We're going back and watching these older ones now because they're fun, but as others have pointed out, there are several hit songs from many of the movies. The movie Footloose had "Footloose", "Let's Hear it For The Boy", and "Holding Out For A Hero", and "Almost Paradise". Buster also had "Two Hearts" in addition to "Groovy Kind of Love". The Bodyguard also had "I'm Every Woman" and "I Have Nothing" as well as "I Will Always Love You". Of course, they may not have been hits in the UK, but they were huge here in the US. Keep up the fun work! We look forward to quiz night every week!
47/60 - Films/Music was our best round with 19/20, but only got 50% history questions right. As always, very enjoyable - nothing better than a Quiz Master Dale Pub Quiz and a glass of wine! You keep publishing, and we will keep playing! (Mr and Mrs Koosnaff)
Brilliant, well done Mr & Mrs Koosnaff 👏👏. Love the comment, and plenty more Pub Quizzes to come! Also I hope it was a large glass 🍷. Great job on the film round! Thanks for playing and have a great weekend.
My best round was the film/music round as I consider myself a bit of a Cinephile, but you genuinely stumped me with Phil Collins and "Buster". Never even heard of it, let alone the soundtrack.
It’s good not to know every one 😀- I’m sure if you listened to the song on TH-cam (sung by Phil Collins) you would recognise it 👍🏻 Thanks for playing and commenting, have a nice Sunday.
49/60 - rough beginning to the picture round and round 3 for me! 7/10 on pictures, 8/10 on entertainment, 14/20 on films/music, 10/10 on history, 10/10 on GK. Cheers! It was Edward VIII who abdicated, not Edward VII. 😉
Great score Adam 👏, I was interested to see how you would do with the history round - excellent knowledge 👍🏻. Also a big oh dear with the Edward VIII question, not only did I write it incorrectly twice! I even read out the wrong name without noticing 😂 - thanks for the correction and have a nice weekend.
It was Edward VIII not VII that abdicated.... Edward VII was 1901 to 1910, Also Wizard of Oz - Follow the yellow brick rd is also hit from this film, very flimsy for a definate answer when 2 well known songs are from the same film. Steve
Hi Steve, yes I am a little disappointed with myself that I didn’t spot that especially when I read out the answers 😳, thank you for the correction. It’s a good point about the song (probably should have picked a film with a more obvious answer), but I do feel that is the song most associated with that film. Thanks for playing and commenting.
@@ludovica8221 Thank you for the breakdown-brilliant on rounds 1, 4 and 5, round 2 and 3 are quite similar - so if it doesn’t suit it makes it quite difficult. If there’s ever a round you would like to see just let me know 👍🏻
@@QuizMasterDale LOL you correctly surmise that popular culture 1980 to the present is my weak point. Of the 3 movies I scored 2 points for, 2 of them were more than 50 years old. I love (older) music but am not a big film/tv expert

Great quiz although I must correct you on Edward 7th abdicating in 1936. It was in fact Edward 8th who Abdicated
Thank you for playing and the comment👍🏻
Thank you for the correction, I feel a little silly I didn’t spot my error .
Have a nice weekend.
Likewise, we're playing catch-up and loving every moment, no better on the old ones but hey ho 🤣
