The lighting fix is the best this game will ever look. In 2k24 if they implement jiggle physics and short hair physics it'd be the best wwe game graphically and physically. Edit: by jiggle physics I mean skin physics from punches like ufc.

Same. SvR 2011 was the last and only one I’d owned until this years Wrestlemania got me to grab 2K23. This game is really good on the eyes and has some fun mechanics. Not to mention the Jukebox choices are on point 🔥
It looks exactly the same. They just changed some color tones. But the character model details are identical. Look at goldberg though in 2022, the color though looks better than in 2023.

It's kind of interesting how they changed Cena's rope bounce footwork. He lands and pushes off his right now, even though he's known for being the one guy who hits the ropes "wrong" pushing off the left.
I been playing 22 for a year and didn't even know Kross was in the game, also Kane sliding in the ring was weird, Goldberg and Brock aint cut up like that anymore, roman doesn't throw the fist up on the 2nd rope anymore , only difference really is John Cena throwing the hat to the audience and Gunther ain't Walter in this game.. basically this is 2k22 with a few minor updates...
they used the same 3D character models of 2K22, I'm not seeing any progression, just they play with the contrast and saturation and little bit lighting
The sad thing is they only sharpened the graphics a little bit and changed the lighting the character models don't look any different and some of the entrances looked better on 2k22 just because the lighting was different these games will never be as good as they used to be.
Agreed.. crazy that the SvR series is nearly two decades old and still hold their own in comparison. Aside from some mechanical improvements in recent games, I personally feel as though the SvRs reign supreme even after all this time.
It’s crazy how nobody complains about same game from last year with a new coat of paint and a few tweek here and there from 2k wwe games like they do with madden.
I do, but I just don't bother complaining about it online. I complain by not buying the game until its 80% off. I'd happily pay full price for an actual new game or substantial update, but this isn't either. I'll happily continue using 2k22 until a major price drop makes this game worth it.

That Goldberg animation has been in the game for at least a decade now...it honestly reminds me of gilberg at this point. So goofy looking. 09:25- the old games hair looks way better.
What's shocking about this is that for as far as we've come since the 8bit era and beyond, we're still not at a point where it's indistinguishable from watching a TV show. Doesn't matter how many artists they throw at it, we get a bit closer here and a bit closer there but even in the vast majority of stills it's 100% obvious that it's a game not a real show and as soon as it starts animating, any hint of an allusion falls away. Maybe AI can finally help us get to that top level.

When Unreal showed the Matrix tech off, it was a giant jump forward but even that just wasn't good enough. The AI advancements we're getting now, will very likely take us over the threshold.
That's because game companies go for the eye candy approach instead of realism. they go for the sharp and pretty looking graphics over the blurry and reduced resolution graphics. it's crazy, because not only does this approach make the game less natural looking, it also costs more resources to output. we could've had realistic graphics in the seventh generation if game developers just blurred up the image a bit, set the resolution to 720p, capped the frame rate to 48 fps, increased motion blur, and added more attention to detail in the background. lower resolutions and a blurry image effect would literally allow us to go back to FXAA in anti-aliasing quality and save on extra performance for maybe crowds and props in the background, maybe even more detailed models for the wrestlers.
From what I can see the lighting and shadowing have vastly improved but the character model skin coloring looks to be off... A little more of a yellowish hue instead of the reddish.
They're back on annual track. How different / improved were you actually expecting this game to be? It's not gonna jump leaps and bounds in one development cycle.

Away from the updated attires, I can see some subtle differences in skin tones and face models. Most of the animations are the same so this is essentially like a DLC update. I'll wait until the 50% discounts. Also, the new Edge looks horrible lol.
