Hi Zentangle!! I absolutely loved the tea painting! I felt like I was a native American, as they must have painted just like that back in the day!! It was very fun and interesting!! Thank you!! xxx
Personally I wouldn't use tea (or coffee) because it is acidic and will affect the paper negatively over time. Maybe get the same effect with a weak watercolour solution of burnt umber, or maybe a few drops of walnut ink in some water? The colour is beautiful but it's not archivally sound. Sorry to be negative because this is going to be a fantastic project. Already looks fabulous.
Hey! Thanks @Dreymasmith! I was super frustrated trying to get the right color (tea? Coffee? Espresso? Butterfly tea?). I ended up using watercolors to make make the light tan wash and then like a complete and total Artist I did the rest of the work with my watercolor set! Thank you for your thoughtful idea ❤
Well, I accidently discovered that Coke works just as well as tea when I spilled a can of it on my paper before I started. It's too bad it is just a big blob instead of in the appropriate spaces!
I made my own using a normal tile for the larger square and a bijou tile for the smaller. Then I placed the circles using a compass and finished with the surround.
Is this Fabriano paper? The paint/water will dry quicker depending on your locale; I’m in Arizona right now and everything dries very quickly here. Also watercolor dries lighter so you might want to add more color later on.
@maskichef if it's the same as the tiles then it's fabriano tiepolo and it's 100% cotton paper, it may be used for watercolor but it's not watercolor paper
Hello. It’s cotton. After using quite a bit of tea and water with the watercolor pencils, after it was fully dry I carefully ironed mine flat. ❤️ Also, I have seen others who have drawn their own similar template and tangled along. There’s many ways to join in. 🤗
@@Zentangle Hoping you might consider a way for us to buy just the paper/pre-strung tiles/templates for your project packs. I have all the tools I need. For example, for PP22 and PP23, I would gladly purchase the tiles and paper. Thanks for considering.

This is a great idea for laying down a subtle patina, the colors with the tea is really a good effect.

Was there a template that you could print if you don’t have the project pack? Or just dimensions so we could draw something similar?

Thank you for that!

Yes it is the same paper as our original tiles.
So, it's not cotton watercolor paper? @@Zentangle

It's a pretty penny...... for buckling celuloze.... with a few pencils.

What is the size of paper
Oui, j'aimerais bien savoir aussi 😊
49.6 x 29.5cm or 19.5 x 11 5/8 in
The paper being painted upon is from the kit they are selling on the site. This is a project kit.
Yes, I would also like to know the size of the paper.
I would also like to know the size. I’m in the UK so need to make my own template, the paper type and weight would also be useful 😊
Is there a printable template?
No, It is available in the Project Pack materials.
