@@TReacts. thanks mate and everything is way better with hugs trust me mate
My favorite thing about this scene is that they don’t call out that she’s having a panic attack. The writers did the audience a solid and knew that the audience would understand what was happening, even little kids who have no idea what a panic attack is, they’ll understand that something is very wrong. This scene is a masterpiece, and I don’t think anyone, even Pixar themselves, can top it
For real, this was the only scene that made me break down into tears. But, I did not realize it was an anxiety attack, until I rewatched the scene for the third or fourth time. I am pushing 40 years old, and I have never experienced an anxiety or panic attack in my life. My brain and personality are just not wired like that. It was around the same time that I realized that Riley was having an identity crisis. As the beliefs started flooding in faster, Joy acted purely on instinct, when she reached out to "I need help sometimes", and clung to it for dear life.
Everything about this is amazingly done. I love the detail of Anxiety within the huge storm she creates, that she is moving so so so fast and yet she’s also basically locked in place. She appears to be fully still but only because of how fast she’s moving, which is kind of an amazing visual metaphor for how it feels to go through this shit, you’re locked in place yet everything is happening so fast internally as well.
couldn't agree more!!! with such delicacy but clarity! straight to the point not tiptoeing around it, so proud of this!! a great addition to the incredible first movie! Thanks for sharing, and thank you for watching with me! Hope you liked my thoughts :)
I like in the 1 joy says Riley needs u and now sadness says to joy Riley needs u
😢😊
I saw Inside Out 2 this week with my dad. This whole scene destroyed me in the theater as someone who struggles with anxiety this scene hit way too close to home.
Same!
right its soooo moving! But it is important!! so so happy to see this shown for the younger generation! A real game changer!! The whole movie touches on delicate topics but it's so needed!! Thanks for joining! hopefully u come back for my full reaction :)
Same
@@TReacts. so... gonna make money off something you didn't even pay for?
Same, it captured how it feels perfectly
This is 100% the most accurate portrayal of an anxiety attack I’ve ever seen in a movie
❤️❤️
what makes it more heartwarming all of riley's emotions came to her Sense of self aid with a big hug the close's thing you'd get to a actual hug from your emotions. It really teared me up. 😥😥
truly beautiful ❤️❤️
I just got home from watching this movie I loved it. But when I saw that panic attack I started shaking my leg then as the scene progressed I got tears in my eyes trying not to cry but then they just fell down my face and as someone who really struggles with anxiety this felt so real they did a great job filming this movie and scene
they did a FANTASTIC job here! done so delicately but so realistically! had the balance perfect!! Thanks for sharing and for watching with me :)
I don't have bad anxiety but my mom does so I can understand it anxiety is important but can be damaging if it's hard to control and how it can fill people with doubt and worries about the future that will never happen but helps with keeping yourself safe from doing something you shouldn't but I've seen quite a few comments putting crap on this scene and anxiety that they made the emotion seem cute and not so bad when pixar made it for all ages to understand which inside out in my opinion is for to make complex emotions simple enough for all to understand and what some people have to live it every day or more often so I don't have bad anxiety that could always change in the future my mom had a hard life which plays a big factor for her so I can understand a bit better how it's like for people that struggle with it the people who make such negative comments either don't care and know by making a comment will attract attention or they are saying it because they don't know what it is and are attacking something they don't fully understand yet and when they learn it won't be very pretty
When I saw the scene, when I started to hear Riley's heart beating, my heart started beating fastly too, I started shaking, and my head started to feel heavy and light at the same time. As a person with panick attacks, damn, this scene really caught me off guard, I was starting to have a panick attack myself, I literally hugged my little sister arm in that moment, if my sister wasn't there I would probably had a panick attack.
I suffered from panic attack and this scene is the best representation of a panic attack I’ve ever seen.
totally agree with you!! ❤️
I won’t forgive myself if i don’t watch it again on cinema
IT HAS TO BE DONE AHAHAHA
Ngl, the movie was pretty good!
Watching this in theaters and realizing what was happening to Riley in real time, as anxiety started freaking out, that she was having an anxiety attack. That moment literally brought me to tears cause it was so relatable, and shows that these can happen even in minor situations. Then when she caught her breath and felt the bench around her, I felt her relief. The movie deserves awards. And any actors who didn’t return for it missed out big time.
You know this scene is actually very realistic and Pixar’s comeback if bro reacted to this separated from the rest of the film
i watched the whole film, my reactions on my channel!! just took this snipped because it was SOOOO moving! thanks for watching, hope you check out my full reaction :)
Anxiety is a common struggle that many of us face, and growing up in a South Asian or Sri Lankan family, it was a constant presence for me at home. In these cultural settings, there is often a strong emphasis on academic success, with children feeling pressured to excel in every subject, including math, to prove their worth and secure a successful future. This pressure stems from the belief that achieving top grades in school guarantees a prosperous career and validates their intelligence to their families.
Over time, I've learned to advocate for what is right, both for myself and for others. I find myself constantly challenging my mother's judgmental attitudes towards strangers, as I've come to realize that she may not fully understand the struggles people face. Dealing with her stubbornness and tendency to gossip negatively about others behind their backs has become exhausting. I am tired of the relentless pursuit of perfection that she expects from me, especially when it's not something I ever aspired to achieve.
thank you so much for sharing this! your kind words go so far!! anxiety has never been mentioned in this environment which is FANTASTIC to see now! So so amazing, a game changer for sure! Kids can start to understand what is happening for them :)
One little detail that I love that another reactor called out…Anxiety is LITERALLY spiraling as the attack goes on, just running in circles pressing every button on the console to try and get Riley to do ANYTHING
Even after she’s physically let go of the console, she’s STILL spiraling, it doesn’t stop until the big hug
I've had panic attacks many times and seeing this in theaters almost made me cry because the scene felt to real
totally!! that's why it's sooo important! spreading awareness for the younger generation! so incredible! hope you are doing well :)
I agree
This scene destroyed me. Now twice 😢
RIGHT ACTUALLY SO SO HEART WRENCHING! but super powerful!!
Yo, this scene had me all fucked up , I was actually having an anxiety attack while watching the scene😢😢😢😢
awhhhh stop i'm sorry it caused that for you!!! it's super important to have displayed i'm so glad they didn't shy away from it :)
@@TReacts. No, no, it's NOT your fault, and yeah, I agree👍🏻
A detail I didn't notice before is that Joy hugs the new sense of self when it says "I need help sometimes", as if to say "yes, you do need help, and I'm here to help you."
Such a little detail that makes it so much more emotional. And this depiction of an anxiety attack is so hard-hitting. As someone who actually struggles with anxiety on a daily basis, the literal spiral Anxiety makes as she moves so fast she looks like she's in several places at once is perfectly accurate. And when Joy just phases through her, further showing just how fast anxiety is moving to try and "fix" what she did, she looks so paralyzed with fear even though she's still spinning out of control. It's just too perfect, and I cry every time I rewatch this movie.
It shows you how they feel during anxiety attack and panic attack
it is sooo well done definitely!!
This scene has given me nightmares of Anxiety screaming in my ear causing it well then to bleed and for me to die in the process by a random knife that wasn’t
Thrown by Anxiety but by a unknown person which caused me to die
oh my goshhhh how wild!! it's crazy how dreams have that effect! i spoke about this in my reaction to the first movie! TOOOO FUNNY! thanks for watching :)
@@TReacts. you’re welcome Anxiety might have something to do with this brutal dream
Also when she said in the tv “Joy~ i know you’re in there~”
Like dude that f*cked me up another reason why i hate this Rare Wubbox looking b*tch
@@TReacts. you’re welcome
I get the chills all the time
awh thank you so much for all your comments!!
I finally watched this movie yesterday, and I can see why it is one of the highest grossing movies of 2024. The word-of-mouth promotion for this movie must have been insane.
ah amazing!!! for real, it was INSANE loved it so so much!!
You know, when you think about it, Joy and Anxiety are not so different. I mean, they both had to learn the hard way that it's not their place to decide who Riley is.
Everything about this movie it broke me and I cried during this harsh scene but I absolutely love this movie for sure I can relate Riley to what I'm going through in life
As i also have had 2 anxiety attacks, this movie feels so relatable to me in some ways. This scene was so accurate to real life!
Bruh, this is completely different from the first movie. Something you wouldn't expect from Pixar.
I watched it in theaters yesterday the part when Riley’s friends told her that they’re going to a different school I felt the same way as Riley after I graduated from i high school I was feeling sad and stressed also feel less joy like the part that joy said is that you get older and feel less joy I get that feeling because the life changing is difficult because the time flies
Anxiety is my personality
Joy: All these faults, i kept trying to hide. This is how Riley sees herself truly?
The right thing Disgust. No one is perfect. She needs to see that and let it out.
What have we done?!
Joy:I love you, no matter what.
Sadness-Me to.
Fear: Its gonna be ok. Your safe.
Digust:You can't see us... but
Anger: We'll always be there for you Riley.
Anxiety: I never want to hurt you.😢
The hug breaks me everytime
stoppppppp heart wrenching 😭❤️
When Riley chose to have joy at that moment ooof let the tears fall
As soon as I saw Anxiety start turning into a tornado I knew Riley is having a panic attack! Because Anxiety is putting to much pressure on her!
I rewatched this movie like days ago, yeah, I want to cry to this scene🙃
An emotional rollercoaster! Thanks for watching with me :)
I just saw this movie today and I cried a little. Keep it up bro!
same!! thank you so much! my full reaction is also up on my channel :)
2:05 the EF5 tornado
for real!! crazy crazy!!
I saw that in into the storm movie it’s big as the ef4 tornado
I saved this vid
I had anxiety watching this scene 😭😭
This scene hit so close to home but it wa done so well. I literally was entranced by the way they were doing it, just well done Inside out 2.
totally agree!! :)
I couldn’t breathe when I watched this scene in the theatre today.
I love this part
it's a really difficult part but so well done!! blows me away every time!!
I like that through out the movie fear is bragging about Anxiety it’s like he’s Envious about it
absolutely, think you are on to something there!!
I am
It's actuly kind of funny I watched it in the theaters and as soon as the panic scene started I started responding in the same way. As someone who struggles with anixity it was very helpful to see it properly protrayed. For those who don't know what she does after the attack is a grounding technic I use all the time.
This scene hurts me i have bad anxiety 😭
awh thank you for sharing! hope you are doing well! this movie is super important, finally sharing some awareness for anxiety!!
@@TReacts. I get overwhelmed a lot
How were you able to watch the movie without going to the theaters?
all over youtube :)
@@TReacts. Thank you!
I hate how random parts we can’t see anything because his face is in the way
Honestly When I Heard there was A Second Movie Coming Out I wasn’t that excited. Didn’t like it that much but after this Scene My Opinion is Completely Different They did Fantastic!
I have ptsd and I get bad panic attacks daily. I actually have a service dog that helps me with them...
having anxiety attacks suck.......... it literally feels like your dying... all I want is a hug when I have these attacks... nobody would ever want to give me a hug so I rely on my dog to alert, task and hug me. she also does Cardiac alert (for people who are going to say she is fake and just an ESA)
❤️❤️❤️
I’m gonna cry
it's soooo emotional isn't it! but i'm so thrilled to see this topic in a movie for the younger generation!!
Я так волновался на этом моменте..😢
right its super difficult topic to tackle! but done so well!! love love love this film!! thanks for watching :)
Before I
went to wacth thus I had a horrible panic attack and wacthing her having I I going to have to another because it love wacthing myself with it
i need to see this movie again
RIGHT! so so good!!!
me when halfway through summer break
My dad got me inside out too, so I've already watched it. I have seen the end. You'll see what she's doing soon.
loved it so so sooooo much! thanks for watching with me :)
I cried when riley had a panic attack 😭😭
superrr moving isn't it!!
@@TReacts. yesss!
I cried so bad😭😭😭
🎶PIRATE, PIRATE, DIRTY STINKY PIRATE!🎶
Disney supports genocide, fuck them anyway
I love pirates!! Captain Hook is my fave for sure :)
Anxiety attack 😮 ive only ever had one. I thought my heart was about to burst out of my chest. (Its different from a panic attack)😮😮 So relatable. So accurate. Haven't seen the film yet but im already crying 😔 certain stressors often trigger anxiety attacks, and they may build up gradually. In contrast, panic attacks typically happen unexpectedly and suddenly. Anxiety often causes physical symptoms, such as a racing heart or knots in your stomach. Yep thats what i had
I've only had one as well! I felt like I was worthless like I was gonna die.
awh thank you so much for sharing! this film is super important and will allow people to have a greater understanding! hope you are well :)
i'm so sorry to hear that!! wishing you the best :)
@@TReacts. Ohh thank you, wish you all the best too. Keep it up 👍
@@shevaunvan-hoff4069 it's a very very uncomfortable feeling (your body is in panic mode like fight, flight or freeze). Expesually l if it happens in public.
i love this part
it's defo a real stand out!!
I have been watching u ever since you reacted to encanto
i think you mean someone else? i haven't seen that movie :)
@@TReacts. u look like that someone else 😂
How did you get the movie on video format? Isnt it only in theaters and not on any streaming services
there are lots and lots of clips up on youtube, thanks for watching with me :)
This guy looks like a younger version of Conan O'Brien.

I think hes more on the screen than the movie
Yeah, I’m being annoyed when I can’t hear!
that's how reactions work, i'm not here posting the film.... it's my reaction, hope this helps :)
because of copyright i can't just upload the whole film.... wish i could but i cannnot!!
1:47 everyone
I'm not coming to screen comment. We're not talking about it now well. Does the required limit true sense of brief? But I'm using the voice so I don't have to type it seriously. It's quite how true sons of South Dallas batteries. What are you doing this mate?
hahaha sorry? i don't understand hahaha
Wow... that's a quality pirate rip. You should know this isn't on streaming yet and wont be until September. You just made it obvious that you pirate your media.
It is all over TH-cam! So I couldn’t resist ahaha! Also wanted to capture my reaction, thanks for watching :)
