesnt do it. So we did 1 or 2 loads daily....then one day a week we did like 6-10. Lol. You are such a good mama. Please don’t plant your lime tree on the ground, especially if it’s blooming or has limes already, it means it’s happy. You can for sure keep it in a pot. It’s using a lot of energy producing if you plant it in the ground it will feel the need to also grow more roots. In any case, if it has a lot of roots just up-pot 1-2 sizes. BTW, not an expert but this has happened to me 😅 more than I’d like to admit.
You can put a slice of bread in your brown sugar container and it keeps your sugar from getting hard and clumped together. My great grandma taught me that and I always do it, works amazing!

She actually told someone else that it's Florida so yes. But she said it's a pretty active lake which they (alligators) don't like and they don't go in at dusk and dawn and at breeding time.

I always use mop and bucket, forget about modern gadgets, they have too many pieces to wash or fill. A Traditional sweeping brush, mop & bucket like you have ( easier to refill) and a basic Hoover is really enough. Same for the kitchen, if you have a good set of knives, you don’t need gadgets ( with all those extra pieces to wash) , makes life easier :)
Hey😊....finally made the decision to buy a pool now I'm the cool aunt💅🏾it cost an arm & 9 legs😩.....planning a beach day....brother is having a 4th of july party in NC.....we frequent kids empire(indoor play area/slides)....funzilla(trampoline park) I made banana bread & 7up cake yesterday🙂
I havent been sick in 10yrs!!! (Aside from the Kerfluffel, where is was deaty ill for 16 hrs then normal) I have it now, too! ; sore throat bur super thick mucus feeling in lungs.
