Jackson Browne used to be one of the most respected artists played in my house, firstly introduced to our baby ears through my father's great taste in music
I did the same for my sons! In fact I took my then 12 year old with me to a JB concert. Guess it's safe to say that JB soothed his soul cuz he fell asleep during the concert. 😂
@@LLacle63 thanks so much gor your story. My father passed away from covid on novemeber and i had The Pretender stuck in my mind all the way throughout. God bless you
@@alexandergrande8310 I'm so sorry about your father! That's so sad. As you probably know, JB had covid as well but recovered. Your father had excellent taste in music! Again, my deepest sympathies.
Thanks for posting this. My wife, rest her soul, and I were at this concert. Great show, Orleans was the opening act. Again, thanks, I still have the 8 track tape but the heads are out of line on my player.
This is hardly noticeable, but I think he said, "It's good to see your smiling faces tonight," instead of the singular of face. This was kind of interesting; he was turning his attention away from the woman the song was written about, whom he was angry at, to pay tribute to the audience instead.
This song changed my life.
How did the song change your life?
We all had one of those ''photographs'' and one of those loves. This song ALWAYS floods me with memories of her......
I saw him the next night in Philadelphia ❤️❤️❤️❤️! There is no one like him...
Listening to this song brings me on another deeply emotional trip down memory lane.. Phew
I was 14 when this show was live. It reminds me of my older brothers band playing in the garage, love it. And there is an audience.
My song of the night time for me to sleep now. TY once again CJB 💜

I think the song is about Joni Mitchell. He could have been angry with her. I don’t think she treated him well after the breakup.
