In this video, I show you how to tie two types of loop knots you can use for any lure application.
If I can get away with it, I won't use lure lips to attach my lures to my leader - I would rather use one of these two knots. There have been quite a lot of instances where the clips opened up on me, but my knots have stayed true - So when I can, I avoid them. I am an advocate of going as stealthy as possible and clips give a bit of attention as well - but the top most reason is the clip failing, for me, taking away as much of the weak points in my system makes the most sense, the knot is already a weak point as we know, adding a clip makes two weak points back to back.
In this video, I show you how to tie these two loop knots, when I use one, and when I use the other.

Great tying tips but wished u had done it with the lights on instead of in darkness
Actually did these two in a video already - just that these are specific to lures. If you dig around the channel, There's at least two videos where I show these two in normal lighting.
Nice improvisation with the uv light 😂 speaking of which, have you had much luck fishing at night with the uv lures? I tried the other night and didn’t get a single bite!
At night, they are not UV lures. :) Either UV or not, I've used plastics at night - You catch some fish on them on account of the vibration they make, UV is more of a visual queue, so if you want to use that part of it at night, I guess you could use black lights like some of the guys in the US :)
@@TheFishingKit ah ok, so best to use lures with a lot of movement? I had one of those lights that make the fluorescent lures glow but no success. I’ll try again as it’s so peaceful and quiet at night!
@@devlincook5741 each lure actually has some vibration to them, not just specific to "vibration lures". The fish feel the vibration, not matter how minute using their lateral lines. Like how they can detect a worm...
