Mat Madiro Rules! He really nailed every show. Unlike his two predecessors, this guy make Trivium on the constant tempo. And the drums almost sounds like the record, unlike nick that always added too much improvements.

+Connor Deal only thing that i was not too impressed about this particular song was the clean vocals were too clean, they weren't emphasized because it doesn't carry out the dynamics of the song altogether and this song is meant to be sung dirty clean but.......................i do, however, understand the "wear and tear" on the performer because of the excess fatigue that carries along with it in the long run........just expressing my opinion :D
Glad they finally have a drummer that actually plays the correct drum parts! Nick was a decent drummer but took all the feeling out of the songs that Travis performed.
+Christoph13131 Nick always tried to play Shogun songs differently and it really killed the groove, but its a good thing Mat can actually play the songs right.
Mat Madiro is awesome in "Into The Mouth Of Hell We March". My favorite Trivium song finally played as good as it deserves. I love the drums in that song.
Bjornkipcorn HD For sure. I didn't actually realise how sloppy Nick's playing on the Shogun songs was until seeing Mat playing in these videos. Dude's rock solid and his playing is really powerful.
Bjornkipcorn HD Actually, Nick was tighter, which was pretty much the problem. His drumming was far too mechanical, whereas Mat plays with a bit more feel. Definitely prefer Mat, though. I hope he sticks around
Dusan Kovacevic Nick is a great death metal/grindcore drummer. Check his work on Implosive Disgorgence or Maruta, but he doesn't fit well in Trivium, although Shattering the Skies Above is one of my fave songs by them.

Starting to like Mat a lot more and was gutted when Nick was kicked out, Mat plays these songs fucking flawlessly but have yet to see whether he can tackle songs like Shattering The Skies Above or Kirisute Gomen
i think you are confused my friend, the one who always fucked the tempo of the songs is the one who left the band (nick) ,the one who is bringing justice and playing the songs in the way they deserved to be played is mat
Vitor Heerdt I'm sorry at what point did I talk about tempo? At no point, I've already credited Mat for playing these songs great but would like to see if he handles the harder double bass beats (like in KG or the Deceived) and blast beats well
The new Trivium songs aren't really interesting to me anymore. I'll pick up Silence in the snow cuz I'm a long time fan but now since Matt doesn't really scream anymore, I'm kinda interested in how a band would sound like if Corey was the lead singer/screamer and what he would with his own band
I am glad Matt is doing vocals the way he wants to. Truly, good for him. But why ruin the incredible vocal styles of Shogun with out of key singing? I understand why they're tuning down a half step, and I know the toll it can take on one's voice to sing heavily repeatedly, but this is just lazy sounding and kinda ruins the songs.
+aly garner Yes he does scream. Just not as intensely at this time because he's trying to develop with a new screaming technique to keep his voice from getting damaged. That's why Corey is handling most of the screaming work right now.
Into the Mouth of Hell We March, best TRIVIUM's song...
I'm impressed. There were no tempo issues during into the mouth of hell we march. Plus I really like how they harmonized the ending sweep in the solo
Connor Deal New drummer is badass! Much better than Nick. Not sure what the hell is going on with Matts voice here though?

I feel the same way. The new drummer Mat knows how to keep the groove and actually play in the pocket lol.
+Zac Waite I'll reserve judgment until I hear them play Kirisute Gomen with Mat.
Christoph13131 Kirisute Gomen is a killer track, first song I ever heard by Trivium
+Lugal Ki En And the drum intro is badass and very technically challenging. Nick never played it right, so if Mat can, I'm sold.

4:12 lol Mat Madiro drops one of his drumsticks. great performance best live drummer trivium has had by far.
Hehe. Just wait.
God Matt does these songs justice. I loved Travis' drumming, and Matt really nails it.
the vocal harmonies are on spot. love it
god i love trivium love their songs they makeme throw away all my anger

I swear mat's drumming is a killer
...is it just me, or just the drums hit the right parts and gets me on the 'groove'?
Mat is a great drummer!!!
The new drummer is deffinetely tighter than nick
Bjornkipcorn HD exactly what i was thinking
Bjornkipcorn HD For sure. I didn't actually realise how sloppy Nick's playing on the Shogun songs was until seeing Mat playing in these videos. Dude's rock solid and his playing is really powerful.
Bjornkipcorn HD because Nick improvised

funny because that was nick's drum tech lol
anthony mena And Nick was drum tech for Travis :D
Yeah I knew that one too.
Lotta Iron Maiden influence in "Into the Mouth of Hell". Shit yeah
Matt is singer higher than usual, I don't know if that is a good thing...
Hargonaut Honestly, he's out of key a lot on this recording. he's definitely singing too high during the verse of into the mouth of hell.
Mahmoud Kattan loud maybe, not "high"
Davi Silva He is singing too high on Into the mouth.
he was deffinately to high in into the mouth of hell se march

What kind of camera was used?

what kinda cam u use fuck your audio is good mine sucks?
Does Matt not scream anymore? I'm so fucking lost.
He does not because he enjoys singing more than screaming. Also I think he blew his voice one and has been trying to be more careful since.
Corey does the screaming and it cool for me he have a nice scream
+aly garner Yes he does scream. Just not as intensely at this time because he's trying to develop with a new screaming technique to keep his voice from getting damaged. That's why Corey is handling most of the screaming work right now.
+aly garner Watch Like LIght to Flies performance on this same channel. He does scream.
Madden 09 anyone?
this is how I learned of trivium
+Michael Strohl same
Tehy should play in B standard not A# standard
+bassican7 Matt can but when you're playing 200+ shows a tour it's really hard. This just makes it a little easier
Connor Deal Now that he has developed his voice if he is going to sing more at least do it like the records
A# sounds heavier to me anyway
Since 2008 his vice got more low, so they need to tune half step down so the guitar sounds good with matts voice
That dude is far far faaaar better than that nick. All nick did was play fast beats.
Is it me or matt fucked up a part on march solo
I mean he did it alil but not much.
