- An illustrated talk by Mary-Anne Unrau on her adventures in the South Pacific, Australia, South Africa and Norway.
Larry Roberts and Mary Anne have been sailing their Waterline 43 cutter all over the world since they first launched her over 20 years ago. They have sailed more than 120,000 miles, have crossed every meridian, sailed south to Antarctica, north to Spitzbergen, and squeezed through the ice in the North-West Passage. They have sailed the Southern Pacific Ocean, including Australia, the Coral Sea, and New Zealand before heading to Chile and home to Victoria via Honolulu. Mary Anne is the author of a book about their voyages: Around the World with Traversay III.
Presented by the Bluewater Cruising Association, amateur sailors interested in offshore cruising. Some of us have been to far away places, some are dreaming of going, some are actively getting ready to leave on new adventures. We share our stories, our dreams, and help each other learn skills and techniques needed to go offshore and come back safely. Enjoy this video and others, and come visit us at www.bluewatercruising.org.
Amazing. I'd love to try this live someday
