@@KnowledgeXP You literally don’t know you’re talking about. THQ was the publisher while Yuke’s developed the games. Yuke’s would also help develop multiple 2K games. It’s not that hard to look up and for some reason, everyone that shits on 2K can’t.

When referring to the games, it is common practice to mention the publisher's name, as they are primarily responsible for bringing the game to consumers.
Like you did when you said 2K Games, by your logic it is WWE Visual Concepts24.
Now come to the Yukes, Yukes was involved developing the game for 2k till 2019, but now Visual Concept is the developer from 2K20.
When Yukes developed 2K games till 2019, the lighting as mentioned above was not right. This video is related to 2K24, and now it seems they (2K Games) got it right and btw 2K24's developer is Visual Concepts, not Yukes.
I know you are a 2K fanboy but don't be a smarta*s before jumping the gun, first understand the topic, think then speak. When Yukes developed games for THQ the lighting was fine but with 2K the lighting factor struggled.
In summary, when discussing WWE video games, it is appropriate to refer to them as WWE 2K games, as 2K Games is the publisher or in THQ case it will be called THQ SvR, not Yukes SvR.
So, I think that LITERALLY you didn't know what was the context!
The lighting fix is the best this game will ever look. In 2k24 if they implement jiggle physics and short hair physics it'd be the best wwe game graphically and physically.
Edit: by jiggle physics I mean skin physics from punches like ufc.
When I was fighting Braun it looked like his chest and stomach would jiggle slightly same with Yoko

Man, coming from SvR 2011 which was the last one i ever owned.. these graphics are insane! HHH entrance with the water in the air looked so realistic. Always wanted to come back to WWE games and this year I might. SvR 09 with DX on the cover will always be my all time favorite
Same. SvR 2011 was the last and only one I’d owned until this years Wrestlemania got me to grab 2K23. This game is really good on the eyes and has some fun mechanics. Not to mention the Jukebox choices are on point 🔥

The new lighting makes a world of difference between the 2 games WOW.
God the Finb Balor side by side comparison really shows the difference 2K23 has made with skin and lighting contexts
So it doesn't look more realistic to you because I see u big difference when playing 2k22 from 2k23
Lighting is such an underrated aspect of these games. It makes it feel like an entirely different game.

It looks exactly the same. They just changed some color tones. But the character model details are identical. Look at goldberg though in 2022, the color though looks better than in 2023.

Graphics are pretty much the same. They just added more detail to smaller things like lighting and the wrestlers attire

Lighting can make or break
Lighting is super important. You can have amazing models and textures but without proper lighting it won't matter.
I'm you said it. Everyone was talking about about how much different the models look and I was thinking I was losing it.
I like how he goes by Riddle in 2k22 and has M. Riddle on his jacket but in 2k23 he’s back to Matt Riddle but his gear only has Riddle. And that’s actually correct. Small details

It's kind of interesting how they changed Cena's rope bounce footwork. He lands and pushes off his right now, even though he's known for being the one guy who hits the ropes "wrong" pushing off the left.

they used the same 3D character models of 2K22, I'm not seeing any progression, just they play with the contrast and saturation and little bit lighting
They added Ray tracing. Makes a big difference imo

Ray tracing, improved depth of field and a more realistic skin tone. They lose points for not having AJ Styles pyro tho

The sad thing is they only sharpened the graphics a little bit and changed the lighting the character models don't look any different and some of the entrances looked better on 2k22 just because the lighting was different these games will never be as good as they used to be.
Agreed.. crazy that the SvR series is nearly two decades old and still hold their own in comparison. Aside from some mechanical improvements in recent games, I personally feel as though the SvRs reign supreme even after all this time.

I been playing 22 for a year and didn't even know Kross was in the game, also Kane sliding in the ring was weird, Goldberg and Brock aint cut up like that anymore, roman doesn't throw the fist up on the 2nd rope anymore , only difference really is John Cena throwing the hat to the audience and Gunther ain't Walter in this game.. basically this is 2k22 with a few minor updates...
they need to add a randomizer for rey mysterios attire
It’s crazy how nobody complains about same game from last year with a new coat of paint and a few tweek here and there from 2k wwe games like they do with madden.
I do, but I just don't bother complaining about it online. I complain by not buying the game until its 80% off. I'd happily pay full price for an actual new game or substantial update, but this isn't either. I'll happily continue using 2k22 until a major price drop makes this game worth it.
The body shapes look a lot more accurate and they finally nailed cena face
Cena looks awesome and very much real in 2k22, 2k23 also used the same model from the previous year, so I really don't get your point.
What's shocking about this is that for as far as we've come since the 8bit era and beyond, we're still not at a point where it's indistinguishable from watching a TV show. Doesn't matter how many artists they throw at it, we get a bit closer here and a bit closer there but even in the vast majority of stills it's 100% obvious that it's a game not a real show and as soon as it starts animating, any hint of an allusion falls away. Maybe AI can finally help us get to that top level.
They might not be trying to do that. It might be too expensive. But they could certainly make the game far more photorealistic if they wanted
@@oblonsky They spend fortunes on animation and art but we're just not there from a tech stand point. Even the biggest budget movies still have that uncanny valley thing going on. When Unreal showed the Matrix tech off, it was a giant jump forward but even that just wasn't good enough.
The AI advancements we're getting now, will very likely take us over the threshold.

That's because game companies go for the eye candy approach instead of realism.
they go for the sharp and pretty looking graphics over the blurry and reduced resolution graphics.
it's crazy, because not only does this approach make the game less natural looking, it also costs more resources to output.
we could've had realistic graphics in the seventh generation if game developers just blurred up the image a bit, set the resolution to 720p, capped the frame rate to 48 fps, increased motion blur, and added more attention to detail in the background.
lower resolutions and a blurry image effect would literally allow us to go back to FXAA in anti-aliasing quality and save on extra performance for maybe crowds and props in the background, maybe even more detailed models for the wrestlers.
I wonder if in 2K24 they’ll add the 3G Graphic models they’ve been using in the shows entrances. They might not want that stuff in the hands of consumers but at some point I’m sure it will be expected.

From what I can see the lighting and shadowing have vastly improved but the character model skin coloring looks to be off... A little more of a yellowish hue instead of the reddish.

They're back on annual track. How different / improved were you actually expecting this game to be? It's not gonna jump leaps and bounds in one development cycle.
Could have kept the light between the entrance instead of that black space all in all the game does look good
I think the arena in game now is less resilient than before and less powerful when the characters fall on it. I haven't felt any improvement since after 2 K !

Away from the updated attires, I can see some subtle differences in skin tones and face models. Most of the animations are the same so this is essentially like a DLC update. I'll wait until the 50% discounts. Also, the new Edge looks horrible lol.

22 was released in winter and 23 on summer (all are dehydrated)

Am I the only one having issues with universe mode tag matches, when I start the match let's say it's the usos vs lotharios I only get one wrestler from each team fighting once I start it, even though at the beginning it was a tag match
